+@43bobbyg it’s getting quicker the more I use it and the longer it has to connect to the satellites 👍

Jeez that was a phenomenal speed on 5g, I'm yet to be in an area where I've got anything like that 😢 Great to see Christa is pretending she isn't interested, she's clearly loving the tech 😂

Yeah there must be a 5g mast right by the storage site for that. Off to the black spot site so I think this is where we will see the Starlink come into its own for sure.
Christa and tech just do not go 😜

I wouldn’t say the 290 Mb a second is struggling! I’m getting 15 Mb down from my cell provider, now that’s struggling 😜

+@skoffco 😂 yeah just a little difference - now I’m getting more used to I’m certainly seeing the benefits

The roof antenna with a decent 5g or 4g+ router should be as fast if not faster than your phone . The router and antenna can aggregate the channels used to connect . Often described as cat 20 or cat 22 you can achieve up to around 3.8Gbs download speed . Phones , though fast , don’t have this capability . That’s why nighthawk , and other cat 22 mifi routers are expensive . Loved your vlog . Might be taking advantage of the starlink deal myself . I was in Scotland recently with crap mobile phone signal .

Wasn't sure to get a net gear or a starlink as were currently in Cumbria and really struggling for wifi, starlink is expensive but if it works?

@@chrissey663 as long as you have a clear view of the sky Starlink will work. I have 5g on the van but can see the different for Starlink and for some much needed. Plus you can start/stop the monthly subscription which helps

Hi @neildawkins3178 we got this direct from the Starlink app - when download and to order (make sure selecting roam) if for the van and there should be an option from £225 new or £150 refurbished

Your huge van is in the way😂 like you said it will come into its own in deadzones - cant compete with that 5g signal tho.

+@leannearnold8326 😂bigger vans in our storage place for sure but could have picked a better spot. Totally agree I was shocked on the speed of 5g on my phone but I agree the black spots is where Starlink will come into its own so will soon find out or even just a 4g area where speeds not that good. 👍
