You are saying traditional White-nose as if European noses are the standard( Normal, Default). Furthermore, the last time I checked, " Whites" also belongs to different ethnic groups. The lexicon used here is othering people. You definitely do not look normal or White, very ethnic actually. Could you be specific as to what ethnic group you belong to?

I don’t think she meant it in a negative way. This is how they taught them at school. The first rhinoplasty’s were performed on only white people. So it was the standard. No matter if they were Irish, Scottish, Swedish, Jewish, Etc. it didn’t matter what type of white person they were, As long as they were white. A white nose is dramatically different from a person of color nose. The thickness, width, nasalis bones, just the overall structure of the nose. the anatomy that they generalized everyone else’s anatomy on were white men in fact. Historians believed that no one else’s biology really mattered because it was all based on one type of person. But it’s a new time now and Technology has evolved and we realize that we all have major differences in our bodies.

This video is also 5 years old. Language has changed a lot. We are more inclusive now.

Genetics are not one-size-fits-all. Being Blk I would get compliments on my "European" nose and facial features. I thought that was weird! But as I aged I realized that's the market; looking less ethnic and more mainstream-"Westernized European". We can get all the plastic surgery we want but we can't augment genetics.
