You added your Sever's IP address to your local PC network card properties. I am not understanding you on this step. Are you saying that anyone outside our network will need to add our IP address to their network card properties??? If we have 50,000 users, they would each need to add our IP address to their network card properties??? Sorry, but this step makes no sense to me. Please explian.
We usually add the global DNS or the DNS from the ISP in our system but in my video it was a lab environment. So, I put my own custom DNS in the client system.
There is no problem at all if you keep the port number 8080 for the 2nd website but you should think why would you engage a port number when you are already isolating 2 websites by there domain names. When your users request for the 2nd website then the decision will be made in the DNS server itself that where to send the request and it certainly hits your 2nd website of the same web server (where the 1st website is hosted too. ) Thanks for your relevant query.
