But I have to say that one of the things I enjoy most about these videos is how calm and even tempered the owner is, and how lovingly he interacts with Oliver. It is calming to listen to him, well done sir. You seem like a wonderful pet dad.

This video made me laugh! This is ONE happy beagle! I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota area, where it snowed A LOT. My beagle used to jump up and catch the snowflakes in her mouth the first few snowfalls of the year. After that, it would get so freezing cold I think she just wanted to go down to Arizona or Floeida like the rest of us!

I miss our beagle. We had to put her to sleep unfortunately. She was so cute. She'd know when school was about to be out, and she'd sit and wait in front of our gate to greet us when we got home. Every day, no matter if it was raining or not. And she hated everything that was wet. Pretty sure we'll never find a dog like her again.

Thank you! Finding a beagle like Oliver wasn't easy... it took about nine months from when we first started looking to when we found him. I would recommend doing lots of research online to see who has beagle puppies available in your area. Sometimes there are waiting lists that you can sign up for.
The morning of the infamous Midwestern blizzard of 1978, I leaned and pushed and shoved against the snow to open the door so our Irish Setter Shannon could make his morning rounds. He normally bounded out the door. That morning, he pranced impatiently, then he stuck his head out the door, saw a blast of wind blown snow shoot by his face, made a 360 degree circle, returned to his bed, laid down and looked up as if to say, "I'm good.. come see me in a couple days 'cause I ain't goin out there!'
He reminds me so much of our Lydia. She loved to play in the snow, too. I used to have to go out and pick her up to bring her back in. Otherwise, she'd just stay out in the snow!!
When my mini-Schnauzer Heidi was alive, one time I had her outside while shoveling snow and she found that so much fun. I'd scoop up a little snow and toss it in the air and she'd jump up in the air and try to eat it. lol... Oliver is too cute
