I think oneplus was massively underrated in this video & that’s coming from someone with an iphone
Yeah, I am using 1+ 7 Pro for 4 years, still great
Oneplus is an garbage for filming. I have and is the worst filming phone i already have
@@andrewhoang8611my one plus 7 pro is worst for video
Agreed.
He's a U.S based reviewer, they're all in the anti China propaganda machine ring..85% of them are paid overlook and undermine Chinese Made phones. See what he did with Huawei, he knows the pronoun action but he did it undermine and take a swipe at them... it's all part of it
Ive always used an iPhone but the s23 ultra is the best all rounder carry for photography, taking notes, gaming
Although I primarily use dedicated cameras for both photos and video, I am intrigued by the specs of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. It's something I would consider buying for use as a camera, on account of the giant 1" image sensor it uses on the main camera!
My brother thank you very much I love all your videos the way you take your time to explain and breaks everything down there really looks professional am LOUIS all the way from 🇨🇲 🇨🇲 in Africa
Very comprehensive explanations on this topic. Thanks for specific advice of what models to buy and where to buy them. Great video overall! ❤ Answered all my questions.
Glad it was helpful!
Of course on my quest to find a new phone . Your there to guide me yet again. Took your course 14 day filmmaker 2 years ago. And i cant express enough how much I appreciate you.❤
Fantastic!
WHich phone did you buy eventually?
Thanks for that. Great content but what I really, really, really, liked was how much I learned deconstructing what you did in this video...amazing job!
Glad it was helpful!
I agree with you
This is exciting. I am coming from using conventional video cameras for the last 15 years and actually I am so excited to shift to a single smartphone to continue my video productions.
We love smartphones 🔥
Thank you for the Video. Question, which one would you recommend for 'Events Videography' in terms of 'capturing music, dancing, experiences between people and Editing it all after to create amazing music videos?' Would it be the Google Pixel, Iphone 15, Samsung, Sony or another smart phone? Creating music videos & film making is key here. Note; most of the events will be at night with various flashing lights. Look forward to your wisdom.
Many thanks,
Gary
I bought a galaxy s23 ultra last week and didn't even know about the video settings till now. Thanks for letting me know I can do things with it. I have a oneplus 9 pro which was great too.
Glad I could help
Loved this video. Now would you be able to do a video on podcasting with a phone? What is needed? Tripods, mics and how to shoot interview podcasts with a phone.?
I actually use the Xperia 5IV for content creation and it's great! If you want an Xperia at a lower price, go for the 5 line.
Love it!
This is just what I needed to view this morning. It's upgrade time! Perfect.
Perfect!
very helpful thank you
Amazing. This was extremely helpful. Thanks man! ❤️👍
Glad to hear it!
Fantastic instruction and presentation, as always.
Thank you! Cheers!
The course is really detailed and easy to follow.✅
Thanks!
So much info. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
I have one question,I have a light chaser for the 11 but had to turn that phone in. What do you recommend with 14? Should I invest on the 14 kit or just the case? They claim the they are different, polar pro that is! Ty great video! I’m a subscriber now! I might add I’m disabled and every purchase is a big one! Lol.
Love always your videos brother God bless you I'm learning so many things from you soon I mtak 14 day course soon as possible
Thank you!
this is just a "thank you" comment to appreciate how much energy you saved me. I'm a beginner in videography, and I spent already several hours watching videos with suggestions on gear. This video really helped to get the gist and not get lost (again).
Thank you for your work and your time!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi, thank you for your videos, are they Good even for the front camera? I would like to see my self while speaking.
I still have my Samsung S20 and while I wish it had 4k 24fps in auto mode rather than pro video (just saves manually setting iso/wb etc) I have to say, that I'm still really happy with it. I need to look at some possible filters for it but for the content I create, along with my mini 3 pro drone, quality wise at least, I'm happy with. Just need to learn more post edit techniques to jazz up the footage here and there but no doubt I will eventually upgrade to the latest Samsung model. Thanks for the video.
Love your perspective on things. Skills are more important than gear!
@@MrPaulXavier yes, you are right
I'm shooting on Samsung S21 fe and wish it had digital stabilization 😅 because I like shooting from hands 😊
@@Homemade_food_UAbut it has digital stabilization (and optical, also)
extremely informative.... great work!!!!!!
Much appreciated!
Your content is great and deserves more likes !!
Thanks!
Thanks - that was very educational!
You got it!
Fun fact, Samsung's portrait mode was introduced on the galaxy s10.also the quality is great.
I'm in the process of deciding to upgrade my iPhone 11 and look forward to taking your mobile version of the course. I'm not a professional; I use the film course to enhance the capturing of my projects. What I like about the 14-day course, I'm surprised when my friends and family ask how I capture good videos with an iPhone 11. I mentioned the 14 day Film course and still try to keep an edge by excluding a few secret tools like my Moment lenses :)
Very useful video well done ! surprisingly the sound quality was not in the 9 factors but we all know how important that is i have a 300 Euros cell fone and it has an wind like noise that it spoils everything !!!
Wow I was actually looking for something like this I’m glad I stood up
Glad to hear it!
Me too
@@MrPaulXavier is it possible to use your iPhone in a studio setting for live streaming?
finally, I got an answer from your video to thank you so much for the detailed information.
Glad I could help!
Great content.. I have veen using One Plus for past couple of years. So far so good. Its good you mentioned other phones apart from the obvious choices of Apple and Samsung.
One plus is great!
More nescessary is your skills, bro
@@Homemade_food_UA indeed totally agree. If one knows what kind of cinematic visuals and language one is aiming for a project, and matches it up with the most appropriate gears, then that's great. One won't blindly and unnecessarily go for investing in the most expensive and highest spec gears always.
yeah you are right
💯
Thank you❤❤❤... Great info
Glad it was helpful!
Hi 👋👋👋👋👋 I'm learning so much things from you. Brother always pray for you
As a Xperia Pro I owner it was worth it absolutely
Great video - thank you! My husband and I are in the 30 day course and we love everything you guys have put together. It's like a fire hydrant of information! I was just gathering my equipment to make sure I have everything. I have an iPhone 12 but brought my xiaomi phone from China when we moved back, so I'll have to check everything you mentioned here to compare. I was so surprised to see you mention 小米 (xiaomi) and Huawei. Good tries on the pronunciation! It's pronounced ssshhh-YAO (like ow! I stubbed my toe) - the mi is like the English word me. And Huawei - wei is like the English word way and Hua is a hard H and a short baby wa-wa sound - hwa. The wa-wei pronunciation is only used in English speaking countries.
Love to hear this! And yeah my pronunciation is terrible haha but it's helpful to hear from someone who knows how to actually say these words!
Xperia phones are aimed toward pro photographers, they don’t have good computational photography, however there photos and videos capabilities are way better than all the brand you mentioned when done professionally, the Xperia 1 5 coast 1300$ , the problem with Xperia phones they are good camera phones not good smart phones.
This was awesome - even if I'm not in the market for a new cell phone just yet. Your videos are always so informative and interesting. I'm currently in the editing section of your filmmaking course and I can't believe that you have detailed lessons on all of the major editing systems out there. You have really thought of everything. Such incredible value -thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
What a lecture dude. I like this personaly i have xperia 1 IV and o use it as altenative to my cam i like the manual mode ,cinematic mode actually it is better than my best own 13 pro max.
Well done ❤❤❤ new Subscriber from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Xiaomi Redmi user in the US here, love my imported phones.
200-300 bucks for 90% of the Apple samsung quality, can't beat it!
Really helpful! Thank you! You just gained a new subscriber :)
Thanks for the sub!
Ahhhh man was hoping to hear something different you confirmed what I already knew great video just as well. Vancouver!? ...looks like it:)
thank u, this helped me out of a really hard dilemma
Glad to hear it!
the video is sooo helpfull thank you man
Glad to hear it!
Thanks man!
Happy to help!
Very good video! Thank you
Thank you too!
Fantastic video! One of the biggest surprises I've had in quite a while is that my budget-friendly Samsung Galaxy A71 features a 64 mp camera with a 1.7" sensor ... and can also shoot at 960 fps(!). The new S23+ I just picked offers 50 mp and 1.6" sensor (and 960 fps capability).
you're missing the fraction in sensor size. A71 is 1/1.72" (which is 0.58"), while S23 is 1/1.56" (0.64")
Thank you for the video❤.
I am shooting my videos on Samsung S21 fe
Thanks for this informative video.
For now I have the iPhone XS.
Upgrading just 3 months before the new iPhone models does not feel good. What are your thoughts about that?
It’s easy to always fall into that trap, I think if you’re holding off creating content because you want to upgrade then upgrade asap start creating and don’t worry about the new phone. But if you’re already creating content and not holding back then maybe save a little more and wait assuming you’re not in a huge rush to upgrade.
Thank you for this, for lifestyle vlogs, iPhone Xsmax or iPhone 15promax ?
Def the best program I joined
Thanks man 🔥
Looking to enroll ni the ''30 dayscontent strategist'' course. What phone or camera woud you recommand to start with on a tight budget but that would allowed me to take on every type of job and start my content strategy agency right after finishing the course?
I think sound quality should have been touched on when discussing what qualities to look for in a smartphone for filmmaking
Absolutely... I'm finding it hard to find a phone for content creation. 6 years ago it wasn't a problem.. these days it's gotta tick a few boxes & audio is definitely up there in the top 3.
Thank youu for tips
No problem!!
Liked the video bro, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed!
I liked the video but I believe you missed out on a lot of great smartphones that take photos and videos and also some are willing to splurge I brought the Pro I with the Vlog kit and it is definitely worth the mention for videos. My best friend actually switched from his ultra to the Pro I
Of course we could have kept going on forever but we can only make the video so long :)
Thanks for the great video! For the Xiaomi phones, which model do you recommend that can rival Samsung?
Mi 11 ultra and up honestly
This is gem! 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!
bro, which xiaomi phone do you recommend for video shoot? thanks in advance
This one is actually helpful, I have the chance to buy one atm, dont know if I should wait fr s24
Haha that’s a tough one!
Hi great video, thanks. My main concern about buying used phones like iphone 13 & samsung s22/23, is wondering how long the batteries are going to last, as they have limited lifespan and surely been used alot already ... what's your thoughts on that?
Whoever I was buying from, I would just ask them to confirm what the "battery health" reading is from within the settings tab. Good thinking though!
Just get a power bank
Hi! First of all , thanks for the video. I’m a video creator and I use an iPhone 13 pro max sometimes. I use to shoot videos with a third party “filmic pro” . I had to say that my problem is with overheating because I film the videos at 4k in 50 fps. After 10 minutes of using the app the phone go crazy and it is very difficult to continue shooting. Anyone know if 14 pro max has still this issue ? Before the 13 pro max I had xs max and never had this problem . PS: I have this problem only in the summer when the overall temperature it is higher . Thanks
Great content!
Thanks!
Yes, cool❤
I found the only video for my search of best mobile for cinematography and content creation
Thanks!
Hello from Myanmar (Burma)
Hmm.. great info, but would you recommend these phones over an entry level APS-C or Full Frame Fuji, Sony or Canon camera for video?
It totally depends on what type of content creator you want to be. Generally I think these phones are better than pretty much all entry APS-C cameras. The Sony ZV-e10 does a good job competing in my eyes. Obviously a full frame camera will beat smartphones, but they're also significantly more expensive. (most are at least)
Great vid
Thank you for the video! But i you did not include an important factor. The sound recording quality of the videos. Because taking pictures is 100% about camera. But film making is also about sound too regarding phones - since we talk about all in one device. Would you recomend any specific models regarding the best sound recording we can get from smartphones?
I almost never recommend using the built in mic. For serious videos you will always want to use a dedicated third party microphone you attach to the phone. However iphones and samsungs both have great audio quality
Im happy and lucky because i saw your Video and im subscribe to your channal and keep going.
excellent!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank u man... I'm currently saving up for MacBook air m2 and 12pro max to startup my journey. It has been my dream since i was a kid, only limitation has been money 😂😂🥺
You got this 🔥💪🏻
Thank you so much! My son is in the entertainment industry. I need to start recording most of his demos and dance classes but i do not know where to start. Any recommendations?
iPhone is almost always my go to recommendation, the new 15 pro is amazing
Although this is purely on video quality, you’ll have to consider if taking a blurry photo due to horrible shuttle lag is your thing, if so choose a Samsung because they love taking blurry photos moments after you’ve pressed the shutter.
Yes they do have more shutter lag for photos
Great video, i have the s23 ultra, and am in the market for a new laptop for video editing... do you have any advice on which laptop would be best? I see most creators use macbook, but i imagine this would be problematic transferring between android and mac..
Check out our channel we actually just posted a video on laptops!
i have the new galaxy book3 ultra and love it, I've got the higher one with i9 32gb ram and the RTX 4070 GPU with 8gb onboard
❤️❤️Thanks for this amazing video! I've learnt a lot, but now I got a lot of questions... I am interested in a phone dedicated specifically for recording music videos. I thought the perfect choice was the S23, now I'm wondering if s21, s22 or a Xiaomi (I don't live in the USA). 🤔🤔🤔🤔
I would go with samsung
The best today is Sony Xperia 1V with capacity superior to Galaxy and Iphone
Great video. Can you share which phone is best for capturing movement in a photo? E.g. sports photography
If you need a long zoom range I would say the s23
I recently got thr Samsung s22 ultra. I create content and prefer using the front camera but with this phone I'm finding in videos there is a slight haze and while if filming it doesn't keep the focus that great. Do you have any advice or have I made a bad choice?
Definitely don’t use the front cameras they are significantly worse in quality.
The camera is on the back of the phones, you can't see the frame if you're the subject. OBS Ninja is a help in a setting where a computer is near, but even then is laggy. Any ideas on that issue? Informative video overall. 👍
I've seen people rig up a mirror to view the LCD from the front. If your phone has an HDMI output, you could connect it to an external monitor. Lastly, if you're going to be doing a lot of vlogging, it might be worth considering getting a dedicated bridge / mirrorless / DSLR camera that has a flip out LCD. For me, once I started using cameras with flip out LCDs, I can't go back to using anything else. I only shoot video with a phone if it's mounted to a tripod now.
@@lihtan mirrors...of course! Thanks! 😂
My favorite strategy is to frame myself up using the screen mirroring option on my apple watch
Any thoughts on the Samsung A52 - A54 5G phones?
what phone are u using for this vlog?
Hello guys I don't know much about cameras so help a brother out💙
Should I go for GX80/Fz300 camera Or for flagship phone like the S22 Or One Plus 9 pro, all what I care about is the video quality 💙💙
What mic would you recommend for filming nature videos in stereo? Thanks
Probably an h4n pro
Would you recommend a oppo phone. looking at a different phone for shooting content. but currently have a oppo A78? would really appreciate your feedback.
I honestly haven’t used an oppo phone myself but I heard they’re good!
Samsung s23 or iPhone 14 ?
I want to record for my editing small vfx and all . Which one i should go for ? Any suggestion!?
Assadali from Kenya Mombasa Africa
Does anybody know if the Samsung S23 Ultra supports manual focus in DJI MImo app please?
Hello. I was wondering if buying an iphone 12, not a 12 pro is worth it from a video camera point of view? If not, why and what will be worth it from a budget stand point? I have a Motorola g 5g. Does that phone have a good video camera?
That will definitely be an upgrade from what you currently have but I may suggest saving a bit more until you can afford the iphone 13
Bro, I was about to buy your 14 day film maker course, but I was watching the intro video for it, and I didn't hear you mention that it goes over Capcut!?? Is this true? I have been watching your videos on youtube, and I have been sold with going with Capcut, but I'm greatly concerned now if your course doesn't cover Capcut? Wondering your thoughts. .. Should I still do capcut, or is this not the best option, or is the intro video outdated and capcut is covered in it?
Very informative,new subcriber
Thanks and welcome!
Android depreciation makes them great value for a budget
Wow, thank you for the video, exactly what I was looking for . I need to buy the phone to record my projects, I am in construction, any tips for shooting))))) so was wondering if it is necessary to invest in latest phone, thanks helped a lot
Yeah, video really cool. I'm shooting on my Samsung S21 fe, bro. You can see difference beetwen my first videos and now
Check out our filmmaking program 14 day filmmaker! It covers every aspect of the shooting process :) it contains more tips than I could ever explain in a comment on YT
Great👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
One's thanks you
I’d love to try Sony’s phone as I use their mirrorless cameras, but I love the convenience of air drop with my Mac… man I’m bound to convenience.
Agreed - the convenience factor of apple is unmatched
Why do you only recomend iphone pro? is there difference between the regular and the pro if you dont use zoom lens?
Did you watch to the end of the video? I talk about that!
Bro what editing app would you consider for smartphones. All in all I’d like a post production for smartphone filmmaking
Capcut for basic edits, Lumafusion for more serious edits
