I always hear Marshall talking about tiny bottom on the podcast and then I was notified of your guys video. I knew it had to be it! Love the channel. Keep after it!
looks really nice i'm mexican and i'm starting my beer brand in mexico, looks really nice i insist, we have made a nice pale ale all grain that tastes amazing
Really like the video editing. When will you put up some more blubber reels or even a day in the life . Just fun to watch you guys doing it. Looks like your having fun as well. System straight forward easy. ( anyone Into comments.) I have the 120v. Make brew day real nice and clean.
So I noticed you're using the 240 controller setup, I wish I had waited and bought that set up instead of the 110 volt. I do love my 110 set up and the original controller, but it would be nice to get to a boil quicker...great video as always...thanks
Fantastic video as always... So question for you guys. Let's say someone (like me) wants to convert one of their kettles to an electric system, and wants to use your controller and accessories, is there a way to this? Or would you guys consider selling a conversion kit? I'd love to convert my 20 gallon kettle to your setup.
What is the actual starting water? Marshall's site just shows a batch size of 5.5 gallons. Then you guys said you had to add water. Love you guys brew series! Keep it up. Bring Rachel back for another brew day too.
Cheers from France guys ! Why is it always the same of you guys doing the heavy lifting ? ;) Funny you guys talked clarity, as i saw the thumbnail I thought to myself..."damn my beers are very hazy". Would be cool if you guys would tackle the subject for homebrewers. I'd love to improve on the subject.
I have a newby question guys. Why u never use mash water + sparge water? I see you always pour the water at the beggining and that's it. Before watchng your videos, I was used to use sparge water, but now I'm thinking about it, based on the fact that now I build up my own homemade equipment (similar to yours). The thing is: what if you come up with a higher gravity than expected right after boiling? Would you just add more boiled water to the finished mash right before fermenting? Can I assume that using the basket make lot of issues just dissapear?. Thanks a lot for such great videos and for sharing knowledge with us!
Quick question and I am sure you guys get it a lot, but after countless videos do you ever use a yeast starter or always direct pitch? I am only 1 batch into my All Grain set up and have listened to Brulosophy's podcast on this topic, just wanted to get your take.
Great video guys. How so you calculate how much water to use on your system? I bought it recently and have just been eyeballing water. Is there a better way to ensure I'm getting 5 gallons in my fermenter each time? Thanks!
I would suggest using brewing software. I personally use Brewer's Friend. There is also BeerSmith. They both will help you dial in recipes and water requirements. Cheers!
Everything you brew I’ve noticed you have clarity issues. Mind you it’s not a big deal but if you’re going to crush your grain so fine you need to add some hulls to the mash to aid in filtering. I feel because you recirculate you can go with a larger crush and still have decent efficiency but keep those hulls intact.
I wondered this as well; I can see that the pump is circulating the wort during the mash but I'd have to assume a normal water calculator of say 16L mash tun and 18L for sparging is just all thrown in there?

Great video, beer definitely sounds good. Brulosophy is great, always enjoy reading his blog/site.
Tiny Bottom Ales you make the rockin world go round!
Sounds tasty!
Guy in the green hat looks like dennis from its always sunny
I like that you guys kept the mistakes in the video and explained how you fixed it.
That is a tasty-looking beer.
Another great video chaps. Sounds like a winner, I'll have a go at this.. 🤤
Emmet looking good and reppin' Akron!!!!
When are you guys going to add some Clawhammer Supply pint glasses to your online shop?
I agree.
I would buy a couple of them.
Chers from Brazil! Thank you!
That is dennis from its always sunny in Philadelphia
Great video. Very good recipe. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yet another great vid, thanks guys.
How about a tour of your facility maybe a peek in the room behind your tap wall?
A Clawhammer "Cribs" episode is on the shortlist.
I love the 240 volt system. You guys make a great product. There’s definitely one in my future.
Really like the video editing. When will you put up some more blubber reels or even a day in the life . Just fun to watch you guys doing it. Looks like your having fun as well. System straight forward easy. ( anyone Into comments.) I have the 120v. Make brew day real nice and clean.
I demand a black IPA video! Thanks
They did one once.

When are you coming out with a Clawhammer fermenter (besides the plastic bucket)?
That's a five star man if I've ever seen one.
Great video! I have your 120 volt system and brewsmith as well and was wondering if you could share the profile parameters you use?
When are y’all going to try the Brut IPA again?

Shoot Emmet an email (info@clawhammersupply.com) and he'll hook you up with the details.
Love that you guys leave in mistakes. Anyone who has brewed know that "trub" happens😂
Ever heard of beer smith ?

Thanks! Full Recipe Details: goo.gl/7jtTTd Also, Rachael will be back soon, hopefully. She's catsitting in LA right now. Not joking.

hachebot whir flock tablet or Irish moss add in the last 15 minutes of the boil will help with clarity.
@Clawhammer Supply: Any issues with pitching the yeast straight in the fermenter (without using a starter) ?

What do you guys set the kettle on top of when brewing? would a pizza stone work??

Almost always direct pitch out of pure laziness.
@@ClawhammerSupply TIME TO GO LAZY!
Great video guys. How so you calculate how much water to use on your system? I bought it recently and have just been eyeballing water. Is there a better way to ensure I'm getting 5 gallons in my fermenter each time? Thanks!
We always aim for 5.5 gal into the fermenter so we end up with 5 "clean" gallons into kegs or bottles. What kind of fermenter are you using?
I would suggest using brewing software. I personally use Brewer's Friend. There is also BeerSmith. They both will help you dial in recipes and water requirements. Cheers!
Yes, sorry, brewing software is what you're looking for (as mentioned by Anthony). We use BeerSmith.
@@ClawhammerSupply I've got 2 Big Mouth Bubbler's from Northern Brewer. I use the 6.5 Gallon for primary and the 5 Gallon for secondary fermentation
Did you all just use the pure pitch or did you make a starter?
We just used the pure pitch for this one because that's what I believe Marshall at Brulosophy specified.
What efficiency are you getting on your set up?
Email Emmet for the details. info@clawhammersupply.com
Do you have a Imperial lager recipe
We don't but I just drank the other day at New Belgium and really liked it. Perhaps we'll brew one.
@@ClawhammerSupply that would be nice i would like to make one with Floor-Malted grains

5 different malts is not a simple grain bill
First Emmitt looking good buddy! Losing weight? Also you guys do a great job!
That's what I was thinking too.
So urijah faber is a brewer now huh ;)
Had to look that one up. Maybe I'll do cornrows for the next vid and we'll see how close I come.
Cant get over how they say fuggle
They never sparge the grain? hmm..
I wondered this as well; I can see that the pump is circulating the wort during the mash but I'd have to assume a normal water calculator of say 16L mash tun and 18L for sparging is just all thrown in there?
You from Ohio?
WHAT WAS THE OG GUYS. I BREWED YESTERDAY AND GOT 1040, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Great job man! Keep it up!
Sup homies
Sup! Chillaxin. What day is it?
That's an IPA not a Pale Ale.
Not a big fan of tiny bottom in my pale ale, thanks anyways.
