You're working on the albigensian crusades? I know that the cathars were a much bigger deal at the time but It would really be appreciated if you touched on the Waldenses who were killed at the same time. As a protestant I find them fascinating especially since they survived (albeit much reduced) to the present day. I've heard that some of them traced their movement to Claudius of Turin in the 800s although it's more commonly believed that Peter Waldo began the movement with his bible translation contemporary with the cathars.
Its very bad when your country is absolutely nothing, just a mountain of free meat. In the end, such a toy will break or they will simply lose interest in it.
The problem at least in the us isn’t interest. It’s the fact that Trumps political faction have turned it into a political football against the rest of the government as they seem to be more and more pro Putin
What are you talking about? Only the imbeciles from Murica lost interest. Here in Europe we are talking about possible NATO troops in Ukraine, which we weren't talking a year ago... If anything European interest is increasing! Don't forget the Czech Republic's initiative for the 800K artillery shells, which we didn't have a year ago also. Slowly Europe is waking up, with the exception of Germany ofcourse... They will wake up soon, though.
Well it's not about losing interest It's about losing business War is a very good business The longer it lasts more profit u get So all this country trying to help Ukraine for freedom and independence and democracy . and u people really think that's the case. U are clearly brainwashed.
Because the separatist had observed the area and informed the Russians about their secret escape roots like the big tunnel. Which a spetnaz group used to sneak in. @@shayaldwarka7907dpr forces discovered the pipe shortly before using it themselves. Spetnaz weren’t involved in the pipe attack that was all dpr. I think the Ukrainians were more demoralised by the fact they were getting 20-30 fabs dropped on them daily than the counteroffensive. The large majority of Ukrainians that surrendered were immobilised (apparently quite a few were executed), those who could ran away even before the retreat order was given and many of those soldiers died from drones and artillery deployed mines
Considering that Russia was not integrated into NATO war machine... Of course Russian military complex has to produce everything itself, from shovels to guided missiles.
@@yamatohime2035 No shit. She has allies but at the end of the day she still has resources to produce the weapons her self. I have no idea why Nato thinks sanctioning countries still works. Especially Russia they clearly don't care.
It's more about optics for NATO members to remind them of it's authority to internal stakeholders, so it knows most of what it's doing is only for show but needs to keep doing so as to not lose it's ability to bring together the united power of it's members. Another key reason is the simple fact the NATO does not want to be the ones blamed for WW3, if it was not clear for one nation to block trade of another nation against it's will is very much an act of war. So for NATO to block for instance North Korea from supplying weapons or from China from it's own support would be deemed an act of war and this would be used as grounds by the dictators of the three nation as grounds for a global conflict. SO I know it can be frustrating when the solution to blocking Russia's trade seems simple, but the reality is far from simple and it will take much more hardship and a more clear global threat before any group like NATO is willing to act directly against this current Axis of aggression. @@mrbeep8096

@@ninja.saywhatRed Alert 3 is probably why us millennials used to think Russia was formidable. Tesla Coils + Mammoth Tanks FTW! Now, after the failed invasion of Kiev, we’ve seen them in action, and Putin has inadvertently revealed his army to be a paper tiger to NATO. But also that he doesn’t care how many Russians die to get what he wants.
Arguably, Putin is in the best position he's been in in a long time. He crushed the Wagner Uprising, and subsequently eliminated both Yevgeny Prigozhin and Wagner's influence. And now with his most outspoken critic Alexei Navalny dead, the last major symbol of opposition has pretty much crumbled. And with Russia cut off from much of the global economy due to the sanctions, Putin was able to capitalize on that and expand the state's influence over the economy. I said before that Putin's real war of attrition wasn't with Ukraine, but the West. He was banking on the alliance breaking apart through his opponents losing political power, and it seems to be working. Arguably, the biggest winner in the Israel/Hamas Conflict is Russia. And with the USA's political infighting, it doesn't even matter to Putin if Trump loses the election, as long as the results keep Congress in gridlock. And while Ukraine's ammo stockpile continues to dwindle, Russia is able to both keep pumping out ammo in the factories, as well as getting new shipments from other powers like North Korea. At this rate, all Putin has to do is just keep up the slow march of attrition, and he likely will be able to claim victory.
Could you go into more detail? I think the commenter's thought that Putin's position is more solid than it has been since the start of the war is accurate. As for the war of attrition, I wish I had a better idea of materiel production from both sides. Absolutely fascinating how modern war (excluding the US' barbaric invasions of Middle Eastern states) has become highly dependent on drones and anti-aircraft capabilities. I wonder what is going to be the next great military technology borne out of this war.
Correct. The West ( especially the U.S ) are only interested in quick easy victories. Once it’s clear that not the case they quickly loose interest. Their populations are tired of war after all the pointless conflicts their “leaders” have dragged them into the last few decades.

Regarding the "decision on the new mobilization is not made yet" This is not very correct statement because mobilization in Ukraine continues on daily basis and never stopped. It is not as efficient as we expected but it is in progress. The new "decision/law" is NOT about the additional mobilization. It is about the increasing efficiency of current daily mobilization via increasing the punishment for draft-dodgers and via promotion of the recruiting and via reducing the minimum age for mobilization. From what I heard Zelenskyi also decided to make an "audit" of the already mobilized stuff since many of them are in the rare and have never been to the front-lines (due to corruption, bribes, influential relatives or other factors such as alcoholism or zero physical form).
Zelensky is afraid to announce an official mobilization because then his ratings will drop. But in fact, there are no men left in the small country villages - they have all been taken away.
@@drunknklr3071According to Ukrainian law the minimal age for forced mobilization is 25. So those who are below 25 are only accepted as volunteers. Moreover, students do not have to fight according to the same law. In Ukraine you are a student from 16 to 23 years in general. That is one of the main reason of the average age mid-40. The other reason is the population pyramid of Ukraine. The number of people aged 40-60 is MUCH bugger than the number of people aged 20-40 (1990s was a very hard time in Ukraine due to hard transition from communism to capitalism - the fertility level seriously declined).

I have a quick question for you guys at Kings and Generals; The list of unit losses for both Ukraine and Russia shows 290 drones and 350 drone losses respectively. But when it comes to a loss of a 'suicide drone' like the shahed types, Are you counting it as a loss if the Shahed has been shot down or destroyed on the ground before launching it? Or are we counting the drones that successfully hit their targets as losses? Technically the drone has been lost, but it did its job successfully. Afterall the Shahed's are designed to be destroyed.

No amount of equipment would have saved Avdiivka. Tactical mismanagement on the Ukranian side caused the collapse. Multiple units have been noted to have been fighting for months (some since the start of the war) without being cycled for freash troops. The point is, the Ukranian lines shattered because the regiments there were just left there by their commanders to be eradicated by the Russians. Also, it's poignant to note that Avdiivka is the battle in which the Russian army finally figured out how combined arms warfare works. Before it seemed that the Russians had no idea how Close Air Support works.

Nah it's very clear that ever since the west lost interest in the war, ukraine stopped having any momentum. Before, ukraine was gaining ground.. Slowly, but they had victories. Now it's the other way around. I suspect the war to end in a complete russian victory as soon as trump is elected.
@@akhsdenlew1861 "Before, ukraine was gaining ground.. Slowly, but they had victories." Not gonna deny that in 2022 Ukraine made serious ground and the Russians were forced to retreat. And if you actually look at the gains in 2023, at the actual land and the tactical significance of it compared to the general state of the war effort on both sides, at least in my opinion the Ukrainian offensive was disastrous for Ukraine. The only goal Ukraine achieved in 2023 was in PR and that was only true in the first part of the year. After that its all downhill. And the downhill part was so predictable because Ukraines offensive at least to me seemed like a guy who really pumped himself up, told all his friends how he was gonna fuck this guy up, made a trailer about how this guy who previously ran away was gonna get his ass handed to him, swallowed his own koolaid then ran straight into a brick fucking wall without a helmet. The night is darkest before the dawn, it could very well be that this turn of events will push NATO towards bigger involvement from fear of Russia gaining further legitimacy from it's allied nations and how this unity among dictators would spell the end to global peace as we know it. Currently a possibly outcome would be for Putin to be assassinated by a local Russian leader as part of a internal political upheaval (of course it would be likely with support of foreign nations looking to end the conflict without a direct engagement). The litmus test for this outcome would boil down to Russian public opinion, the west lives in hope that Russia is wanting to be free of Putin but the reverse could be proven to be true should Putin be taken out of the picture and it be shown the the average Russian is as fanatical as the media portrays them to be (uniting behind an even worse dictator and pushing towards WW3). A key reason the average Russian dislikes the west is around the global energy revolution, Russia is still very much a traditional energy producer and faces economic destruction should it not be able to remain viable in a renewable's led energy future (it's massive troll campaign is very much also directed at attaching renewable's at any given chance). In fact the invasion of Ukraine was very much to buy time (along with other reasons) for it's energy sector to buy time while the world moves away from it's products. Ukraine's electric grid and it's nuclear/renewable growth meant it could undercut the nord pipelines or any attempt at Russian electric offerings to Europe (the massive amount of land between would make Russia's product more expensive then any offering by Ukraine). So it was no surprise when Russia invaded and systematically destroyed the energy infrastructure whenever it had the chance.
Tusk is a prime minister, not a president, that's one thing. The other one is that there is little to none pro-russian activists in Poland. The protests are about the grain import (and also the new EU agricultural regulations, which are protested against in whole Europe, not only Poland), and polish transport companies being pushed out by cheaper, non-regulated ukrainian counterparts. Both of which damage polish economy in a substantial way. There is nothing in this matter that can be called "pro-russian". As a Pole I can assure you, we wouldn't do anything that can be called "pro-russian".
Rafal Mekler, leader of the Confederation Party, is pro Russian and is a leading figure in the protests, despite not being a farmer. @@mango2005 He is only a minor leader (of a minor party) in the voivodeship bordering Ukraine, imo he tries to make his own local politics on that matter. But yeah I agree, and as I said in my first comment, there are some black sheep in every society, nevertheless, in Poland there is far less of the pro-russian ones compared to some other EU countries. And about the russian grain import: the difference is that we did import russian grain before the war, and we still unfortunately do (though there is a plan to stop this). We also did import some of the ukrainian grain, but now as the war is ongoing, Poland became a literall dumpster for ukrainian farmers to sell their produce easily, without transporting it very far. That is the issue: the massive influx in import of low-grade, cheap ukrainian grain, that replaces the polish one.
Not only Poland; the Agricultural sectors of other European countries (including France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Bulgaria and Romania) also feel the unfair competition with the much cheaper grain imports from Ukraine.

Polish farmer can not rival with Ukrainian as they can use like anything making thing way more cheaper but with not known quality. So already costs of production are higher than sell price as the cheap food is still coming with mostly no regulations
This is a complete delusion, in all countries in which grain is imported there are mandatory checks that the grain must pass. If they did not pass any inspection, then it would not be imported. The reason for the cheapness of grain is that the prices on the international grain exchange are lower than usual, and Russia is to blame for this, which stole Ukrainian grain and sells it at reduced prices.
In this case I would suspect it's a bit more convoluted then a case of farmers being undercut by foreign growers (yes this may the the end conclusion but to get here there is an elephant in the room needing to be discussed). That elephant in the room just happens to be international big business, with it's combined power to influence regulation (leveraging things like quality of crop to it's advantage) the end result is the farmers who are forced to work under these rules lose the ability to self produce things like seeds or the ability to self manage fertilisation and pest control over their fields. As time marches on the companies extend their influence over farmland via intellectual property and in many ways can be seen as joint owners in every farm that uses their products despite being paid by the farmers for the product and the business not actually buying the farmland itself (if it does it is with the money paid to it by the farmers in the first place). There is much debate about how this process of corporate control will take shape in the next stages of it's push to control global food production. One outlook could see mega farms appear and the average farmer pushed out of business (forced to sit on fertile soil and unable to produce commercial offerings due to the seeds and everything else needed being owned by the big companies and the regulations making any attempt at growing food illegal). The other option would see farmers taking on debt to the companies they get their products from and this debt being leveraged as growing ownership over their farmland until they are run out of business, from here automation would pick up and the farmlands would be run into the ground with only a few major centralised farmlands remaining in each nation (again the big finish would be the mega farms but in this case there would be a few more steps involved). The European Union like much of the rest of the world needs to contend with the growing power of a few to control the means of food production on a global setting before the world itself if brought to it's knees in a way not yet seen before (Russia would likely be laughing the entire way as it needs global anarchy for it to continue it's goal of toppling the world order in its favour)
The sheer scope of logistics needed for all kinds of equipment from all over the western world... that must be some Extreme Starcraft Micromanagement :D

After the above warning and coming to the point: The minimum personnel losses of the RUS can be estimated from October 2023 in the battle for Avdiivka at: 15-18 thousand dead 38-45 thousand injured total loss of people: 53 - 63 thousand I emphasize that these are estimated and minimum values. Realistically, they may be higher, but in my opinion, writing about 50,000 deaths and 100,000 deaths. this is wishful thinking with no support from anything other than AU propaganda. Ukrainian losses are estimated by pro-Russian sources at 5,000-7,000 dead, but in my opinion they are greatly overestimated. This reflects what russia can and can not make in large numbers. As a result, russian logistics will likely be more vulnerable. More shell and tanks don't mean much if they don't reach the front line. Time is not on Russia's side. But I assume a Russia bot like yourseld would already now all this.
@@albertohusay3002 the EU has been looking for alternative source of energy, and Ukraine has been attacking Russian oil refineries more and more often. So that's nice). In short, Russia is making less money off oil and gas then they did pre-war. And their pre-war funds (like sovereign wealth funds) have been depleted to pay for the war. The problem with the UKRAINE aid bill is that it also includes Israeli and border security funding and other measures not involving Ukraine. I don’t think all republicans are against aid to Ukraine, just how the bill is written.
They haven't. Avdiivka was the case where having too many troops was detrimental - artillery and air superiority belonged to the enemy, so the Ukrainians fought in a dispersed formation.
Don't you know? The only reliable sources are western media and the government. Don't question or research this stuff. If you do, you're a "Russian agent". 😅
Consider this - the Kremlin has made it illegal to question anything they say about the war in Russia. Not even a pro-Putin blogger could save himself when he committed "suicide" after revealing the true scope of Russian losses in Avdiivka.
This isn't about money. That money is allocated for production INSIDE the US, this isn't about sending cash to Ukraine. They need the US' production capacity since it will take the EU time to ramp up its own capacity. You cannot just say "let's produce more". Companies need time to create new factory expansions, change production lines, introduce shift work, hire people... that cannot be done overnight. The US has the capacity right now and would be needed to bridge the time until the EU can produce. And even then it's needed to add to the European production to really massively outproduce Russia. This isn't about money, it's about leaving Ukraine without shells when all that ammo is already there or ready to be produced. They just need the ok to send it. Stop talking about this as if it's sending Ukraine a check. That's what keeps people from being supportive in the first place, everybody thinking Ukraine gets free money.
At this moment the EU has surpassed the US in their support for Ukraine for a while now. Both in supplies as in money. So stop acting as if your paying it all. Also the only thing this is showing is that America has a big mouth when saying yes, yes we will help our friends and allies when being attacked. Oh but not right now because we are having elections. Good luck with your war. I am sure that has shown alot too America's allies aswell like taiwan and such in the Middle-East, Asia or in Africa.

This ignores a multitude of factors
Could you go into more detail? I think the commenter's thought that Putin's position is more solid than it has been since the start of the war is accurate.
As for the war of attrition, I wish I had a better idea of materiel production from both sides. Absolutely fascinating how modern war (excluding the US' barbaric invasions of Middle Eastern states) has become highly dependent on drones and anti-aircraft capabilities. I wonder what is going to be the next great military technology borne out of this war.

Regarding the "decision on the new mobilization is not made yet"
This is not very correct statement because mobilization in Ukraine continues on daily basis and never stopped.
From what I heard Zelenskyi also decided to make an "audit" of the already mobilized stuff since many of them are in the rare and have never been to the front-lines (due to corruption, bribes, influential relatives or other factors such as alcoholism or zero physical form).
a defender is mobilized by the offender ORC!...
expect the cats and dogs to turn against your kind...!
Zelensky is afraid to announce an official mobilization because then his ratings will drop. But in fact, there are no men left in the small country villages - they have all been taken away.

Moreover, students do not have to fight according to the same law. In Ukraine you are a student from 16 to 23 years in general. That is one of the main reason of the average age mid-40. The other reason is the population pyramid of Ukraine. Multiple units have been noted to have been fighting for months (some since the start of the war) without being cycled for freash troops. Everybody knows Russia is a shithole, dictatorship, heavy censorship. Proof? Russians flee to the “west” nobody goes to Russia.
The grimmest the forecast has looked for Ukraine since day three of the war.
Also, why arent the protesters objecting to Russian grain? 12 million tonnes of Russian grain are imported each year into the EU compared to 4.3 million tonnes of Ukrainian grain.
That is the issue: the massive influx in import of low-grade, cheap ukrainian grain, that replaces the polish one.
thank blackrock
Not only Poland; the Agricultural sectors of other European countries (including France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Bulgaria and Romania) also feel the unfair competition with the much cheaper grain imports from Ukraine.

In the begging of the war Ukraine had the manpower advantage.

Because people like to compare all of Russia vs all of Ukraine. When in reality, it's around equal. If Russia went full YOLO then yes. But people are really bad at analyzing stuff. No one on youtube is an expert. And the "experts" are incredibly biased. Russia needs these pitched battles because they can't push against the whole line. They have to concentrate around a single battle.
@@nicholasgutierrez9940 well of course, but that is a local superiority. If both sides are equal it means that if 1 side concentrates force in one area, the other side can do the same or concentrate it's forces and push in another.

@@nicholasognev8716It's imported without the inspection though, hence the protests.
@@skun406 it is checked in all EU member states. What evidence do you have? Where does this information come from?

15-18 thousand dead
38-45 thousand injured
total loss of people: 53 - 63 thousand

Meanwhile, behind the scenes political machinations are taking place. Just as Putin stated, "The West will lose interested in the war." It would seem his omen is beginning to sound true. Its only a matter of time before one nation is standing.
This simplifies everything. There are many factors at play.
As Ukrainian I can tell that problem with mobilisition is a real thing. Every country will be having such issues if people understand that partners decided to limit support and without this support you can't survive. Going to the front will mean death as there are will be no ammunition and air support. You will live in the trench and wait for the shell, termobaric or air bomb to fall on you. This doesn't help with morale. When Ukrainians will see that they have ammunition, drones and airsupport required to fight and win the situation with morale will change again. History is watching USA. They are the ones that will decide how this war will go.

All his videos are propaganda laden. Condescending wording against Russia.
So when talking about WW2, you talk about hitler in a light manner?

If you're asking about specific points in the video I'm thankful for, these are:
- the author's position throughout the war - the war is unprovoked, and Russia is the aggressor
- maps on which it is indicated that Crimea and other occupied territories are Ukraine, but occupied
- the author notes that Ukraine is a democratic country, despite Russian propaganda
- other mentions by the author about a lot of Russian propaganda, which is still propaganda, not truth

Manufacturing of 60-70 T-90M a month is a lot especially since the Russian Federation is under extreme sanctions. It is way more than what many Nato countries can produce in domestic production.
That is most likely a Ukrainian exaggeration. We are not seeing even 200 new T-90Ms annually.

How do you guys determine where to place the rectangles on the front or what unit they represent?
As far as I know, there aren't many ways to determine this at the present (other than sparse reports) although deepstate appears to show a good portion of the Russian formations. The front line is PACKED
The problem with the UKRAINE aid bill is that it also includes Israeli and border security funding and other measures not involving Ukraine. I don’t think all republicans are against aid to Ukraine, just how the bill is written.
The party, which at this point is openly pro-authoritarian and anti-democracy, are against any form of aid, but they won't prevail.
Depends on the Republicans. There's a split in the party that the leadership is trying not to exacerbate in advance of an election.
Ukraine had a million people mobilised. It doesn't make sense that they've run out of troops.
They haven't. Avdiivka was the case where having too many troops was detrimental - artillery and air superiority belonged to the enemy, so the Ukrainians fought in a dispersed formation.

Michael Kaufman for one. RUSI.
"THE US ISNT THE WORLD'S POLICE!"
also
"WHERES THE US!?"
We support helping Ukraine but we aren't the only bank account in the world.
Same problem here hot shots. We've been ramping up production cause our stocks were running low. We cant give away more than we would need for our own fights. You missed the part about "we support Ukraine". We've given the most support to Ukraine by far. I will happily say that I wish we had started arming and training Ukrainians before the war and that we would donate alot of our surplus fighters. My point is stop acting like this war is our fault.

How many billions of dollars and they don't even have ammunition. Where the heck did all that money go?
Ammo is expended, not hoarded.
The problem is with framing. There were never billions of dollars, it was equipment. And among the equipment pledged and delivered, the artillery ammunition is lacking.
What is your point? Artillery ammunition has to be ordered and the west is lacking capacity at the moment.
The most money was in other aid like TANKS or armored vehicles etc
Most of the money went to American companies that made stuff to send to Ukraine. As for what happened to the ammunition, it was shot in the direction of the invading/occupying forces.

That grain crisis in Poland is orchestrated by Russia. Because Poland is not actually loosing anything, most of the grain goes in transit trough Poland to other countries... For example Latvia was exporting grain from Russia, but it could be easily replaced by Ukrainian grain.
