This is way cool because it allows paper crafters to avoid using an expensive metal die and it will do what the Brother Scan n acutely does now, which is SO cool.

I'm fairly new to this and I about to do a minnie mouse bday for my soon to be 2 yr old and this was very helpful. Could you please do a video on the print and cut vinyl pretty please and thanks again your awesome.
You can design them in Silhouette Studio. I use Affinity Designer on the Mac and iPad. You can use Inkscape which is a free vector program. I also have Procreate on the iPad. You can draw them by hand on white paper with colored felt tip pens and photograph them ... that would be old school, but will work.
So cool! Most of the tutorials I see focus on vinyl, so it's great to see one using paper. I think I'm getting the hang of adjusting the blade for different papers, but mine seems to start cutting the designs higher on the paper than it should, even though the red rectangle of the cutting area is positioned well within the grid lines. My test cuts fall on the upper left corner of the mat instead of on the paper, which of course dulls the blade...so frustrating! Do you know why this is happening or what I can do about it.?

If you place your print-out crooked or misaligned on the cutting mat, will the registration marks compensate and ensure that everything is cut correctly?
I have the silhouette portrait which settings are similiar . my biggest problem is I did't know how to load the paper on the mat after i Printed the pictures. I actually had to watch another video from someone else to see how you do it.

It has taken me days to figure out how to design the stickers...finally got that, sent them to my Cameo 4, and now have wasted 2 sticker sheets and it is not recognizing the registration marks. I have ready ALL of the troubleshooting stuff, I may cry!! Aaagggghhhh!!

And what do you do, when he also wants to cut something in your design? Can i "unmark" that? In my design, he wants to cut more then just the outline...
This is a dumb question... but so you put matte sticker paper and print out your stickers and then does the silhouette turn it into a water proof vynil or it just cuts it out.
You said printable vinyl but does it have a sticky side? I guess it would have to but then that would be sticker paper? Everything is really hard and I never give up but I think maybe Idk. This is crazily overwhelming.

My menu for print and cut only has "registration marks on or off" - I don't have the option for style. I think that's causing my cameo to not be able to read the registration marks. I have recently downloaded the latest version of the software and the menu didn't change. Any ideas of how to proceed? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking into getting the Cameo but need clarification before I move away from my Cricut. I'm doing a print and cut project that has multiple images, kind of like your stickers. Question is: How do you accurately scale something like that? When I import an image to the Cricut software i have to manually make a shape in the software and start resizing to that size until it's kind of close....that sucks and takes a lot of work. How do you do it with Cameo?

It has a backing on it. Like sticker paper. You peel off the designs after cutting.
I’m having issues with lighter colored designs. The trace function isn’t working. Any tips?

great tutorial. is the sticker outdoor-proof? e.g. rain, sun , smearing with hand etc is there a way to seal this?

What if the words on the inside of a circle (QR codes ) keeps showing up red to cut. Even after I traced and selected cut edge :(

Yes, you can. You can even change the color of the border and give it it's own cutting instructions. I am still learning a lot myself

Hi, so I'm trying to print a design on heat tranfer paper for a tshirt. Would I mirror the image before doing the trace?
