    Thanks for making this video.
I've listened to the 1984 audiobook a few times and it's quite terifying in places.
The section where Winston is reading Goldstein's book and jumps to the War is Peace section is mind blowing.

this video really displays Orwells critiques of the soviet union. His Anarchist and socialist positions were at odds with the Stalinistic party line and it inseparable from the book

We own nothing, and tell us that we are happy, we only work so that the wealthy can have their luxury. That book is exactly how we are living. The moment we step out of bounds there's prison. They tell us we are free, but we aren't.

1984 wasn't a warning but a blueprint for what is happening to us today , mixed with A Brave New World to create a mixture of those two plus The Truman Show , Groundhog Day and Monty Python's Flying Circus ...

The longer it take for people to rise up against a corrupt and exploitating government the greater the sacrifice will be
in the end to regain freedom.

But were Eastasia and Eurasia separate powers? Was it really 1984? Winston reasoned it must be around 1984 because he remembered the Revolution taking place in his childhood and he remembered being a child in the 1950's. But we know that memory is not "Memorex" it is mailable and changeable.
It's possible that Winston could have been born in any decade. He may even have been a child in the 2030's.

So what? It's written as a mostly fictional social commentary. Why is the year important?

Funny you mention that. People have lost a significant portion of their brain capacity on average the world over since the formation of large societies people became dependent on for their survival. watch?v=SOgKwAJdeUc

For now. It's a slippery slope. 20 years ago we weren't constantly being watched. Now we are in the infancy of having all conversations listened too by our phones. The gap between the wealthy and the none wealthy is increasing faster and faster each year. And if you believe in conspiracy theories The Clintons are out there just having people "suicide " themselves as they try to grasp power.

I've had plenty taken down online, been shadowbanned/throttled/reach-limited on various social media sites. They have no need of such overtly oppressive measures as lobotomies when full spectrum establishment supporting propaganda ensures the masses will never perceive things as they actually are

This video just regurgitates stuff that's already spelled out in detail in the book, while skipping over anything which might be helpful to analyze. Double plus bad. Why was Winston strung along instead of being arrested at once? Was he really at he Chestnut Café at the end or in a dungeon at the ministry of love?

He reflected his world view and the paranoia of the time. Why didn’t Winston slide down into the proletariat? Orwell was a British writer….in other words he lived in a monarchy, which is blood line superiority. America knows better and lives it daily. His real name was Eric Arthur Blair and he died in 1950.

Literally falling into the trap by blaming the Left or the Right. Its just an enemy to distract you from those who rule over you. If we swap the left wing for Eruasia and The Right wing for Eastasia its literally just the book 1984.
