I currently am not religious, but I love when Wendigoon talks about Christianity. He's so passionate and knowledgeable in it, and delivers that without being preachy, instead it feels like he's just talking to a friend about something he loves. I'm glad we have people and Christians like him exist.
Even as a Christian myself, I agree that I appreciate he isn't super preachy. It helps information get out there to more folk and what have you. Being overly preachy isn't exactly a good thing, imo lol
What I know about Christianity, I learned from Wendigoon. Not even joking. I was always open to learning, but . . .the Bible is a big book to just read, and I knew I would lack a lot of context only reading the book(s). Thankfully Wendigoon makes movies. Also obligatory a lot of bad Christians put me off. Thank you Wendigoon.
@@VAL-TotallyNotHAL Yeah, he seems like he makes the content more digestible, which I appreciate. I'm of the opinion that bad Christians are far worse than atheists (not that I've had issues with atheists at all).
@@VAL-TotallyNotHAL totally the way he talks about it with such a passion and respect if i was taught about the bible in this way as a child i would be a Christian now
too bad he ran away to heaven after saying that cool line lol. and we haven't heard a single peep out of him ever since. He said a cool line and didn't follow through at all
I was once your son to my mother. Her behavior towards me in those times held me back from a lot of sinful things and when my time came, I was moved by the spirit and was born again. Looking back, I don’t regret being a unbeliever because I can know understand Grace so much more. Be a good example to your son and I hope he will choose God over his flesh when He meets him.
I love the wide range of emotions I have when finishing a Wendigoon video. Sometimes I’m mad at the government. Sometimes I’m terrified of the unknown. Other times times I feel the light of God.
Isaiah, You have no idea how much it means to this severely lapsed Christian to hear a frank, honest account of the love of Christ from someone my own age. No dogma. No dog-whistles. No agenda. Just a discussion of a book. God is working in you, man. You’re making a gay, semi-agnostic ex-Catholic want to seriously look at faith again. Thank you.
I will pray for you! And if I may, I encourage you to go through his playlists in his channel. He has more bible breakdowns that are super interesting because of the way he explains things. I will pray that the Holy Spirit may reignite that hunger and thirst for an intimate relationship with Jesus. You can do this! And remember that any problem, physically and mentally, any concern, doubt, and any tribulation, can be overcome through God's help. Just pray that he may help you mature in him. Acknowledge your sins to him, keep in mind, nobody has to hear you confess, because Jesus is with you and he hears you, you only have to confess to him in private and you have to believe that his sacrifice on the cross is more than enough to wash it all away, recognize Jesus as your only Lord and Savior and you will re-establish a relationship with him. I am also working on getting closer to him, and sometimes it's hard because I start to think that my efforts won't change my sinful living, but then the Holy Spirit reminds me that it's not through my strength, but through Jesus' strength that I can beat my sins, resist and flee from my temptations and that one day I will be ready to share the good news with those around me. God bless you! ❤
The universe is incapable of love. Jesus is the supreme example of love. Because Jesus is alive, the Holy Spirit can change you for your intended purpose. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works for which He has already prepared for us to walk in.”
@shadabonea Be honest man. Something that is not sentient does not love. In no way does it love anything. Things just happen all according to science, no love involved, if that's what you truly believe in, and that's okay. A sentient creator is capable of love.
Fun fact: the "70 times 7" number in the new testament isnt referring to an actual number, its just a nonsensically high number, like how we would say "a Bajillion"
AND that phrase gets used only one other time in the Bible. King Lamech says it in Genesis 4:24 when he's talking about revenge. Jesus is quite literally reversing the poem from Genesis 4. I love the Bible lol
You have literally no idea how amazing it is to have a content creator like Wendigoon making content so perfectly fine tuned to my interests. It’s not often you find a conspiracy and cryptid enthusiast who likes playing horror games and analyzing literature. But having him be a Jesus loving, gospel spreading Christian? That’s almost unheard of in this day and age. I hope that your content reaches far and wide throughout the internet, giving men, women and children a repeated opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel, all the while having fun with a nerdy TH-camr to show them the truth of God’s love.
I’m not gonna lie I’m a Christian teenager and wendigoon is kinda one of my role models rn with all his Biblical knowledge. It’s something that’s very admirable but also achievable too. I wish I could listen to him talk about the Bible more often but yeah
I would absolutely love a windigoon Bible study series. You do an outstanding job of making the contents of various stories digestible. Thank you for all that you do.
go check out the weird bible podcast, it's wendi and the guys over at the lore lodge, i'm not religious but I love learning about it and they make everything very digestible and fun to listen to EVEN for a non believer like myself :)
He did a few Sunday specials a few years back and he said he’d like to continue them, there’s also the weird Bible podcast he’s a co host of, not to mention the handful of biblical videos he’s already made
@@sleebeetimei absolutely LOVE the way wendigoon n lore lodge make religious topics into ones that are educational and open-minded to those who aren't religious too. i have endless respect for their content as someone who has had religious trauma and is now atheistic bc of it myself - they make it an open space for discussion without pushing it onto other's, while still staying passionate about their beliefs. it's amazing to see them setting good and respectful examples for young christians. im happy that there's creators like them out there to share their interests/beliefs in the ways they do whilst discussing the history of conspiracies and cryptids, since they're not typically accepted in many religious circles.
I was thinking Hebrews but Philemon is probably more underrated. I had never even heard it preached on until a guest preacher taught on it at my church recently
I would still say Ecclesiastes, but you can't make a particularly positive video about it. Informative, interesting, and poetic, but extremely negative and depressing in contrast to basically every other part of the bible. And ironically that exactly why it's underrated: it's extremely poignant and "real" but nobody wants to talk about it because it's outright misanthropic.
@@hookoffthejab1 Do protestants not go through the whole bible each year? I thought that was something y'all were pretty aggressive about. In the Catholic church we have a Missal which is sections from each book of the bible over the course of a year, with homilies being written by each priest. You're also obviously encouraged to read the bible outside of church though.
@@warbossgegguz679 depends on the church. My church goes through the bible systematically, so right now we're going through soteriology, but some churches will preach through the entire Bible. We'll also go through 2-10 verses at a time so there's no way we'd make it through the entire Bible in a year. We've been in Romans alone for like 6 months lol. In my personal Bible study I'll make it through the bible in about a year tho
Fun fact about Philemon and Onesimus. 50 years after Philemon was written, Ignatius of Antioch wrote a letter to the church in Ephesus, and mentions that the Bishop of Ephesus was actually Onesimus. It seems that the former servant, after receiving that Christ-like grace and love from both Paul and Philemon, proceeded to lead and teach a congregation to follow suit in Christ's grace and love. I can't help but think that the reason Philemon is in the Bible is because Onesimus kept it by his side all those years, reminiscing about how the grace and forgiveness embodied by that letter is what brought him to where he was now. Thank you for doing a video on this book. I must admit I pay it less mind than it deserves. Edit: Thank you Wendigoon, very cool Edit edit: Turns out editing comments removes likes from the video creator :(
@@IxJK_ Oh I don't read the Bible recreationally, I read it competitively. And yeah, believe it or not, despite outward appearances my channel is actually dedicated to theology and the Bible.
Another fun fact, there were cases of slaves/servants being ministers at the same Church, where their master would be just a regular Church members. Which is why even as early as 2nd century we can see Christian commentators speaking up against slavery as an institution. If you have to treat your slaves as brothers, than slavery stops making sense altogether. And Paul's letters, especially to Philemon, certainly helped that. Paul's idea wasn't being political reformist, changing society from top to down, he wanted people at the bottom change, so the whole society would see the absurdity of slavery. How can you put a price on someone, who God died for? How can you measure image and the likeness of God with money?
I’m just arriving at my therapy appointment and I listened to this on the drive over. As someone struggling to forgive their abusers (which is hindering my own healing), I needed to hear this. Thank you. I will try my very best to get to a point where I can have the grace to forgive those who hurt me, and myself for letting them live in my heart and mind and make me a bitter, lonely person. For today, I have hope.
i also think it’s about forgiving the human not the personality, imagine them as they were before the world got to them, it’s so strange yet humbling to think about “bad” people being kids and being more “pure in heart” i can’t see forgiving the actions but forgiving the human being or soul is something else and i’ve struggled to define it as a difference

@@void_ling There's a lot actually, too much to write them all but I'll try to condense my reasoning. First I had the logical phase, I looked at the universe and things around us that weren't made by man, and all I saw were patterns, patterns that seemed to be never ending and as if made by a logical being like me or you. Another reason was probably the existence of Morality and our existence as of whole is almost impossible of a chance, unless we were made by a logical being in his image. Then was the deep dive into Jesus Christ in the bible and understanding that his actions and death for us was a widely documented action and well the people who wrote it died as Martyrs defending his name and actions. Finally I took a look at the bible and found no flawed logic that other religious texts had. Then came the believing, this is the most hardest part to explain without going into very long tirades but the things I lived through and experienced cannot be explained with anything but God being real alongside Jesus Christ. And I guess to wrap it up just the pure fundamental logic of if Jesus is real then I'd rather believe and be in Heaven than not believe and be in hell and if he isn't real then I spent my life living as a moral and a good human being, either way it's a win win for me. As for you no longer wanting to be a Christian, I'm sorry to hear that. I'll pray that you'll find Jesus and God again someday because they love you, and so do we all because no matter what. You're made in God's image and if God loves you any good Christian will love you the same way.
Hey Isaiah (I feel it's better to say this addressing you with your name) I want to thank you for every heart wrenching and emotionally moving videos you have made. I'm not religious, never have been. And I was raised in a house that viewed most religious people as deranged sycophants. But I've grown in my years and found that most people in organized religions are lovely, especially ones like Isaiah who are passionate and can articulate why this facet of their lives means so much to them AND aren't even trying to sell me on it.
I literally cheered when you said "a book one friend wrote to anothe on behalf of a servant." I LOVE Philemon! My men's group went over it in detail a few years back and it was a blessing. Unfortunately I only got into the intro just now and I gotta get back to homework but I cannot wait to listen to the rest!
My men's group is also planning on going over Philemon next week but we are really focused right now on being mad at women for not letting us game all day.
Onesimus, as a servant, was also very likely illiterate and not privy to the content of Paul's letters until Philemon read them, marched Onesimus out on Sunday, and read it aloud for the whole church to hear. It's not hard to imagine him trembling for weeping as he realized what was happening.
It's possible. Literacy certainly wasn't universal at the time, but it was valued, and there were definitely slaves (as well as servants, which is a bit of a difference) who could read and write.
@@Rynewulf imagine not being able to read and you deliver a letter to a guy who likely bears a grudge against you, then that person reads it out loud to an entire audience with you being asked to attend. I'd be shitting bricks dog.

I can’t get enough of videos like this. As a born and raised Christian who’s fallen out of the faith due to too much when I was too little, it’s so refreshing to just hear the really great stories the Bible has to offer and now that I’m an adult, the Christian faith intrigues me again. Not for the faith itself but for the teachings and stories within it, there’s so much to take away from them. Thank you Isaiah.

I wouldn’t go as far to say he isn’t pushing it because he is he even said on his second channel that his religion is the most important and he try’s to push it whenever possible he said that’s why he stoped doing Bible videos because it wasn’t a good way to get people to convert to his religion but yeah he doesn’t shove it down your throat like most others do
He’s not pushing it he’s witnessing properly through his thoughts words and deeds…not judging and holding you to some standard like so many churches try
He's not pushing. He's sharing. And he does so in such a good way that we are here listening, willingly. I'm not a believer myself, but I'm always here because I really enjoy learning it because of the way he share the tales.

The way you speak candidly about the Bible and the teachings without preaching or forcing your beliefs on the viewer is such a huge relief. It makes it so much easier to learn without losing interest. Please keep making this type of content!
If you are worried about how the material is presented but want to learn more get a good study Bible, concordance, maybe a parallel bible and just read yourself. Nothing in the Bible is secret but everything in it is inspired. Only good stuff can come from reading it. Little known fact, Saul wasn't renamed Paul due to his conversion. This is a massive and super common misconception. In fact, he only was first called Paul 4 chapters after his conversion (Chapter 13). It is more likely that it was because the name Saul in Greek, Saulos, was also slang term relating to prostitution, and he changed it when going to Hellenistic cities (Those that spoke Greek and had Greek culture) to avoid embarrassment. If you look at the text, the only text regarding the name change is just a random side note that says "Saul, who was also called Paul".
Plus, (little detail) Luke writes "Barnabas and Saul" in Jewish areas and switches to "Paul and Barnabas " in Gentile scenarios to mark who's the leader, or more prominent in the situation.
I was raised as a christian by my stepgrandma until I was 14. I attended the church EVERY saturday night, and also every monday. Even though the people my grandma knew were kind to me, I always doubted part of what they preached at the time because they tried to passively force those ideas unto me without a good amount of explanation besides reading many parts of the Bible. Now, 10 years later, this is the first time I watched some form of Bible-related content and actually want to listen, read and get to learn about more of it. Thank you Wendigoon, not only for your relaxed and casual explanation, but for your passion in what you are trying to show us. I may be mistaken but I’m pretty sure that’s where a lot of the volunteers for those “build a well in Africa” non profits got their volunteers from.
hi isaiah, I was raised catholic and have struggled with my faith and religion for a long time. i had my doubts in god since i was 5 and i officially stopped believing when i was 12. this was mostly due to generational trauma (and how deeply it was tied to religion). i use to be angry about religion, but now i wish i could believe. i find it so hard to place my faith in something that there is no tangible, solid, 100% proof of existing. and yet i know that is a very big part of faith. i have tried to join christian church groups, but find myself turned off by their agendas and evangelical practices. i know that does not represent every group however. i feel the way you approach religion and the discussion of the bible is without judgement, without a clear bias you’re trying to push. you speak of it out of love-it’s something that is really refreshing to hear, especially for a person who wants to embrace religion despite their own skepticism. i would definitely listen to a podcast of yours that went through the bible and just discussed aspects of christianity thank you, and much love
I just wished to ask, and I don't mean to be pushy or preachy or anything, but if you received some evidence for the existence of God or the truth of Christianity, would you be willing to reconsider Christianity? I ask this because I was in a very similar situation to what you are describing and years ago I was presented with some of the evidence for Christianity and it changed my outlook on life. I ask this out of love because like I said, I understand and sympathize with your skepticism.
I sympathize with you and pray for you brotha. Hope your life improves. If it's any consolation I really believe in god and many if not all Christian beliefs, but yikes do I feel out of place at church and small group. Fellow Christian here, absolutely love these videos :) I think this kind of content is definitely the way to go when it comes to sharing the gospel on your channel, it’s informative and engaging, and even a ton of non Christians here say how much they love it, which is amazing to me to see, especially with how Christians tend to be viewed on most platforms. Keep it up brother, you are well loved, and that with how successful this channel are 100% spiritual gifts from God!
Wendi, your content is a massive inspiration to me. Not just your silly videos about cryptids and horror but also videos like these. I’ve been struggling with severe anxiety and a lack of faith in God for a long time but this video really comforted me and possibly rekindled my faith in Christianity. Hearing someone talk about the Bible with so much love and compassion instead of unnecessary fear mongering and ignorance is such a fresh breath of air to see. I seriously hope you consider doing more videos like this in the future, they’re very comforting and fun to watch.

Do you read the Bible? God uses it to speak to us. I cant press the importance enough. its odd how often he word corresponds with my life. You really have to. If youre not, which you might be. but anyone if youre not reading it please try to everyday. it is his word.

I’ve seen thumbnails of some of your other videos that I don’t have time for, but when I get time to watch them, I fall in love with a topic I never knew about, and I kick myself for not watching it sooner. When I see you post a video on scripture, I fall in love all over again with something I’ve always known. I’ve watched a lot of TH-camrs throughout the years, but you have very quickly become one of my very favorites. God bless you for your content. We will probably never meet each other in this world. The way you speak about God is so passionate and kind... it feels nice to not get so caught up in the conflict of religion and just hear about it from someone who truly loves it.
Wow! I don't want to cry on my keyboard, but this video hit hard. I watch your other videos and they are always fantastic, but these last few on the Bible have been so impactful and contain lesson that I think Christians need to be reminded of now more than ever. I KNEW YOU WOULD TALK ABOUT PHILEMON. I agree it is extremely underrated, to the point you never get to study it in church. In my case, I had to to the work by myself. It's such a great, short letter, yet it teaches so much. So thank you for this video! It'll probably make a lot of people go an read it themselves.
When I first subscribed to this channel a few weeks back, I didn’t expect “Bible Studies with Wendigoon”. But boy am I glad that’s what I’m getting. Keep up the good work, man.
Most of it is shittalking everything for being vanity, but it ends pretty beautifully with chapter 11, pointing out that while it's easy to succumb to the depressing thoughts in the rest of the book, there's still beauty. 11:9-10 - "Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou that for all these things God will bring thee into judgement. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh; for childhood and youth are vanity", using the same language that people disregard as "too depressing" from earlier in the book to emphasise a whole different point continued in the 12th and final chapter. It's a fantastic book that definitely also deserves better than just being "the cold one".
I'm actually so grateful to have you on the internet. I'm a Christian but I often forget to read the bible and connect with the gospel. It gets lost in the abyss of social media. But when I saw this video I opened my Bible for the first time in weeks. So thank you so much. Keep doing what you're doing.❤
Dude, I just found this video this morning. Wendigoon, I'm going to watch all of these that you have. I have never, in 61 years of life, heard the Gospel put in such a way that I can really understand it. I love this, and please continue these, so people such as I might further understand the Bible and Jesus.
My priest just recently talked about the Book of Philemon and ended up being our topic of discussion on Wednesday night at the beginning of Great Lent. It is a great example of love and compassion for others that we should follow. Peace be with you all!☦️
Is worth to note that from all the books from Paul, this one is the only one where he speaks primarily about a private issue, that is the conflict between two people he cared about. The fact that he wrote the letter by his own hand which was something that he rarely do, just shows how much personal this letter was for him.
For one reason or another, this felt like a classic Wendigoon video, which was surprisingly fun and relaxing for me. I love the stuff he puts out nowadays too, but there's just something about revisiting his humble beginnings that gets to me. Either because of the topic on Christianity, the shorter video length, or the fact I was equally surprised by there being no sponsor and we got straight into the video right away. But again, whatever the reason, I liked the vibe. This was nice. Also, as a fellow Christian, this was a necessary reminder for me to step my game up when showing love and kindness to others. Thanks, Wendi. Always appreciate you, dude.
you really got something here, my friend. your genuineness in your beliefs and life has lead you into a beautiful space where you are able to help many while doing what ya love. congratulations, your a great fresh breath of air for many, including myself!
Thanks for making videos about the bible dude, a good friend of mine recently became a Christian because of people on TH-cam talking about the gospel. Im praying this stuff reaches a lot of people
I am not a religious person at all, it's not really part of my culture, but I have to admit I find your videos on the subject matter absolutely fascinating. I would love for you to do something like « an intro to Christianity/the Bible » video for people like me who are very interested, but also have little to no knowledge at all on the subject!
As someone who is interested in theology and Christ-based religions, yet struggles due to my OCD, I've always really appreciated your sensitive handling on the topic. Your approach and rhetoric has always made it feel like a space full of love more than anything else, and I hope to one day get over my illnesses in order to study that love further. Thanks as alwys!!1!
I suffer from bad religious OCD, and it’s pretty hard to have a relationship with God when I spiral into the fear of judgement, but then I remember God’s promise that “there is no condemnation for those in Christ”, and it eases my unsteadiness, God’s love is def the best attack against OCD
@@HeadonFireStudiosGod bless man. You might not be able to see it, but God has compassion for those whose minds struggle with Him. It's a sign of respect and coinscientiousness and perhaps of humility. Good luck with those thoughts. I have some of my own.

If you ever want to get back into active participation in the Church, I encourage you to research what the different denominations have in common and what they disagree on. I recommend the channel Redeemed Zoomer. He’s a Presbyterian but you don't have to be one you get some good info from him about the denominational differences. Edit: I’m making this reply as a reaction to that worthy individual above me who is encouraging you to attend an Orthodox Church. That may be where you are called to be in the end, but I still encourage you to look at the others.
I say delve into the Word on your own. I highly recommend starting with John as one of the Gospels but idk what you should read after that, but Romans is an amazing book. But don’t forget the Old Testament
I grew up as a Christian. In fact, my dad is a pastor. I've read the Bible backward and forwards, I've heard all kinds of analysis and theories about the Bible and its teachings, and while I don't believe in God anymore I still believe there is a lot you can learn from the basics of Christianity. Specifically on topics like love, forgiveness, and acceptance. Lots of people will twist and distort the meaning of Christianity to fit their own agenda, but at the end of the day the core principle is as simple as 'love thy neighbor'. I've been diving into a lot of Wendigoon's back catalog and really enjoying a lot of the religious videos he's put out. It's been very refreshing to find a man of faith who seems to grasp the true meaning of Christianity, as opposed to the onslaught of judgemental and hateful "Christians" on the internet. Keep up the good work Wendi
@@bismuth7730it’s only selfish if you ignore the fact that if you’re making Jesus Lord over you, you must love your neighbor as yourself and follow all Jesus’ other commands as well. @@alexandria1663 they meant it was selfish to follow the teachings just to save yourself (because that’s kind of what the comment implies). Meaning that if there was no threat of going to helI, they probably wouldn’t care about making Jesus their Lord
@@Potato-fc5zx I know what they meant by the comment, which is why I provided the context of what a Christ follower means when they say “make Christ your Lord and be saved”. If someone attempts to do this selfishly, they fail to do it at all, according to what Christianity itself teaches. Given this fact, I don’t think that comment should be taken to imply self-centeredness or a fear of hell, and the fact it’s being interpreted so uncharitably is indicative of the ways Christians are often misunderstood or mischaracterized. What he said is true, no qualification needed, because what he said already encompasses a love for one’s neighbor.

Hey Wendigoon!! I just wanted to comment to say thank you. For years and years I’ve been under a lot of distress with Christianity and my own beliefs- my father is a pastor, and not a very kind man. For a long time I’ve determined that Christianity was a concept that was filled with hate, distrust, and fear that my father instilled in me… until I’ve come across your videos dabbling in Christianity. I was weary at first, but looking into them… I’ve seen a completely new light, and that Christianity is something completely different. I just want to thank you again for being so kind, and passionate about what you do. You truly change lives for the better ❤️
Your Bible videos will always be speacial to me. Two years ago I've started falling out of my faith but still was intrested in Bible stories and that's how I found your channel. The way you talked about it reminded me why I wanna be a Christian and it only strengthen me. Ever since then I love doing research on my own about it. Thank you so much Wendi
This was an amazing video- I love learning about religion in a historical context, but to hear the Bible translated in a way that makes sense more than i’ve ever heard was such a treat. Not only that, but it really hit home for stuff going on in my life right now, and I’ll be thinking about these teachings a lot going forward. Thank you so much for this video.

I loved to see a reawakening of an improved Sunday Studies (intended to be) for easter. Wendigoon went so much deeper into the meaning, and sophisticated implications on the verses of the bible in this one. Not to mention, adding a call to action changed EVERYTHING about the “taste in my mouth” at the end. I’d love to see a video like this again.
Tomorrow I’m going to be covering my churches Wednesday night Bible study, so this video actually inspired me to go over Philemon! I think it’ll be a good study for everyone
I'm not a Christian but recently I've been reading The Bible. It's really interesting. I sort of wish that I did believe in it. I was just thinking about how I want to see more Christian content from Wendigoon. Maybe even a whole channel dedicated to it. Thanks for all your hard work, Isaiah!
I used to be in your position (though I'm a devout Catholic now) and what I did to test the waters of faith was simply pray as if God was real, you know? Like, at the time, I didn't believe in God but I really liked the teachings of Christ, and I found it exceedingly difficult to divorce His teaching from His call to faith, so I just prayed as if there was a God. As long as you go forward with an open mind and open heart, I truly do believe God will call to you in some strange way that nobody can predict. Like another comment I read here says, what do you have to lose?
I grew up Christian, and while I don't consider myself one anymore, I still love hearing about stuff from it because even if you don't believe in it, it's a pretty interesting book regardless.
Same story as some of the other people here in the comment chain - grew up Christian, fell away for a while, then last year decided to pick up the Bible (started with Matthew and the rest of the New Testament, since I was mainly interested in finding out who Jesus really was and all now that I was older), now I've almost read the entire Bible and am back in the faith. Just keep going, the more I read about Jesus, the more I couldn't help but believe in Him. Maybe it's the same for you as well? God bless.
Been having a rough day (which is most days), so this video is very much appreciated. Thank you for all of the encouragement you've unknowingly given me, Isaiah. God bless, and have a wonderful day.
Hey Wendigoon! More Sunday studies and Bible history please! The way you cover Bible stories is very refreshing and I think covering topics such as these from a non-religious or rather not so "preachy" way of sharing what is written in the bible and what valuable lessons it has can be a great way to spread the message in an impactful way without causing people to put up their guard due to any past negative experiences or stereotypical judgments one might have. Unfortunately, Christianity it gets a negative outlook by most due to church scandals and corruption involving religious institutions. But people need to know God isn't a religion to those who believe, its a relationship.

@@hookoffthejab1 is hebrews overlooked?

How can you measure image and the likeness of God with money?

i also think it’s about forgiving the human not the personality, imagine them as they were before the world got to them, it’s so strange yet humbling to think about “bad” people being kids and being more “pure in heart” i can’t see forgiving the actions but forgiving the human being or soul is something else and i’ve struggled to define it as a difference

Proud of you bro. Foster your relationship with God to the best of your abilities
I recently recognized I no longer wanted to be a christian. What is your thought process for converting?
Proper? You became Orthodox?

Onesimus, as a servant, was also very likely illiterate and not privy to the content of Paul's letters until Philemon read them, marched Onesimus out on Sunday, and read it aloud for the whole church to hear. It's not hard to imagine him trembling for weeping as he realized what was happening.
Hmmm maybe, maybe not... it's kinda wonky how all that worked. Servants... might need to do paper work... yeah,....
It's possible. Literacy certainly wasn't universal at the time, but it was valued, and there were definitely slaves (as well as servants, which is a bit of a difference) who could read and write.
Why would he be trembling or weeping?

As a born and raised Christian who’s fallen out of the faith due to too much when I was too little, it’s so refreshing to just hear the really great stories the Bible has to offer and now that I’m an adult, the Christian faith intrigues me again. Not for the faith itself but for the teachings and stories within it, there’s so much to take away from them.
Thank you Isaiah.

If you look at the text, the only text regarding the name change is just a random side note that says "Saul, who was also called Paul".
saul goodman
Good to know!
That actually makes logical sense.
This reminds of how East Asian names have different forms of the "same name"
Plus, (little detail) Luke writes "Barnabas and Saul" in Jewish areas and switches to "Paul and Barnabas " in Gentile scenarios to mark who's the leader, or more prominent in the situation.

I was raised as a christian by my stepgrandma until I was 14. I attended the church EVERY saturday night, and also every monday. hi isaiah,
I was raised catholic and have struggled with my faith and religion for a long time. i had my doubts in god since i was 5 and i officially stopped believing when i was 12. this was mostly due to generational trauma (and how deeply it was tied to religion).
i use to be angry about religion, but now i wish i could believe. i find it so hard to place my faith in something that there is no tangible, solid, 100% proof of existing. and yet i know that is a very big part of faith.
i have tried to join christian church groups, but find myself turned off by their agendas and evangelical practices. i know that does not represent every group however. i feel the way you approach religion and the discussion of the bible is without judgement, without a clear bias you’re trying to push.
you speak of it out of love-it’s something that is really refreshing to hear, especially for a person who wants to embrace religion despite their own skepticism. i would definitely listen to a podcast of yours that went through the bible and just discussed aspects of christianity

It's horrible that chrustuanity Is Always show with its worst elements in media while there are so many examples of solidarity and love in our book .__.
He also does it in a manner that's not condescending or trying to be politically edgy, which is what the world needs.
Because when they do and they are like him, tells spooky stories likes “horror” ect they are told they are not truly religious
same here.
In what universe are Christians afraid to speak about their faith online.
Yessir More Bible Vids, am excited for this one.
Also Lost Books of The Bible pt 2??
Wow okay then

Maybe learn the main book first😅

Gotta love Monday School with Pastor Wendigoon

I've had a long history of going back and forth with religion, your the only person who has made me see it in a different light.
Thank you for allowing yourself to be used by the Lord. You have blessed this heart all the way down in Texas. 🤠 Praying for you and your family/team, and Lord willing, to see more content about books of the Bible that aren't talk about as much.
I’d love for you to cover more general bible content such as going over all the individual books, perhaps maybe a second channel, I find your way of describing and explaining so much more engaging. Keep it up brother 🙏
Love the small breaks for positivity between all the madness. Great vid.
I sent this to my grandma and she loved it, shes excited to watch the rest of your bible content
Hey man, I just want to say thank you for your content. I remember watching your Sunday studies last year and missing the church. A few months later(and alot of character development) not only did I found a good church to visit but I became a member and am now baptized.
Congratulations!!!
Congrats 🎉🎉god bless you in your new life ❤❤❤❤
I love hearing these
YES MORE BIBLE CONTENT
Wow
the people in the temple when Jesus was 12 be like
During Ramadan too, what a beast
Always loved when he made Bible content I get why he stopped but still, as a Christian it’s great to see some of the Word reaching more people and Wendigoon doesn’t do it in a pushy way either
W Rizz
Do more of these!! This actually made me tear up, thank you so much for the great message. A very necessary and hard hitting book 💖
Ecclesiastes is my favorite book. Many don’t like how “depressing” it sounds, but the book just comes off so relatable.
@@plebisMaximus Yes! Imo, it’s a book for nihilists. A person who finds every thing meaningless only to see a light at the end of the tunnel
I like it though I think my fave might be Ephesians. Ecclesiastes has a lot of wisdom in it even if it’s not the cheeriest book.
Ecclesiastes is my favorite too. I think it’s the stoic’s book of the Bible.
Wait till you get to the end
I'm actually so grateful to have you on the internet. I'm a Christian but I often forget to read the bible and connect with the gospel. It gets lost in the abyss of social media. But when I saw this video I opened my Bible for the first time in weeks. So thank you so much. Keep doing what you're doing.❤
Dude, I just found this video this morning. Wendigoon, I'm going to watch all of these that you have. I have never, in 61 years of life, heard the Gospel put in such a way that I can really understand it. I love this, and please continue these, so people such as I might further understand the Bible and Jesus.
Look into @theweirdbible. Wendigoon and Adin Mattis review different books of the bible. Really good perspectives.
My priest just recently talked about the Book of Philemon and ended up being our topic of discussion on Wednesday night at the beginning of Great Lent.
It is a great example of love and compassion for others that we should follow. Peace be with you all!☦️
Grace and peace to you as well brother
“The impact of love is immeasurable when put to action.” Wow! ‼️
Oh I needed this today. I’m glad you uploaded it late. More Bible content please! 💛💛
Omg fellow bad relationships with religion due to OCD person! 😎🤝
I hate to see it, I have a very good friend with severe OCD that struggles with religious trauma. I just hate to watch him struggle through it. He gets NOTHING from his faith but fear and worry. It's horrible.
Pray for Him to cast off your Perfectionism because it is hurting you.
I'm not a Christian, but listening to Isaiah talk about his religion is very inspiring. I'm glad you're so passionate about it without being condescending about it. Great video as always. Keep up the good work!
consider following Christ my brother! he loves you as much as he loves all creation and he wants you to love it and him back
Just be careful if you do join Christ about which church you go too. Some are far too conservative and some are far too liberal. (In terms of how they apply the Bible, not political standing.)
I'm not planning to convert. I just think hearing about different religions is interesting.
@@Geebees93 its okay, then I hope you enjoy listening and reading the gospel.
@@excaliburknives3572 Don't even have to follow a church at all, it's so far corrupted by "tradition" at this point it's nigh impossible to find one that gets it right. Better to read scripture and find where you personally stand.
I would love love love if you talked about the book of Job. I love the idea of this man’s life suffering for something he doesn’t fully understand until his death. I relate to it a lot.
I LOVE THIS VIDEO SO MUCH I need more! Thanks Wendi!
YES!!! Even as a teenage girl with too many emotions to handle, thinking my life was just ohhhh so hard… 😂 Job was that book I always read whenever I need a swift kick in the arse. It tends to help you realize just how good you’ve really got it. I would LOVE to watch a video on the book of Job!
Letting a man suffer just to make a point was never inspiring to me
i shared my video with my dad who is a pastor, i really appreciate what you do!
As someone who grew up christian but doesn't remember a lot of it, I would love to hear you explain more books of the bible like this
The Spirit is calling you! I would recommend the KJV Audio Bible (Dramatized meaning it plays sword sounds during battles and gives each person in the book a unique voice to help you delineate between them)! God Bless and I second this entirely.
Highly recommend visiting your nearest Orthodox Christian church! You won't regret it :)
Hey, don't stress it bro. If gods calling you then hear it. But never feel pushed into it 👍
I say delve into the Word on your own.
The core principal is to believe in Jesus as Lord and you will be saved.
@@breakingtide Incredibly selfish view. Shows what kind of person you are.
@@bismuth7730it’s only selfish if you ignore the fact that if you’re making Jesus Lord over you, you must love your neighbor as yourself and follow all Jesus’ other commands as well. In other words, to make Jesus Lord is to love your neighbor, there is no separation. If you don’t love your neighbor, you have not made him Lord.
These uploads have my sense of time shattered. I thought it must have been weeks since the Uzumaki video, seeing the 8 days ago sent me into a spiral. Keep up the great work, looking forward to enjoying this one too!
a… what?? D:
I see what u did there
Smooth moves, priest.
They did it! They said the thing!

Thank you so much for this video.
hi isaiah, loved this vid! as a kinda more spiritual leaning buddhist from a non religious background ur christian vids are amazing for me! i have a hard time with christianity and understanding the bible(as one does) but ur vids like the paradise lost and the sunday stories have helped me. i love both ur sunday story vids and the passionate ones u can make ur own like this one. if u ever make a "christian for beginners" or one going over the fundamentals of christianity and the scriptures that would be cool. ur christian vids make me super interested in christianity and ur one of the better sources. W video!!
So beautifully put. I added notes from this to my church notes/journal. Always love when you post wisdom along with the regular content
Love it when Wendigoon takes us all to Sunday school 🌸🙌🏻🌸🙌🏻🌸🙌🏻🌸🙌🏻
Tomorrow I’m going to be covering my churches Wednesday night Bible study, so this video actually inspired me to go over Philemon! I think it’ll be a good study for everyone
I'm not a Christian but recently I've been reading The Bible. It's really interesting. I sort of wish that I did believe in it. I was just thinking about how I want to see more Christian content from Wendigoon. Maybe even a whole channel dedicated to it. Thanks for all your hard work, Isaiah!
Just keep reading. Maybe even try praying on it. What do you have to loose friend? It's your personal relationship. No one has to be pushy to you.
I grew up Christian and lost my faith for a while, and I felt like you do now about it. Eventually my faith came back. Keep reading, and God bless.
God bless, and have a wonderful day.
you should definitely do more of these, i’m so invested
