Actually when CT sec terminal is open, for CT, connected load on CT sec is virtually infinite. Hence a very huge voltage is developed to drive the current in CT secondary which ultimately leads to CT failure due to reasons discussed in the video. Kindly correct my statement if anything is wrong.
Yes sir but the same thing we can say with power transformer. When there is no load we take the load to be infinite. But no huge voltage is developed in the power transformer. Everything comes to Primary current.

In power transformer, current in primary winding is dependent on connected load on secondary winding. Whereas in case of CT current in primary winding is independent on connected burden or load on secondary winding. Which is the major difference in PTR and CT
Can u tell me....132 kv isolated PT secodary should be apllied 110 v then what is the primary voltage....is it 132 kv..or magnetic field connot be produce beacsue of low voltage.
