My parents ran YMCA Camp Lakewood , during 60s. Our free time was dedicated to laughter with these young men. RIP Tommy. What a joyful history of humor, without animus, nor vitrol. The impossible, seemed possible.
My wife and I saw the Smothers Brothers at the Las Vegas Hilton. We actually met Dick Smother in the lobby early in the afternoon the day of the show. He was really nice and talked to us for several minutes before he had to go. 🎉
Rest In Peace Tommy 😢 I’ll always remember the time we saw the Smothers Brothers perform at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. “Dream the Impossible Dream” has always been one of my favorite songs! 😢
Thanks for the mention of Oliver North and Iran Contra and our "adventures" in Central America. Ahh, the Smothers Brothers, always topical, always on point. The mistakes that Reagan made in our own hemisphere the 80s resulting in the asylum seekers at our borders today. Rest in power, Tommy. 🗽
LOVE IT!! I saw them live in Livermore, CA last summer. They deserve to have long healthy, happy lives. They brought me, my family and America so much laughter.
They lost their show because they would not bow to political pressure and continued their rants just like this one. Even then the government and politicians controlled the media.
Funny, witty, intelligent, creative, positive, humane, classy.Nothing like it on TV today.
They are as relevant today as they were 50 years ago.

There was an innocence in that satire, in that truth, wasnt there? Thank you for posting.
RIP Tommy! You guys offered so many lessons with your humor.

That smile on Dickys’ face ; he knows what’s coming ! 😂❤
Love you Tom. Will miss your fight for what is right!
They make me laugh so much, you can tell it’s coming by watching Tommy’s facial expressions 😂
WOWW!
This is very well true Today 👍 👏 👌
Smothers Brothers are ahead of their time.
Or timeless.
The harmonisations are real class.
Funny how individually they are just two average singers then they harmonize and they sound incredible.
Tommy died yesterday at the age of 86. RIP Tommy 😭
Wow, they were on to something! I love that this still makes me laugh.

Love the Smothers Brothers. I’m impressed by how quality the video is!
I can't speak for Mom but I always liked Tommy best.
When I watched these guys every week while i was in grade school I used to wonder why these two could never make it straight through the song! Lol
I thought at first this was recorded in the 60s, then I heard Ollie North mentioned 😳
❤
RIP, Tommy! :(
How ironic, indeed. Semper Fi
