Assalamalaikum Qasim bhai.. Love your videos. Need some information please. Im Indian but Oman resident based in Muscat. I have been planning to drive from Muscat into Saudi i.e Riyadh, Makkah, Madina, Riyadh and back to Muscat. From my research, it appears driving from Muscat to Al Ain (UAE) and then enter into Saudi is quicker. So my question is do I have to apply for UAE visa to transit.
Or what is your recommendation ? Driving from Muscat to Ibri and then entering Saudi through empty quarter? Please advise.

Wasalam dear and thank you for the comment
Yes going to riyadh via dubai is quickly by approx 3 hours and yes you have to apply for uae visa
There are pros and cons for both route
It depends on you time and availability
If you want to save 3 hours and see less desert then go through UAE but it can be expensive if you are traveling with family and if you going to dubai then better spend some time there (spend more money)
Via ibri its cheaper but can be boring as its all desert nothing else and can be tiring if you dont like or enjoy long ,very long drives but those dunes are worth seeing
You can go through ibri and come back via dubai would be my recommendation so you will see everything

@@rovewithqasim thank you bhai for replying. Few other things please.
      - I have already been to Dubai via road so not very keen to visit again. So, even if I return from UAE I would still need to get visa which might cost me 100 OMR.
      - Please advise if driving from Muscat-Riyadh is doable in a day if I start like 4 am. I have 3 kids and me being lone driver.
      - If you recommend a stop-over then please suggest where can I find a decent hotel to stay overnight before continuing my journey to Saudi.
      - Can I get Saudi car insurance on the way/border crossing or do I have to apply it in advance ?
      - Are there any tolls in Saudi - something like Salik in Dubai ? Are tourist Oman cars exempted from such tolls ?
      - Last thing , how much does 1 year multiple entry tourist visa to Saudi cost ? Or do I have to apply Umrah visa explicitly ?
      Thanks in advance ! Jazakallah

      @@hydermohammad5008 welcome dear
      - yes that the point no use of going to dubai if you dont want to stay over
      - from muscat directly to riyadh in 1 day only of you are a superman in driving
I started 6am from ibri and reached around 10 in riyadh with around 3 hour different breaks
      - first option start from muscat in evening stay overnight in ibri then start early from there of you can drive straight 15 hours
I have not seen any stay over hotel after saudi border during my travel but there is one now i can see on google map
      maps.app.goo.gl/eLC2WB24uL4y8tVr7?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy
      Call this number +966 55 056 8775 to confirm
      - insurance is required and can be purchased on saudi border
-no tolls but be carefull on road speed limit rates of fines are much higher in saudi then oman

Better to take multiple entry tourist visa for around 60 rials with insurance then umra as umra visa is single entry
