The songwriting and musical talent here is so strong and tight. No wonder Adrian Belew was a fan. I will always think Rob Fetters is one of the most underrated people in my music collection. He's right up there with the biggest names in guitar playing and songwriting. Just unknown, but GOD the man delivers! 😄

Personally, I thought they were better before Adrien Belew got a hold of them. He overpolished what should have been left with rough edges.

Does anyone know what year this was? I’m guessing 79-81??

    This is fantastic music!
Why am I hearing this 41 years later?
Bloody hell...There is some major talent onstage here!

Have been looking for this since the 1980's. Great that the whole show is on here now at last.

That's the man Rick Neiheisel a.k.a. Ricky Nye on keys! I was fortunate enough to have him as a piano teacher for a short time. Unfortunately, none of his talent rubbed off. ;-)

I did the audio on this show along with Rob Reider. It was Brightsides Audio "I remember you back in those crazy days"

What year was this Raisins show? I vaguely remember these shows being on channel 48 and simulcast on EBN but I was a bit too young to go to the clubs for Raisins, Rockduster etc. Raisins are so good IDK why they weren’t huge nationally. They are as good as anyone.

And a great freaking job you did. I've listened to this recording like a million times and I'm never falied to be amazed at how well it manages to capture the ridiculous energy they had at that time. Kudos.

@@theWilburM I remember it being controlled chaos. The Raisins were freaking amazing live. Glad you liked it. Along with the Modulators, it was one of my favorite shows

I was in Navy boot camp or in Hospital Corps School in 1980. Had to miss that in person, but certain that some of my Sycamore HS folks had fun with it. This is to remember them and the band. Remember the Good Times. Keep them with you always. "doc" in Galveston, ret.

I use to go watch the Raisins back in 73-74 in a club in Pensacola Fla called machinegun Kelly's. They did mostly covers and Rob could imitate anybody on guitar. Anything from Skynard to Steely Dan... Amazing to watch.

The Raisins, Wheels, The Goshorn Brothers all there all around the same time. Great time to live in Cincinnati. and yes I'm forgetting a lot of great bands from that area so throw your favorites in the comments I'd love to hear who you come up with "I like ice with Gin and tonic it can be very nice" Bad Bob wrote that. words to live by.

Saw them at Shipley's (or was it Alexanders, I don't remember) on E. McMillan in Cincinnati, great live band circa 1980. Really talented and funny as hell.
