I had the Arya V2 and it had the best sound stage of any headphone I had ever heard including Susvara. It doesn’t have the resolution of Susvara but for massive holographic soundstage its king. The Ananda Nano is also an amazing headphone and has great detail. It’s currently the best $400 headphone in the world. Arya Organic I haven’t hear it but it supposedly has a but of a bright top end. So if you can demo these headphones prior to buying do it.
Been looking at the Organic since the price dropped but didn't pull the trigger once I saw the Unveiled drop. I've been waiting for a clear, concise comparison like this. Excellent and informative as always. You're the best!
I do not recommend buying HIFIMAN Arya Unveiled without listening to how they sound first. If possible, listen to them all. I have HIFIMAN Arya Organic headphones, which I have been listening to since May 2024. I recently went to an audio store to listen to HIFIMAN Arya Unveiled and HE1000 Unveiled to satisfy my curiosity, and now I am calm about HIFIMAN Arya Organic. HIFIMAN Arya Organic are still my favorite headphones. Arya Unveiled sound great, it is pleasant to listen to music in them, but they are boring, they do not give emotions either in music or in computer games, and this is very important to me. Music in headphones should give emotions. HE1000 Unveiled sound emotional, like Organic, I really liked them, but Arya Organic has more powerful bass. If the HIFIMAN line did not have an Arya Organic, I would choose the HE1000 Unveiled, and since I already have an Arya Organic, there is no point in the HE1000 Unveiled, and the Arya Organic is cheaper than the HE1000 Unveiled. The Arya Organic has powerful low frequencies, a warm sound, the mids sound very close, and the highs provide an airy and transparent sound. I really like the highs of the Organic, and I find it funny when commentators write that the Organic has bright highs and they seem to cut the ear. Yes, the highs are bright, but they do not saw the ear, do not create discomfort, on the contrary, the highs sound comfortable, airy, and I enjoy listening to them.
Thanks for a great review.. your description of the Aryas provided me with an insight like no other on which one I may consider.. Thank you again you are the best !
Superb review , thanks for all your advices and hours of work,i appreciate a lot Andy, need an advice for you , for Sivga que and Shozy p20 a dac dongle to get a good synergy with this 2 sets? Thanks in advance 😊
The Arya's were sadly well outside my price range this year, but I picked up a pair of Ananda Nano's. Holy. Cow. I'd love an Organic just by looks alone but I have so many Planars already 😂
I have a question for you. Is performance of a flagship DAP equivalent to a similarly priced desktop setup considering every factor ? Is it worth it even worth it to get a flagship DAP like Dx340, R8, M17, etc. over a desktop setup or should we just stick to a mid price DAP and spend flagship DAP money on a desktop All in One/stack instead ?
The recent crop of DAPs have really pushed the boundaries to next level. I can only speak for myself, but as noted in this video, I am leaning to favor a flagship DAPs to substitute any desktop DAC Amps I have access to and the DX340 practically outperform almost all of them. Not forgetting they are much more mobile
@@AndyAudioVault hmm... intresting, if thats the case the only limiting factor to consider desktop setups maybe just more power and over time degradation of battery in DAPS needing replacement in few years, i would request you that when you do the DX340 Review you do a bit of comparison with your desktop setup about their utility and sound quality with full size headphones as well.
I'm fairly impressed by your ability to pick out differences between these headphones and give an overview of each. I hope you get the HE1000se some time and at least compare it to the Arya Unveiled, if not the Organic as well.
Hello, I would like you to review the bullet style from Hiby, Loki and Yves, and how the sound compares to the bullets you have already reviewed. Greetings from Brazil.
What are you thoughts on the longevity of these unveiled headphones? It seems the driver could be damaged easily. The TH-camr Passion For Sound reported the same within a few weeks for his Susvara unveiled.
You just need to be careful, just like when you have something that cost $1500, you look after them with tender care, make sure the cover is placed accordingly when not used. Unless you abuse it with blatant neglect, the Unveiled will remain as good as it can be and I am not seeing any issues here really. A month now with the Susvara Unveiled and it looked as pristine as the day when I first opened it
I recently got an Arya Stealth but I don't know which dac/amp I should get. I would like to not spend more than what the headphones cost. Everywhere I hear that they need a lot of power to "run at their best" but I dont quite understand why do they need so much power and what is the actual amount of power that they really need. I've heard that they need around 1800 to 2000mW of power because of "the bass extension" or something like that, but they already sound loud with way less power, and the calculators say that they need around 300-400mW. I'm thinking about a fiio Q15 or something portable, because I would like to be able to hear while on the couch or other places of my home. But I would also like to know what's the difference between running it with a dongle at about 300mW balanced versus running it at 1500mW balanced for example. Thanks in advance and for the comparison and suggestions. I wish the ibasso wasn't worth 1400 bucks 😫
That is true. Magnetic planars need power by nature because they are among the most adaptive to high power output where you will hear fuller body of sound and better defined dynamic extension. While some of them are efficient enough to run on lower power feed like Arya Organic, but you will get only headroom but not the full potential unless you feed something over 500 mW and preferably over 1000 mW. If you can spend up to $500, then my recommendation would be xDuoo XD05T which is amazingly sweet with all the Aryas. Or you can also get JDS Labs Atom 2 stack
@@donhomer3479i have Arya Stealth with ZEN DAC 3, ZEN CAN 3 combo and sounds very good, but i have then only two days. Definitely big diference between new Arya Stealth and 6 months old HD 660S2. Its like day and night…
Hi Andy, thanks for the great review. In the "synergy" section, you mentioned the Stealth sounds rather clinical or spicy with certain DACs. I have mine paired with a Fiio K7, and I would like it to sound more "musical" than it currently does. Do you have a recommendation for a desktop DAC that would be better than the K7 for this?
I am still with my HD600 and Onix Alpha. Do you think Andy the Stealth is an upgrade or stay with my lovely HD600? And if yes can Onix drive properly the Stealth or need to upgrade? Thanks!
All of these Aryas are tuned differently and I am also still using my HD600 as much. They are markedly faster with transient speed compared to HD600. ONIX Alpha Xi would be able to drive especially Arya Organic up to 90% potential and 80% for Arya Stealth. 85% for Arya Unveiled
The Aune AR5000 is the better upgrade for HD600. It's like the HD600 but with better sub bass and no veil. I heard the organic and Arya Stealth and didn't think much of them. I prefer a neutral and natural sound rather than these weird sounding headphones.
I have HD660S2, never heard HD600, but i can tell you, that Arya Stealth is another level of sounding in every aspect and now, when i listen HD660S2… its like two or three steps back. I dont like how they sounded anymore and HD660S2 its technically far better than HD600. In my ipinion, Arya Stealth and everything in HD6** line are incomparable. Arya Stealth vs HD800s is fair compare.
Wow! Definitely the best comparison of arya's on the internet. Simply lovely! Definitely gonna get the stealth not only because of slight v but also cheapest. How do you think audirect team 1 magsafe will power the stealth? Or shanling h5(you probably don't remember so its ok)
Agree with all of this except for when you said the Organic is the most forgiving of the 3. That version has the most quantity of treble and it is also more peaky. To my ears, the Unveiled is easily the most forgiving 🤷🏻♂️
I have the Stealth with EF400 as an amp and its good for many music genres, but its pretty bad with metal (trash, black, death metal). Not impactful, disjointed and "separated" that sounds very bad with metal. Is it that like this with the Unveiled?
it will be hard to get them in perfect condition at used market 😅 knowing how people dont care about audio gear those magnets will be dirty, I did mentioned it just because its a high price for new headphones made from super cheap materials, might even say dirty cheap
The amp stages in the Burson play is the same amp as the Funk. The Funk is easily one of the worst headphone amplifiers I've ever heard in my life and I've heard hundreds. A $30 Douk U3 is a flat out better amp. You need to get rid of that pile of trash.
@AndyAudioVault That doesn't matter at all. The amp is awful. I've had Sparkos 2590s, Sonic Imagery Labs 994s, V6 vivid and classic, tons of TI versions, Burson Supercharger, linear power supplies, battery power supplies and none of them did anything to give that amp any staging abilities. It drove me insane that everything is almost like mono sound and projected out in front of you with zero ability to stage all the way to the side or behind you, everything is confined to a 90 degree frontal cone. It was super low detail too. I don't hate Burson, I run a fully upgraded 2023 3X GT as my daily driver amp, but the Play and Funk were just terrible amplifiers. Flat out awful.
I've been researching my next purchase for 2 weeks and have come to the conclusion that its Hifiman arya organic. Great timing, Andy.
Enjoy it!
I would listen to it first before buying. These hifiman headphones never seem to live up to the TH-cam hype. Aune AR5000 sounded better to me.
Already own the HD6XX which has a similar profile, looking for a bigger sound stage and more detail.@@dtz1000
