From the first time I watched this programme I was struck by the calibre of the clients being not as high as I expected... but these jimmies hit a new low.
Thing is.... the real classy people don't need to rent a yacht... they OWN a megayacht....because they have money AND class..... those guys mostly wanted to be on TV and feel like roylaty for 48 Hours....
i think there was only One Charter which Captain Lee actually showed up twice for dinner because he wanted to.... it was with guests that lost their Daughter to a Drug OD, 5 years prior. and he just lost his son a year priror to OD.... so they bonded over the los and helped each other grief, because he was still raw from it. it was an absolute heartwarming episode.
Wow, if I had enough money to even be there, I would be so happy. Well, they say that money can't buy happiness...Still, I would not behave like fighting siblings. Also, let the thermos guy be, he was just trying to live his life, no need to be pissy.
I feel a lot of the Below Deck guests have money, but no class or education. It shows. Charley and the drunk swimmer, lady, etc. Did you hear her telling Captain Lee that she spent a great deal on this trip when he told her to get her ass back on the boat? Outrageous!
I don't care how much these guests are paying, there's no excuse for their rude obnoxious disrespectful behaviour during this dinner! I feel sorry for Captain Lee having to put up with them especially Justin!
Captain Lee was always so miserable and unpleasant. At most of the dinners with the passengers you could see from his face that he was as bored as hell and viewed most of his clients as total prats. We never saw him assisting his crew, or giving them helpful guidance. What does he do all day in that wheel house by himself - very cushy job for a lazy person. The bloke is in the wrong job.
Rude and obnoxious guests are just what this show or any other reality TV series needs. A sever injury would be icing on the cake. The more the better to increase the level and amount of drama. No drama - no show. Non of the crew, other than perhaps the captain, seem to be competent or display any seamanship. They wouldn't last a day on a real boat. They are hired because they are attractive and presumably can learn their lines and not for their knowledge or ability.
To me the guy with the thermostat was just chilling and the other guests were making a deal out of nothing. The other bald guy closet to the captain was showing the least table manners out of all of them, sipping soup whilst the spoon is inside, burping etc..
Good job Lee is not a boss in the UK because all his Clint Eastwood shit and his obsessions with handing people their arses and all that would just end up with him being punched out ! There is a way of talking to people and asking them not to mess up. Lee seems to think his little stripes makes him Bruce Lee 🤔
as a sober person, sometimes i drink things that look like cocktails so i dont have to deal with people asking why im not drinking alcohol. the guests were drinking an amber liquor with lime, i presume the captain ordered apple juice with lime to make it look like he was drinking the same thing they were, while discreetly maintaining sobriety so he can operate a yacht. also, apple juice with lime is delicious.
