  • Here's part 2 of our consulting mock case interview video focused on answering market sizing case interview questions.
🎥 In this RocketBlocks video, we're doing part II of our mock case interview focused on market entry. We'll look at how well the candidate probes for additional information during a case. We'll provide an example of a weak, OK, and great answer and then our ex-BCG Founder, Kenton Kivestu, will do a compare and contrast of the different answers.

    Three things to remember
    1) Be proactive
    2) Ask targeted questions
    3) Think about the big picture

great content! how and when to use whiteboard to answer open ended questions like market sizing? thanks in advance

That depends on the setup but when I'm doing any sort of market sizing I generally like to use pen and paper (or a whiteboard if present) because it makes it so much easier to clearly step through the problem and if you need to go back and change or tweak something, you don't have to remember every step in your head.

When you ask for data, don't you also have to explain WHERE you'd look for such information? Like which source would you use, which method would you apply to get exactly the kind of data you need?
I ask this question because when reading the online case of Big3 I saw the candidates often explained his method of getting data. Just wondering if this practice is frequently used in real case interview?

That's a good thing to do but isn't always necessary. If you suggest certain information you'd want to have, be prepared to answer how you'd get it if asked.
