    I found it surprising how many other teachers, sites, lessons, and apps all seem to teach much stronger phrases for requests, such as "give me" or "I want" in all their introductory lessons. After only a couple days in a Russian speaking city I realized I'd picked up the phrase "можно пожалуйста something something" from overhearing others.

  • @fredsalter1915
    @fredsalter1915 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    "Mozhnah chai"? Doesn't that translate literally to "May I tea?" Sounds odd to my English ears because I don't detect a verb (like "have" or "desire") between the "I" and the "tea". Just wondering as a monolingual person! Thanks and love the RRC channel!!!!

    • @RealRussianClub

      Russian and English are very different! Look at how we introduce ourselves:) In Russian, I'd say "Привет, я Дарья", and in English it would be "Hi, I Daria" :D What sounds like bad grammar in one language, would be completely fine in another. Do not compare the languages, they have their own rules all the time:)

      If it had been good in Russia, Daria would have lived there, and she would have been married to a Russian, not an American. Daria is lying, like all other Russians. She exploits people, pretends to be naive, while her terrorist state kills people in Ukraine. Normal nations have normal states, Russians are not normal. I know people who have been to Russia, they say that Russians are barbaric, violent, drunk, full of prostitutes, salaries are miserable, Russia has not created a single brand of soap, they are centuries behind the West and the normal world. Tell me, what is your experience with Moscow? They told me they were very rude, arrogant, emotionally stupid.
