Emin has the best Wing Tsun structure from my point of view. Most normal people he could beat up with some boxing or TKD moves too - on the other hand I have seen him do soft and smooth WT at the LT-Birthday in Hong-Kong. Even though he was said not to attack the 8th level and higher WT-guys he was always in. To me he does not only try to win but really applies WT in what he does! That´s why I like it, he represents the style/Art of WT in hi moves...

Surely Emin is a superb fighter and an excellent teacher(unfortunately I never met him in person,I entered the EWTO about 1 year later he leave Leung Ting federation),but we re not Emin, and what works for him not necessary work for me.Who met him in person told me that he is huge, idea confirmed by viewing DVD and clips on TH-cam,so how could a giant, skilled fighter like him convince me that wing chun is the ideal system for a small person against a bigger opponent?

I'm not saying that you are wrong, I'm just saying that Emin makes his WC work for him. More importantly, Sifu told us not to worry about other practitioners and start quarrels online! You should be practicing instead of watching others.

I would like to agree! Still - if for Emin it was only about winning, than he could do many other things. To me his work is really about Wing Tsun. Of course he adapts the movements to his weight, size etc. BUT If you only think about winning than you have to change to MMA! If you are interested in the Art of fighting, in culture, in tradition, intelligent movements... then WIng Chun is the right way (not the way Kernspechts promotes it). That is my point of view. Greetings from Germany

He definetly has great fighter atributes. And that is what works for him. As for wing chun in general, he rather proves the oposite, that attributes like size and strength do matter after all and not just "diverting incoming force" etc.

yeap, what better way to learn than to lose and keep going. learning from your mistakes and fighting/practicing against someone stronger and more skilled than you.

Emin is a fighter. he may not have learned the best wing chun style, but u can't argue about his fighting

On the contrary Kunishige, this is chi sao. It is more accurately known as gor sao. They disengage with each other more often than a normal chi sao. Emin is not necessarily cheating, he sticks long enough until it is time for him to capitalize on his opponent. Yes my friend, chi sao IS a "training exercise." But you have much more to learn and you should not bad mouth another Sifu until you have proven yourself!!! He is not a disgrace. He has 30+ yrs in the game. This is per your big brother.

Well, and I guess that is why his original "master" from Germany, Kernspecht kicked him out. Emin did not follow orders, he explored teh art and realized that it is about wing chun becoming "your own" expression of teh self, Bruce Lee quote. WIng Tsun, at least what I saw from it, took a lot of stuff from JKD, e.g. Jesse Glover's "Lat Sao" which in Europe they call "German Lat Sao" as Kernspecht learned it in Seatlle in the 70s from Glover and Bob Bremer. Fighting has no form, only fighters do.

    @MrCalathea,
yes its very easy for Emin, cause its a programm what his students learn.
Its the same method what the EWTO is teaching !
Just take a look at soshido shadow boxing - everething is free - no
    programm !
In a real street fight, you will never no what will happens !

This is both lat-sao (free hand fighting practise) and chi-sao (arm clinging). In ebmas wt you learn different sections in chi-sao and when you mix them up it becomes a kind of sparring exercise. Maybe it´s different compared to other lineages and interpretations of wing chun but I think it´s narrow minded to think that this or that master represents the Truth or the Real wing chun and that everybody else are wrong...

not starting quarrels. just giving my opinion. were all allowed an opinion. and trust me. i am a faithful practitioner

Yes, everyone is indeed allowed an opinion. But do you believe that bashing a fellow artist is good karma? Promote what you love, but no need to make negative statements about those whom you disagree with regarding their skill. I'm on your side as far as Master Lo's knowledge and teachings, but it is even disrespectful to him to bash another lineage. That is not what Master Lo, nor what our Sifu teaches. As far as you being a faithful practitioner, when was the last time you came to class? lol

@Kunishige3457 Ok here we go again, piss contest about what real wing chun is and who represents it. Guess what, Wing Chun is what YOU can make WORK. Simple as that. Emin can make his stuff work. Maybe not against every pro fighter out there but youu sure as hell will not beat him just because you train a different style of wing chun. It is about YOU and what YOU can do in a fight, not who your "sifu" is or what his politics are. Peace, from a JKDer.

this is not real Wing Chun free chi sao. first off the sifu does not keep stick whatsoever. second, he is not in the stance at all. third he cheats by holding the students wrist with his fook sao. you should not hit like he does. chi sao is a TRAINING EXERCISE. its to learn feeling in your wrists. its not about getting the hit. its about setting it up. disgrace on the Wing Chun community.
Lo Man Kam Wing Chun is real wing chun. Grand Master Lo Man Kam.
