When I was a little boy my father and uncle were very good at making furniture. It was a weekend type of thing. I remember playing with this tool when I was about eight or nine years old. I can say that the ability of woodworking skipped right over me. My dad thought at first I was playing around not being able to make simple things. Then he and my uncle both agreed it would be safer for me not to play with the tool in the shop. Seeing you work on this brought back some fond memories.
That came out great and seems to work a treat! You can use them bevel up or down. They just cut differently. Try it both ways and you’ll see what I mean. Bevel up gives a more aggressive cut. Take care 😃👍🏼
That is really nice. I have never used one but have always wanted to try one. I think I have one around here. You have inspired me to look for it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Why did you bevel the rear side? The rear side of a draw knife must be flat. It's supposed to lay flat along the work piece, and the top section of the blade does the cutting.
Nice restoration!!
Thank you 😊

Spoke shave
Spoke shaves are alot smaller
@@FixitRestoreit Last time I saw one was '65. I used it twice.
So, it probably is smaller.
Could have been done better!
Ok expert 😁🙄
