I've enjoyed The Mentalist so much that I've read ths scripts I could find available. Bruno Heller's writing is incredible! But having a well written screenplay is one thing: the entire team behind it was unbelievable! Bruno Heller's writing (and Simon Baker talking about directing and process of movie-making) has inspired me to write my own screenplay. I'm enjoying the process of writing so much, I feel I owe those guys tons of thanks and hugs.
I watched all seasons in lockdown. Awesome.

Just wanted to say I’m so happy that you said it’s been a long time since you’ve had someone look at you like that. I’m so glad you had that love. That look. Some, we never experience that so May you be blessed with strength to hang in there in the senior part of life and relish in the beautiful memories you have had. I can’t imagine the stories. I take care of my mom she’s 80, after cancer , the stories!! Alll of them. Wow.

It's easy to see why THE MENTALIST isn't like any other show. The star is an Australian and three of the main guys in charge are Brits. That's right, just like Apple needed a British director to make the best ad of all time, HollyWeird needs us to show them how not to be so predictable, boringly formulaic and insulting to its audience.

I honestly thought as soon as I saw the woman at the bar when Jane seemed to give up and binge drinking, I really thought Lorelei was actually Lisbon posing as a random woman, putting some somewhat British accent, just to make sure Jane is doing fine or she really loved him and wanted to make him feel better. Get it however you want, but I felt she wanted him to come back or at least have her mind at peace and make sure RJ didn't kill him or something.
If you look at her at the bar tying her hair, she does really look like Lisbon posing as a random girl with some accent hiding her own identity.
Amanda was pregnant when they shot season 5.

Sheriff McAllister as Red John... feh! You need to have more respect for your audience's intelligence. I wonder how many serious viewers you lost with that silly ploy.

@@mrssunshine1382 season 6..and contrary to popular opinion it was good... I have seen a lot of crime dramas and they managed to set up Bertram as Red John perfectly
@@abhijeetmalhotra1345 I will soon demonstrate how silly it was for McAllister or a random sheriff to be the leader or such powerful organization. RJ possibly, but he can't possibly be the leader, or better the founder of such organization.
But the writers kinda shot themselves in the foot when they tied him to his RJ voice hence they can't change his identity, which may be done with lip syncing or simply keep the voice processed. But if they did so, I dunno how they will make it conclusive who RJ is.
He painted his logo on the blind woman he later left the morgue's officer she went to to check RJ's identity. He oainted his logo in her room. Is he so confident no other person beside him and her would see the logo? Like, do you want to tell me for years no one entered her room? Did he clean her room? Did they need no one else to, I don't know, pay the bills, fix appliances, electric and water stuff? She didn't displace furniture herself, no one else involved? Or is one to suggest its RJ himself, the romantic philanthropist himself that helped her?
Some cartoonish plot events that show unfortunately how unseriously that plot was taken, remember Rebecca, the secretary that shot Bosco and tried to finish the job later? She was poisoned by a gel in the hall. Neither her working for RJ nor the fact she was killed inside the CBI (implying a RJ insider for sure at this point). Yet when it came to the guy who was lit by fire at the era or Larooche (the fat bald man), a whole fuss was made and an entire investigation was opened.
Say Rebecca is already dead, and no point in investigating how, when and why she was working, what more sensitive data about RJ was likely leaked. Forget about her for now. The office was locked down when Bosco was shot. Why not lock down CBI when Rebecca was killed, i.e., at least 1 RJ individual is there? The ridiculous thing is, it happened in front of whoever was holding her. It's not like there are 50 people passing by, only 5, 10 at most. They can bring them, question them who else was there in the hall with them. It's unlikely all interrogatees would be RJ men, otherwise, they could've poisoned her much much earlier (as soon as she was confiscated at the hospital). Merely suggesting RJ wanted her to tell Jane some (I like porcelain frogs and like all music), let alone denigrating RJ with (you look just like him with your fiercely eyes into my soul) or something like that. Is it real plot RJ wanted her to tell him or a plot hole wasn't accounted for?
And I'm almost certain I thought of an anachronistic event about RJ as if he knew Jane before he taunted him, but will update as soon as I can.

Im glad the show is almost over. Hope Simon start making better choices and work with people in his own level. He was great in Margin call and Smith, around all the talented and great actors. Except Simon NOONE else can act in the mentalist. Specially that lisbon girl. She is horrible. She can't even walk comfortable around cameras. I'm a big fan of Simon baker but even I can't watch love story between Lisbon and Jane cause that actress can't act or show any kind of emotion.
i disagree with you here. how much have you watched the show, cause first off your comment "lisbon cant act or show emotion." is actually part of her character struggle, not her acting struggle. i think they were all good acters. simon is amazing, agreed there... but i thnk hey all did well and think this show didnt get the attention it deserved. not like some of these other shows that do, that i just simply dont get sometimes. this show was good even after they lost the main antagonist, Red John. I would have liked to see one more season, with out this season having ended with a wedding, but i was surprised at the ending. i didnt think i was gonna like it, but if they had to get married i think it was done nicely. not all gooshy bull shit they shove down our throats on TV weddings. it seemed real for the characters. i think props to Bruno and Simon along with rest of the cast for many years of entertainment. i never missed one episode from the day it aired. good show man. hard to argue that when there are millions of watchers around the world.
+Vogue Vouge Everything is in the eye of the beholder.....I behold them as really good actors, love the characters and those who did the parts.....and Simon Baker is fantastic....acting and directing....I am buying the series a season at at time and getting the dvds from the library in the meantime...Why do you even watch something you have such little respect for....you do have a remote don't you???
Vogue Vouge I agree with Autumn. Lisbon is a police women growing up with 4 brothers, and that is the way she is, she is tough and for many many people is hard to show emotions and feelings. And that’s make this show so interesting, no stupid love/bed scenes that you can predict in every man/woman relationship, if you miss that kind of stuff watch Arlekin movies. Good day.
