Aslm alkm, any idea which time will be best to pass the border with less waiting time. I am planning to go for Umrah from Abudhabi on 29th of Ramadan
Border crossing for private vehicles is peaceful on saudi border, better to reach there 2/3 hours before suhoor, bring your suhoor items with you, so you can have it after border crossing and start your journey in saudi after fajr.. as it can be bit dangerous in the dark..

Do we need a tourist vehicle certificate to enter Saudia? (personal car shj plate)
No need for any such certificate, just insurance will be required
That can be bought at border

@@shereenshereen8771 No they didn't ask for any certificate. U just need to pay 30dhm exit charge pp and buy car insurance when u clear customs. That's it.

Salaam, what was the total cost of the entire road trip, including expenses such as fuel, insurance, and other related costs? Did you stay in any hotel during the road trip?
I did not track the expenses closely, insurance cost will depend on the duration of stay, they have it for 1 week, 2 weeks and more and its bit pricey.. fuel is bit cheaper as compared to uae, its approx 1800km from abu dhabi to makkah, so you can estimate how much your car will consume for this much kilometres

Can you please guide about documentation needed for the car in abu dhabi and how to complete the requirements?
Car must be on your name and Saudi insurance will be required covering the duration of your visit.. no other documentation is required for the car!!

I don't think you will face any problem, I once traveled to Oman when my car was under bank mortgage...
