Finaly a detailed adjustment video. Like to see more details on measuring and adjusting. Informations about setting up the equipment (for dummys like me) will be nice. Thank you !
@@drdolby1585 I do not think so, my observation shows that calibration is tuned differently than on other vendors. Default values will produce underbiased records. And if you tune up defaults then calibrator will be off.
I have a nakamichi cr7, but found there is a drop (rolling off) from 15kHz at source monitor mode, do you know why? (no tape involved, measuring equipments are all ok, every other deck is flat, but cr7 rolls off from 15k, mpx off, dolby off)
Check if the orange polypropylene capacitors are shot. In many cases, these caps were a reason for poor performance in decks. Even if it were Akai and not Nakamichi.

I have posted a video on how to use a millivoltmeter before. Check it on my channel page.

@@drdolby1585It is quite easy to “build” one.
Longest video by far you've made! And yes, the CR-7 is one of the most complicated work ever, as it will fail from time to time!
Ottimo deck!
I want to purchase belts for my nakamichi deck BX2 which site do you suggest for belts ?
