Ewald shares the story of his discovery of Unreal Engine and how it prompted him to enrol in CG Spectrum. Under the mentorship of industry legend William Faucher, he not only honed his skills but also secured a position as a teaching assistant at the online school.
During his time at CG Spectrum, Ewald brought to life "MENACE," an Unreal Engine short film featuring a high-energy chase scene, skilfully crafted with the assistance of Unreal's Take Recorder.
We delve deep into the process of making 'MENACE', highlighting how Ewald's background as a video editor for extreme motor sports played a pivotal role in crafting such a high energy short film.
This episode provides a unique glimpse into the world of learning Unreal Engine, transitioning into a new career, filmmaking, and the art of crafting high-energy scenes.

Yhis guy is a perfect example to inspire me! After 14 years of video editing I don't want to do it. But my 36 years of age seemed to look like I'm too old to learn something new and being a pro. Now I definately going to learn UE to start make cool VFX things!

Yeah It’s perfect for recording such things as vehicle driving , and then adding that take into the sequencer . Curious how others do it ? We are here for learning too :)
