How to Make Solid Perfume Sticks: Recipe #5 in the My Buttered Life Personal Care edition

1.5 oz carrier oil (grapeseed, sweet almond, apricot kernel)
1 oz beeswax
3/4 to 1 tsp essential oil(s)
Decide ahead of time what your scent blend will be and pour those into a small container.
Melt the beeswax and oil in a double boiler.
Remove from heat, stir in the essential oils and pour into your containers (or use a medicine dropper). You can use lip balm tubes or metal tins.
Allow to harden and then use or give as gifts.
Fragrance oil can be used in place of essential oils, but double the amount.

Hello Renee, I love your video. This is a great choice of oils. I totally believe in solid perfumes. I have been making those for many years. My dog Kenny had an infection under his chin for months, nothing worked on it until I made my own medicine cream. I made it the same way I make solid perfumes, but for the medicine cream I used a whole wide range of different medicinal oils like pine, rosemary, juniper, also frankincense, citrus, patchouli, rose, vanilla, cedar, and many more, I used like over 30 essential oils in a base of beeswax, Neem oil, and olive oil. Kenny's pimples all healed up, it took about a month or longer even, but I applied the cream on his chin twice a day for several months diligently and all healed up and the hair grew back on top of the little scars. I was so extremely grateful to mother Earth for these healing plants. Since then I have cured a number of health problems with plants. Kenny loves this medicinal cream, he licks it off my face whenever I applied it. I keep finding more and more natural remedies. Kenny and I are also taking Diatomaceous Earth Clay which is healing his joints. I buy from Eden Botanicals, their oils are very pure.

ficktao I think that citrus scents would be a safe bet. Lime, lemon and bergamot scents can make a good masculine fragrance. I also recommend using some woody notes (sandalwood, oakmoss, pinewood, etc) if you have the oils.

Thank you so much for this wonderful video! Today I tried making this solid perfume but I found that my top notes immediately disappeared and were non existence in the solid mixture. I even used a much higher percentage of oils in my mix. This was so discouraging. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks again!
