One of the most overhyped and overpriced products of 2024. These should be $125/box max.

I'd say $200 but as is it's definitely overpriced, in my opinion.
All cards are gonna be inflated in price. Everyone is trying sell cards to make a buck these days and people are not wanting to buy cards around comp now lol

Naw, Panini products going downhill fast, $400 is crazy when numbered cards are so over saturated now.
Don't remember how much R&S was in 17'-19', but in 18' Prizm for instance was $180 and went to $200 in 19'. Even if you increase it $20 a year, Prizm should be around, at MAX, $280-$300.
Phoenix was about $150 so it at MAX should be around $225-$250.
It's INSANE what newbs ard willing to pay.
And, don't tell me the rookies have been SO much better in 20'-23' as they were in 17'-19'. No way. 😅😅😅
But, until newbs stop putting up with BS prices and STOP buying ANYTHING from scumbag scalpers/secondary market sellers/WhatFnNot/Wannabe breakers, etc...NOTHING will change.
Single prices are also not where they were during the great vovid invasion of 20'-21'. So NO excuses.
But, it's a business and they will charge whatever
dumba$$e$ are willing to pay.
$$$ talk- ask Nike, Target, Chic-Fil-A, Bud Light, etc...
If we all got together, sacrificed temporary for the greater good of the hobby long term and do the above, things would change quickly.
All the scumbag scalpers/secondary market sellers/WhatFnNot/Wannabe breakers, etc..would drop d--- and have to go get REAL jobs like the rest of us.
We'd weed out all that trash, prices would drop and the hobby would return to some kind of pre- covid invasion normalcy.
Hopefully then TRUE collectors could actually afford to collect again.
Do NOT care what happens to the deep pocketed Butt-kissers.
Hopefully the R&S blasters will be as hood as last year & Hopefully 🤞 collectors will be able to get their hands on some before the scumbag trash gets it all, as usual.
The ONLY decent retail product I've been able to get my hands on since the covid invasion was 22' R&S. Still have a few.
I got lucky, for once, coming home from a long day at the hospital and stopped by Target to pick up some milk decided to look and hit the jackpot. Wondered if they stocked late to throw the scumbags off. I bought 10 and there were still tons there.
Should've bought them all and doldrums them yo friends at cost that couldn't get any. Next time I'll know better. I like to leave some for others, but then you see who gets it. SMDH.
Poor kid can't even go buy a box.
Haven't wanted to much retail as they've ruined most of it since covid, but would've liked some 20' 21' and 22' Optic and 23' DonRuss megas but nope. NEVER saw 1 box of either.

I mean, that’s just not the case. Breakers move so much product, most panini football hasn’t dropped. Some have flat lines for sure, and stuff like absolute dipped from opening day, but with breaking being so big most product that is “break worthy” seems to do ok these days.
@@cardcollector2 Breakers have ruined the hobby. Just gobbling up everything and driving up prices of products. Gone are the days where the average guy trying to put food on the table can afford opening some hobby with their kid. My son used to love collecting cards but hates it now because the prices are so overinflated.

No chance anyone believes Rookies and Stars with no top autos and no good chase cards is underrated at $400 a box.
Well to be fair, no product this year has top chase autos.
@@cardcollector2 but that's the only draw to Rookies and Stars every year. The base and inserts aren't desirable cards, which means there's only a handful of cards that gets your $400 back and very few cards that make for a profit

Only way to make back anything on these is to have the numbered and autographed card graded and get 10's on them. I'll buy $400 in Prizm instead.

I am a fan of these boxes. I also agree that it is underrated. But there are a lot of releases and not everyone is going to value everything the same.

For someone very new to this hobby how do u know when a card has value? Because I see some autos and jersey cards that seem to be overlooked but some that aren’t.
We use eBay sold listings for most, because that’s where completed sales are.
Rookies & Stars has NEVER held value . . . no matter how much you try to hype the product!
The statement wasn’t: hold these for a decade, it was “these are underrated boxes”. Not quite the same, sorry.

I can understand $100-150 range for a box of decent hobby cards, but this 💩 is ridiculous. Breakers buying up everything drives up the prices (supply and demand). If we didn’t have breakers there’d be more available product sitting around, thus lower/normal prices that the average income person could afford to actually buy.
