I don’t get it how hard is it for LEGO to make heroes other than Batman. I’m pretty sure the last new hero we got in a set not a book was in 2019 with Shazam. I actually think Shazam would be the last hero we have gotten that isn’t in the bat family since 2019.
They mainly care about their bottom line and Batman will automatically sell a certain amount to a wider base vs a lesser known hero. But I agree they should take risks! There’s a lot more demand from hardcores than they probably realize. Look at Star Wars and how obscure those sets can get. The average Lego fan won’t know the cast of Rebels yet there’s plenty of people who do that will justify those sets.

The Batmobiles both being out at the same time is super smart, as one of the biggest challenges with the ‘66 Batcave was that so many people just wanted the Batmobile, and didn’t want to spend several hundred dollars to get it. By having a nearly identical, but not quite, version out at the same time allows for choice, which will only lead to more product sales for LEGO, while not cheating out either interested party
This set is brilliantly done, and nice that it's purchasable on its own outside of the really expensive Batcave Shadowbox. But it's still far too expensive for how little you get here; it's barely larger than the Speed Champions cars and costs almost twice as much as those. For context, the last Batmobile from 2019, called Pursuit of the Joker which drew inspiration from this Keaton/Burton era Batmobile cost $30. It would be $36 today. So really, this set (due to having some more pieces than the 2019 set) should be $40 at the very most, the same as the retired smaller Tumbler set. But, people are going to pay nearly $50 for it cos it's THE Batmobile that a lot of people wanted but couldn't afford to splash out on previously, even if what's here is still terrible value.
Thanks and I had no idea of the rotating flames. I have mine on pre-order and used $20 VIP points so the price is now reasonable. It will look nice next to my 1966 Batmobile!
I would have included a new Joker Henchman like in the large-scale Batwing. Perhaps not a flashy character, but it would have been cool to get him in a smaller set for army building. As for there being two Batmobiles, the design team said they wanted the Batmobile to be the centerpiece of the Batcave. In my opinion though, they could have included the Batski on the vehicle platform and allow you to purchase the Batmobile separately and put it on the platform.
Man that’s the Best Batman minifig i’ve seen, love that it does look like a Keaton Batman suit adaptation to a regular lego toy figure, idk it’s just perfect as a Batman Keaton minfig and as a figure in general, and the Joker is perfection, I get that his face aint accurate but man that hair piece and torso printing is perfect, i mean, the face is really similar to a Jack Nicholson Joker, I think just for the minifigs, it’s worth getting, the batmobile is stunning and the best one Lego has made so far!
The Batmobile from the batcave should of had 1 more feature but nearly impossible because of the scale. The feature should have the sides pop out like the returns movie when he drove right through 2 buildings! That would awesome. Great video
I’ve been looking for this set now early for two weeks. I’ve seen so many other sets that are better(the entire sonic line, no way home set, all the Star Wars and dreamzzz) but none of the Batman ones. All I want in august is this set, so I can mod the Batmobile to be the best version for my collection, use the joker head and hair for the best joker in my collection, and finally get the new Batman cowl!
Should be good if they made "Lego Batman Anthology" Batmovil vs. Penguin and Catwoman. Batwing vs. Joker. Batcave: Riddler and Two Face attack. Mr. Freeze Tank and Poison Ivy. We have more variety of characters and constructions and not only "Batman vs. Joker x3"

Now they just need to release a bunch of sets for BTAS, Christopher Reeve Superman, and the Arrowverse and me personally I liked to see a DC cmf series with a bunch of version of character that don’t really warrant their own sets like Smallville or Gotham
Since there was already the Returns Batmobile in the shadow box set, it would have been cool if this was the Batmissle so you could chose which to display in the Batcave.

Great build!!! I bought it today, price is not bad for 2figs and the batmobile. I did purchase a lighting kit LED for the batmobile at eBay for cheap!!!!! My batmobile will light up!! 😊
I just got this set today, haven't built it yet. But based on the box art, the grapnel gun could've been better. They should've reused the one from the LEGO batman movie from 2017.
I was looking forward to 2023 dc sets.. I thought at least we will have flash and blue Beetle sets. But here we are. I can't find any joy in any of these sets.

I enjoyed the build of this one since I don't have the version in the batcave but was Extremely disappointed in the fact that LEGO wanted to use clear 1x2 tile instead of yellow. Come on LEGO, the batmobile does not have clear headlights. Luckily I had the parts but for people that don't, the batmobile is not accurate

Couldn’t agree more. I mean, we literally got three “Batman vs Joker” sets this year. Batman is arguably DC’s most profitable superhero, but we need more sets that include other characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and others. They can make more stuff based off the comics rather than mostly sticking to the Batman movies.
I dont think this guy is reviewing these impartially. Its important that the batmobiles are similar since they are by the same director, yet different because of their respective films
When I first saw pictures of the shadow box batcave, I really wanted the batmobile in it. So I'm really glad they'll selling a 95% identical model separately. I definitely see how the people who paid $400 for the shadow box can be upset that normies like us can get our hands on a near identical batmobile for much cheaper.

A glow in the dark festure would be neat aswell for the eyes. They should have made the Batmobile from returns with removable sides for the Batmissle.

Technically speaking the new cowl first appeared in the Batcave Shadow Box set. But it would've been designed at the same time as these batch of sets.

I’ve completely given up on the DC theme from LEGO. I’m done. I’ve switched to collecting Star Wars. At least that line is collectable.
