    This is a sound system I dream of building and having in my own personal car. The accuracy of the sound reproduced is amazing. The craftsmanship is insanely accurate keeping the aesthetics of the car's interior. I know this video is over a year and a half old, but please extend my appreciation and jealousy of his excellent work! Cheers, be safe, and stay healthy!

    This is insane o.O Who has this kind of time and patience and skill :O! And if you recorded that through a phone and it sounds so impeccable, I can't even fathom what it would sound / feel like live. And even though it was already apparent, your favourite phrase of "the install makes it" is so true. Definitely going to try and find a meet this year and maybe even try to get to an EMMA event or something.

    Great build!! excellent sound im sure, but one question... how do you work around the side impact airbags in the A pillars? Im currently building a system for my f10 550i and want the do something similar but dont want to get an airbag light by disconnecting the bags.

    • @lbaudiolojze6797
      @lbaudiolojze6797 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Car doesnt have airbags on a pillars, otherwise such install would not be possible from safety standpoint

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not entirely true. Normally the end of the side airbag is only bolted to the A-pillar. When it blows, it pops the top of the A-pillar’s clips and pushes the top of the pillar towards the middle of the dash. The side airbag pops downwards along the side of the car, so until the pillar is not bolted in on the top, you should be fine.

    Verry, verry nice build and it looks awesome!!! I have a question to the builder: How did jou connect the digital player to the HU. Did you use the Pioneer CD-RB20 or did you connect it digitally to the HU. When you connect it digitally, how did you do that and did jou have to change something to the HU or something else? I want to connect also a digital player to my RS-D7RII but not succeed in it. Hopefully you have an answer for me. Greetz.

    Amazing build! Fabrication is impeccable! Did he say the doors were ported / tuned to 25 Hz? Nice jbl gti!!! Especially 2 6.5” in the doors with ported pods!!! Ppl love those GTI speakers and subs. The new AF GB series is the newest iteration from Andy Wehmeyer who was head of JBL/ Harmon. Dam the 4” are ported too or is that just an opening for defrosting windows?

      @maxfmfdm 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@uptobatentertainment I'm sure they are tuned higher than 25 hz. thats too low the idea is to extend the response just below where they would normally become too output limited. and get a somewhat flat response

    Awesome build. Amateur question... how do u send a single tuned midbass signal from processor to 4 speakers? Do u just "Y" out from the processor to the amplifier? I dont understand how to wire dual midbass drivers.

    • @lbaudiolojze6797
      @lbaudiolojze6797 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You overthinking things,.... STEREO low level signal from processor goes to 2 channel amp dedicated to bass duties, and two drivers are wired parallel to each channel so the final load is 2 ohm....that is it

    Which speaker will be the best for car dash ? Amongst jbl component speaker 6.5 inch & infinity reference 4022cfx four inch speaker ? & why plz reply ?

    • @lbaudiolojze6797
      @lbaudiolojze6797 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for late responce!
      There are no best drivers for given situation, but out there are a few capable drivers which will perform well. It is more important that you install them firmly with right angles and give them optimum conditions to operate like they should. The choice also depends if it is for 2 or 3-way system. I have heard a few systems with different speakers and result was very install/tuning dependant - one of the best were Hybrud Audio Legatia X 6,5 in Peters Honda, friends winning VW DLS Vertigo Beetle, Alphard Black Hydra in 2-way config,.....the choice also depends on your listening taste, preferences, budget, avaliability
      ....

  • @regboss6237

    WOW who did the install? thought KEF only did home hifi?

    • @lbaudiolojze6797
      @lbaudiolojze6797 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Install was performed by me - LB Audio (Forums) aka Lojze Carman (FB). KEF had short time in car audio, made a few nice drivers and then shut car audio program down in late 90s. They had a few component systems and a few nice coaxials + subwoofers ranged from 8"-12". Subs are impressive for their age, have 3 pairs of their 8" versions, initial plan was to use 4 of them in push/pull config in ported enclosure
      , but later decided to go only with two drivers in ported enclosure.

      Im my case I had ported bass drivers in doors and subwoofer in this version of system and bass was very detailed, accurate and bass/subbass blended nicelly. Later I went with sealed enclosure for different subs and I had some issues at the begining, but was able to solve those issues and result was also good
