The EU are the ones pulling your leg, not apple. If you're mad about this, you should leave EU/vote, not throw out your iphone - if anything that just supports the law you're mad at.

OK, so to summarize EU just wants to collect my data more easily and don't like Apple having such good security. I was sooo glad when apple released iPhone Mirroring, Share play and Apple Intelligence, but now I can't try them out. If the DMA says that the features must be available to use on different devices then they wan't it to be accessible to more people, and to achive that they just ban everything they don't like. Im upset right now, and sad, really sad. Good video though, I liked the way you explained everything.

Nice perspective. I really appreciate EU’s efforts to protect the end user’s rights. Even though they do a lot of mistakes, I think tech giants are also not coming with the best intentions… I think both parties see each other as rivals instead of thinking they push each other to be better… like a good friend 😁 Also EU makes a lot laws but i don’t think they enforce those laws. They are just slowing honest businesses. The ones do violations are usually getting away with it until a whistleblower comes out..
True. I also appreciate the efforts to level the playing field but, as you already say, those heavy regulations often affect smaller business much more than those for which they were designed. In this case, I am curious how this arm wrestling between Apple and the EU ends.
1. Security: Its an implementation detail if its risky or not. You can do it on device where the data is decrypted anyway and combine it with additional security measures like a secret key that is send to the user via 2FA. So no harm here if companies agree on something 2. If Apples AI is not available here its fine, we gonna force them to enable integration and it opens chances for companies in europe to offer it on their own terms. Good for competition in the market. Destroying the silos should be our main focus right now
The issue isn’t if a user can keep it safe. It’s if 3rd party integration will keep it safe and not data scrape. Ai Isn’t like regular software and the data that it knows goes beyond what your regular usage data is like. The security and privacy that Apple are offering hasn’t been done before. Their Ai model is on device. It’s also on a private cloud servers for when you need larger Ai models. All privacy and security can be verified by 3rd parties.

I am what people would call an apple fan boy but I swear lately I'm getting tired of all this BS. I really love apple products but I was never closer to switch all my devices and say bye bye to apple. I would understand if they would restrict for specific languages (which is still kind of annoying but understandable) but restricting practically 90% of everything in the update is just ridiculous. Apple can complain that it is about EU Regulations but when other companies are doing it so could apple. In my view, this is just a ploy to try and make consumers pressure regulators into making changes more advantageous to Apple. Well I'm not falling for that. They can keep their features, I'll keep my money.
