Never let your hand get between the stock and the cocking lever when loading . could be a VERY painful mistake .
I know this video is a few years old but I bought my dream springer a couple of months ago and yes it’s the pro sport in 177 and my god is it accurate, it’s a rifle I’ve wanted for years but I’m a lefty and back in the day air arms didn’t do the pro sport for us lefties but when I found out they had decided to do left hand stocks i immediately started putting money away to purchase one and I bought one new and until you’ve actually shot one you realise just what a beautiful slick action rifle it is. The trigger is amazing and as I’ve always owned Weihrauch’s their rekord trigger is without a doubt the best trigger unit I’d used prior to buying the pro sport but this pro sport trigger in my opinion is definitely better and I’m not knocking Weihrauch’s rekord triggers as they are as we know outstanding but it’s hard to describe the pro sports until one has actually used one but it’s much smoother and feels much better. The whole look and feel, balance is just bang on and with it been a heavier rifle a bit of weight I believe is good and I don’t mind a bit of heft but its balanced nicely and feels cock on when up to the shoulder. You really have to get out and try one if you can and if like me once you’ve tried one out you’ll want one!
I know this is an old vid but I love that he says that it's "affordable". They're close to a grand for the walnut stock these days, close to twice the price of a Weihrauch.
I have a ProSport in. 177 fac. I have been having extream difficulty getting it to perform accurately with terrible groups. Yesterday I got so pissed off with it I phoned Airarms and spoke to a technician who after a few minutes sorted the problem. I have been using RWS pointed pellets which grouped like a shot gun. He advised only using a very heavy domed pellet ( Bisley magnums) . The difference is unbelievable, instantly I was putting pellet on pellet at 25 metres. I never realised just how much the pellet can upset accuracy even at short distances. Thanks AirArms, and we'll done for reviewing a springer. Would be great now to see the .177 in action on live quarries.
Yes, the Magnums are my first choice in any FAC airgun. Other pellets struggle to stabilise so the heavier pellet flies better at speed. I used some double waisted pointed pellets that were lying around and put in a 5 shot group..... 4" grouping!!! lol Glad you got your problem sorted out.
HW97K , AA prosport , TX200 .. all about the same , anyone who says one is better than the other is a cock sucker to that brand ... PS I own a prosport
Hold on to the cocking lever when loading.
agree , I am also paranoid about it letting go.
Got TX200M MK3 Rowan cocking aid and HW77K Both Brilliant
Nice to see a springer getting the credit it deserves ,got a tx and been saying for a while how good they are , thank you ! Now let's see it earn it's keep
Oh yes....Its going on a rat cull soon!
Mine was very pellet fussy I tried 4 different pellets the best and the last I tried was the air arms diablo field 16grns it loves these.
Do find best pellets for my TX are RWS Superdome.
Oh my Christ...where did you put your hand !! Between the stock and cocking arm! Your putting out videos for the public you gotta to get safe handling nailed first.
The Prosport is a quality bit of kit, bought my .177 second hand about 18 months ago. It had had some mods done, some bad some good. The sharp edge to the top of the cocking arm have been removed, nicely radiused so your hand does not get sore after repeated cocking. Had the spring and internals put back to standard as the previous owner had some kind of "tune" done and was not right. They come out of the factory tuned very well as near as a massed produced air rifle can be IMHO. It is a heavy gun but that helps its accuracy as said. Its easy to cock and load once your used to the position of the cocking leaver, safer to to keep your hand on the leaver holding it securely while loading, could save your fingers in the loading port or your hand between the stock and the leaver ! Yes it does have a secondary safety but safety's can fail.ATB Jez
Muito bom o video e linda a arma!!! O sistema de municiamento foi o que maiz me agradou. Att.
I love your videos!! I have a Gamo Hornet and it has fit all my pest needs.
Great little gun!
Airarms is always going to deliver a good quality tool for use of target fun and live quarry (I use a s400) I like this pro sport but psychologically I can't put my fingers in the breach I feel it's asking for trouble and that arm looks like there is no good way to hold it and load the breach (which is how I was thought to safely load this style of gun) this is just my view tho and I'm a tad biased as I use a pneumatic,Great video all the same, keep it up guys
Very nice Video, looks like this is my next air rifle, cause I´m not quite satisfied with the 97KT. thank you!
Good choice, the Pro Sport is a great bit of kit.
my dad has a HW100 and i love it, im looking for my own air rifle now what would any of you suggest
Got the TX200HC amazing bit of kit, the pro sport was a tad heavy I thought, though an awesome rifle.. well same internals anyhow.
It is a bit heavy but balances pretty well. The TX200 shoots great as well..I used to shoot a HC.
Tx200 is heavier than pro sport
But the tx200 weight is better distributed.
muy buena agrupacion
Price?
I wish i had your guy's video editing software...
:)
See you testing at idleback shooting range again goof place
Hi Ryan, It's a great range and well used...I had to go an hour before opening to get the piece done!
i like the chasse but the gun fusil is very load money
I work in pest control & use my pro sport on rabbits & rats. Great air gun !
:)
How much does it cost
much less than your war machine =)
About time for you to put out an airgun video. And come on it's an air arm's of course @ 30yards it's going to be a tight group. What does it do@50+yards? Or at a field target course? Please Please Please your better than this.
WAAAAY to tricky to cock. I like the way it feels, but the TX200 shoots better.
It is a bit, but you get used to it after a while.
no sorry guys there is no better springer than the hw 97 kt
The TX200 may have something to say 'bout that. I have both. I hate the ratchet on the TX, tho.
filoIII there you go, thx for proving my statement
palmer3977 But the TX will shoot better @ 30 yds than the 97
filoIII lol, your funny
No sorry lol you can keep your German rifle I'll stick to my custom and tuned pro sport it out shoots my mates 97 that's a fact I'll put it on my channel soon
This guy can't shoot without flinching every time.
moron
More of a promotion than a review. Too much BS
