Big facts. This is *exactly* how I've always felt. I can get down with a bit of Eminem's first album. But other than that I have always said, yeah Em is technically a dope rapper. But his music in itself? I don't care how much it sells. His music ain't it. Not to real heads anyways.
And, again like Edo said, I like his features on Chronic 2000. And if course Shade 45 is dope. But his music is just not for me.

Anybody who rates Eminem isn't a true Hip Hop head. I used to go around saying he was the best when I was 12 years old. Through my teens I discovered the roots of Hip Hop & dived into it, following the roots back to where it began. It made me realize that my brain hadn't built a proper foundation of understanding of rap. Verses like Kool G Rap - It's a Shame & Ghostface Killah - Mighty Healthy are the pinnacle of lyricism & those tracks revealed to me the true intricacies of it. I know 100% of people who say "Eminem is the goat" don't even know those tracks. Eminem has great wordplay. But that's it. It's not just about wordplay. I started noticing that Eminem just raps over the beat, instead of flowing with & around it in unison with the respective kicks & hi-hats on the selected beat. His success is a product of the major label music industry which hardly anybody understands the way it works. It's all about programming people who aren't musical. They knew they could sell Eminem to the masses. White rapper, sick wordplay, Dr. Dre, BOOM. Props to him for selling the most, but 99 percent of those sales were to casual Hip Hop fans. Just because canned tuna sells the most doesn't mean it's the best fish on the market. You gotta go get the real shit yourself. Same with Hip Hop. Ya-dig?

Joseph Modglin that's a Edo G album in 2000 and it's true. I'm not an Eminem fan at all. This rapper is a friend of mine but jus on his credentials had #1 billboard hiphop song in nation in 91.
That album is still rare af 💯! I start to understand the whole album as I gotten older. I believe when he was doing this album? He was going through personal shit. But that album made a big impact on hip hop, not the industry but HIP HOP 💯!

Edo. G is a definite Hip Hop legend. He's also not a robot, swinging from Slim Shady's nut sack. Ed is simply and honestly stating, what many true hip hoppers feel in that Slim's production isn't on par with his lyrics most of the time. Secondly, if you're stating Em's beats to be better than Dre's then that's laughable at best, fraudulent at worst.
