Thank You! Thank You for your Voice, your Presence and your Courage...to all of our beloved PV Brothers and Sisters ❤ You are so needed in so many capacities at these times.
Thank you for this. I am glad that this very important subject has been threshed out from a Buddhist point of view. This "world view" you have spoken about is so very important. It has come around because as a collective we have lost our way, become materialistic/grasping for money/power, living in the past or an imagined future, and are not operating individually in our innate loving being/nature that we were all born. The world is now at war with spirituality. The powers that are that shouldn't be have taken matters into their own hands and are dividing and conquering. My entire being is fully awake to the altered reality that exists, and I am walking another path staying strong from the core. Stay in the moment, it is the only place it is all happening. 🙏
Thank you so much for the talk and the sequence and the wonderfully compationate and empathetic support you provide with your presence. I will watch this many times it is so enriching!!
Thank you dear sangha, for offering this very needed talk. Thank you, Br. Phap Linh, for your thoughtful distillation of core teachings. I leave this talk with greater courage, more peace of mind, and faith in my ability to make change...your sincerity and warm spirit shine.
He is one of the best Dhamma teacher in PV. I like his clear English and humourous talks. In another 20 years when he matures and cultivates wisdom he will be the next leader like Thay. ❤
I completely agree with you. Br. Phap Linh is a ridiculously brilliant teacher with such a sharp wit! He never fails to make me laugh out loud. And needless to say, he is a devout practitioner. I listen to his dharma talks over and over again, learning something new each time and loving them just as much each time ... just like Thay’s. 😊 We are so blessed to have the legacy created for us before he passed. 🙏 Many great teachers to keep us going. ❤
Please try not to compare teachers. It's not about who is better. Your point is just as valid if you say he's good, there's no need to say he's better than others. All are sharing from the same well of wisdom, how that wisdom reaches you is down to your nature not that of the teacher.
Brother Phap Linh, you are my guiding light through the storm right now, peace be with you my dear friend… your music continues to envelope the world with the sounds of the heavens 🙏🏼
I am so grateful for Brother Spirit, as he speaks so concisely to the reality of our world, with his intense intellect, able to convey the history, the science, the political and personal context and implications…with the spiritual perspective and practice to help guide those of us struggling with how to find balance when conscious of the precipice we are on as a species. I have learned there is such a thing as sacred activism, which is what he embodies, that this spiritual connection and consciously working to affect this shift in our human paradigm can be mutually inclusive, not an either or. As a lifelong activist, and panpsychist, with a keen, almost painful sense of inter being as Thay called it, it helps to know Brother Spirit and other representative of the community are attending climate talks and other vital meetings where global strategies are being decided. Hearing his talks and podcasts discussing these experiences, with his invaluable informed perspective, and bridging this knowledge with spirituality has become an imperative part of my own practice, making it relevant and accessible. It brings me such tremendous relief and helps me consciously “metabolize” the grief and panic and have hope.
Hearing this talk, I was reminded of "the work" Byron Katie teaches about. It consists of asking ourselves these four questions; Is it true? Can you absolutely know that it’s true? How do you react when you believe that thought? Who would you be without the thought?
I just want to say, I am really appreciative of the Historical Dimension these days. It is so easy to get lost in the Ether, and quite frankly it can become violent in there if you aren’t rooted in community and practice. Yeah, you guys know this ❤ Thank you so much.
Thank you Br Spirt, something I have been recently working with, my blind spots and cognitive dissonance, how to turn towards the discomfort and be with it with gentleness. Truely so many gems in this talk. With a deep bow 🙏
“We know they’re lying, they know they’re lying, they know that we know they’re lying, we also know that they know that we know they’re lying, but they STILL LIE.” - Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn
I’m grateful for the time and effort spent to share this. I do think it wise to address near the end how victims of violence and abuse are to hear Br Phap’s message. What I hear is an invitation to be able to tolerate discomfort more and consider we are maybe not the victim, however I’m also left uneasy by this…
I found it very helpful having a partner who went in with me on zero footprint lifestyle 100% and we’ve been doing it for 18 years now. What I gather from this brilliant talk is that we are now in the global mess we are in due to an inability to deal with discomfort. All the pesticides, all the plastic, all the air flights all have to do with avoiding discomfort.
Let's say the oil company executive is like the soldier with the gun looking for the woman who is hiding, the woman we can see. And we violate the precept to tell the truth when the soldier asks us if we know where the woman is in order to save the woman's life. So even as we see ourselves in the soldier, we also must resist the soldier and lie to him. So perhaps we must organize against capitalist elites, corporate executives, militarists even as we see them in ourselves, even as we recognize ourselves in them. Still, we must resist their actions and refuse in different ways to cooperate in the economy of modernity that is destroying the planet. Can we then say that this "right seeing" does not have to prevent us from actively resisting those who are rapidly destroying the planet, even if we recognize that they are not separate from us?

Such a brilliant talk, Br Pháp Linh. Deep gratitude.🙏
Thank you dear Brother for this beautiful dharma talk. May all have peace.
Fabulous talk...😊 thank you! 🙏🏼
Hearing this talk, I was reminded of "the work" Byron Katie teaches about. It consists of asking ourselves these four questions;
Is it true?
Can you absolutely know that it’s true?
How do you react when you believe that thought?
Who would you be without the thought?
Excellent teaching. The last 25 minutes or so, he gave lots of keys points to unlock the uncomfortable emotions. Thank you 🙏
What a powerful teaching. And very, very moving at times. Thank you.

Thank you dear brother. Beautiful deep teaching 🙏🏼
It's nice to hear practical advice with examples instead of just "be aware of your in-breath".
I really liked that talk
