+Roswell BlackRose well I mean whether win or lose it isn't going to be as hype or energetic if it was live com. I mean even last week I couldn't tell if he was gonna win or not simply from the beginning.
Shady, he is not our Goliath, in the fist match of the gba, he was lucky, in the second match he outplayed us. In the first match of the ucl, we missplayed in the endgame, but in this match, we entered expecting to lose. We should never do that again, we can win any opponent, we must never forget that. GG Shady, may we win the next one! (I'm saying "we" all the time because I want you to know you are not alone, you are one of us, the shady people, and we are together in every win as much as in every loss)
Let's do some math. Shady dragon-tailed/roared Dan 8 times. The probability of him roaring Dan into Crobat is 1/5. This is because we don't count the pokemon being roared out as part of the 6. Halfway through the battle, Shady killed Dan's Raikou. So now the odds were 1/4 to roar into Crobat. Now it's a 25% chance which is still not good odds to rely on. 7:36 - Dragon tailed Conk into Sabertooth - 1/5 chance 12:07 - Dragon tailed Conk into Tangrowth - 1/5 chance 13:35 - Dragon tailed Tangrowth into Vaporeon - 1/5 chance 13:52 - Dragon tailed Vaporeon into Tangrowth - 1/5 chance 15:32 - Dragon tailed Conk into Metagross - 1/5 chance 28:46 - Roared Tangrowth into Mega Metagross - 1/4 chance since only 5 pokemon left for Dan 30:19 - Roared Conk into Mega Metagross - 1/4 chance 31:10 - Roared Mega Metagross into Vaporeon - 1/4 chance Overall, Shady had a 20% - 25% chance to get Crobat out. That is literally less chance than hitting a Guillotine which has a 30% chance xD
+Roswell BlackRose Your maths is a bit off - each turn he had a 20-25% chance, yes, but in 8 turns he has a (4/5)^5 * (3/4)^3 = 13.8% chance of not getting a Crobat switch, so around an 86.2% chance of getting Crobat in at least one of these turns (better chances than a move like fire blast hitting lol).
But you are counting a move going on for 8 turns. If I used Guillotine 8 turns in a row which has 30% accuracy. Then I have a (7/10)^8 chance of it not landing. So it would be a 5.7% chance of not hitting a Guillotine. Which translates into 94.3% chance of landing a guillotine once out of 8 tries. That obviously makes it more reliable than Fire Blast too but that's nothing to brag about when you have 8 turns of probability adding up to that. And besides, my point was that Shady should've had a better strategy for Scarf Crobat than relying on fazing which as we can see is incredibly random and unreliable.
+Roswell BlackRose ah well I was going more on how you said 'overall, there's a 20-25% chance'. Phasing's not the best strategy by any means but to miss Crobat 8 times is still pretty damn unlucky considering overall, there's a bit more than 85% chance Crobat is phased in at least once.
***** Oh I see. Yeah, I know about the binomial probability, but what I was mentioning with the 20-25% chance was I just think it was not the best strategy to weaken Crobat with.
+Joseph Wong I didn't time stall. Below is the amount of turn I had LEFT after each move in the final 20 minutes of the battle. Shady, you should take a break, you look so exhausted! Get some rest, have some "me time", and the get back to us when you're feeling up to it. I promise that the ShadyPeople won't get offended, you seem tired and you need some rest.
+Rahsab Dassa (CyanCCG) Is this supposed to be sarcasm? If it is, I pity you. See, having an attitude like Shady is a stressful thing itself. Beeing a outgoing, cheering, enthusiastic person is exhausting over time, you need to recharge your batteries on your own and with your beloveds from time to time to be able to maintain that "yes to life"-attitude. Furthermore, think back of school. Did you enjoy presentations in front of 25 people? Have you maybe held a speech in front of a few hundreds yet? Now imagine, Shady gets watched by tens of thousands. A few hours a day. Every day of the week. Recorded for the whole world to watch at any given time. And yes, that's the passion Shady chose for a living and life. He loves what he's doing here, obviously, but that coin has a backside. Buddha once said "there's no fire like passion"- and that's it. You need some distance from your passion, especially if it is one that pulls you into the public, from time to time. This guy on the screen is still a fucking human and humans need some free space. So Shady, if you're reading this, I haven't actually had the same impression Dizzy had, but if you ever feel like taking a break (I mean, UCL, WI-FI-Battles, Let's Plays and now the GBA?That really is a lot.), feel free to do so. Care for yourself. We all love you regardless :)
+Bass Fight it didnt matter because the battle was so boring anyway. Im kinda happy the sound got corrupted because i wouldnt want to sit through an hour long stall fest
Mega Pinsir would've done so much work... Shady Shady, that was a good comeback in the normal phase, now is focusing in the GBA!! Thanks for being awesome as ever!
To me, this just came down to Shady's strategy not being effective enough, staying in one mode for too long. The Mankeys had a nice season, in which Shady has continued to develop, and Iike how he kept things entertaining even with post-comm.
Thank you for an amazing season Shady!! You played each game incredibly. Some game changing predictions, some bad calls. No matter what though it was always so entertaining to watch! Plus I got to see the awesome Mayem being played just about every game! Looking forward to seeing how the New York Mankeys do in the GBA. Thanks from all of your viewers!
When the timer runs out, the league should do an overtime round where they battle again but knock out the pokemon that were already killed in the last battle and play with the ones still left
We are proud of you, Shady. Your love for the shadypeople make you to comeback and be on the top four. You're an incredible person. #NewYorkMankeys Forever!!
I sure hope your throat is alright after having to speak so fast for commentating this battle! I sure respect that you took an extra 30 min to give us a complete commentary, thanks so much! It was still really enjoyable to watch! Not gonna spoil the result of this last battle of the season with your Nemesis, but I was hooked from start to finish =)
You definitely lacked offence in this battle, constantly switching and gaining initiative didn't even help you with anything. It's very sad to see you lose to Dan again, especially knowing that you could've won, hadn't you been overthinking like crazy. Sakura could've done so much more, Infernape died so unnecessarily, and again, knowing that a certain pokemon is your win condition, you just let it drop, although I remember you replying to my commentary after week 2 that you'd never do it again (: But that's alright, you played very well this season and only lost to a more experienced battler - Dan didn't get to the GBA finals last season and lose only once in 15 matches of the UCL thanks to sheer luck. If anybody knows that it's us, Shadypeople. Thank you Shady, that was one heck of a ride, and good luck in the GBA! #gomankeys
Congratulations on getting this far, Shady, and thanks for putting your all into your content and this season! You really took your losses seriously and doubled down to improve, and the result was a whole new Shady who strode confidently into the playoffs. It's been a hell of a ride. I can't wait for the GBL. :D #LetsGoMankeys #Friendship2

Accusing people of time stalling when you picked the wrong strategy is not cool.
He didn't accuse him of timer stalling He said it SEEMS like he's timer stalling Which it did, when it take you forever to send in a mon to beat a vaporeon when you have a raikou or a tangrowth to send in
9 ปีที่แล้ว +9
Juvia Lockser Shady was down a pokemon, the incentive to be proactive was on HIM but instead of putting pressure on aDrive, he decided to Roar and Dragon Tail spam for 20 minutes.
Again he didn't accuse him He just thought that Dan might be timer stalling Which it seemed like he was Although obviously from dans battle tou know that he's not
Thank you Shady for your participation with the UCL! As a proud supporter of the Bronx Beartics, I'm surprised with the effort that you put into all of your battles and I wish you great success in Season five of the GBA!
Shady i think this is one of those games where you let yourself overthink and panic which caused your defeat. But still was a fun and educational video. Keep it Shady!
What a garbo battle. Pushing for the timer stall is like relying in evasion. For real, the both of you are better than this battle. Just a lousy battle from both sides.
Jake38nine lmfao. Did I day it wasn't possible to beat? I'm suggesting that timer stalls are an underhanded way of winning a battle, and like shady said, he threw in the towel because of it. That's why evasion use is banned from competitive play. Take your meds.
+Vladiato There was no time stalling even slightest ... both players used moves way before timer went down, sometimes even too soon, shady stalled A LOT ... just how many recovers and D tales/roars he used ... dayum.
+Michael Yo no doubt, I'm not against stalling tactics. Using whirlwind and any move like it is fine, but paint it any way you want, the fact time ran out means this match womped. I honestly mean no disrespect to either player; quite the contrary, they're both extremely talented and skilled, and are capable of much more than this.
This is so bittersweet... I was scared from the beginning when you said "This is the last one" thinking about you messed all up spoiling the defeat... The turn with Infernape and Crobat on the field was crucial, I was literally shaking. Like you said, maybe you focused to much in lucky plays... I wanted to see Mega Pinsir in the playoffs, but it is what it is. Shady, congratulation for coming this far :) Now let's win the GBA. Let's go Mankeys!
Great match Shady people! Let's hope we don't see bitching in the comments because I already know it's gonna happy. I had half and half about this match
To be honest I'm not a huge fan of adrive.. But it isn't personal, it's because I hate seeing shady lose to him constantly. But people saying they are mad at adrive for stalling should watch his side. He didn't just stall the clock out. In all honesty shady lost from lack of offense. Sacking off infernape was the final nail. I'm a shady fan all the way, but don't just blindly hate on adrive just because he won. That isn't fair.
I honestly really enjoyed this battle on both sides. I went over and watched adrives first since it was live and then came over and watched shady's side. You got really unlucky with the roars/dragon tails which were a little ridiculous, but it was still really fun to watch :)
Great season Shady, I've really enjoyed your videos. Fwiw, watching Dan's video at no point does the timer cross his mind; IMHO you can tell he is just making the plays he feels are the best and most solid choices each time. Nothing wrong with thinking through your moves.
For someone who doesn't like hax, you sure put a lot of faith in roar and dragon tail to bring in the pokemon you need. Win or lose, it was one heck of a run for the Mankeys though! Great season Shady, it was a blast to watch.
I am very dissapointed in you shady....since you knew the crobat was choice scarf you just gave up your freaking win con! (infernape) I mean, what were you thinking man??? you could just let someone else take the hit, criple down the crobat and once it was gone, infernape would destroy the rest of his team...I don't know dude, it seems like you don't want to win against aDrive...
He literally said in the post com that he shouldn't have sacked the ape. Yelling at people for something they can't change isn't very kind lol. Best to just look forward to future matches where he can learn from his mistakes :)
+Than Htz I'm getting tired of Shady's chokes. First time vs dan in UCL, play offs vs Pokeman in GBA S4. It's just sad, we all se that he's frustrated. But it's his fault...however, Shady has to win something at some point :P. He literally everytime (except for one gba season i think) reaches play offs and doesn't win. He's better than Dan, Infernape literally destroys Dan's whole team , but he stays in. What's he thinking. But since he said he lost in first few seconds i wasn't as sad.
+Ionic Jolteon I'm not yelling at him bro I'm just dissapointed. It pains me to watch my all time favorite PokeTuber losing competitive matches by doing mistakes he could easily avoid. I know you are supposed to learn from your mistakes, but shady seems to be making the same ones against aDrive...again, no hate just dissapointment.
+Than Htz yeah, Shady choked. Dan's his goliath that's why. He couldn't handle the pressure. If only he write down his thought process, he'll be sure what he's doing.
Guy Alliance Every match I have seen these two have ended with Dan winning. Shady is an excellent battler but I think aDrive is just a bit better than him.
+RedxZone actually no... shady wasted like 20 minutes clicking stupid REcover and Dtail Roar .... so shady was one time stalling even if he didnt know ... but regardless ... dan was 5:2 vs shady at end of battle so even if timer didnt expire shady would lose even WORSe .. 5:0 EASY ... shady got BOODIED
+Michael Yo you literally go to every comment raging about shady, dude go home, make somes cookies or something, Jesus, such an angry little boy. You have 0 idea what time stalling is, i watched both videos and even if he wasnt doing it on "purpose" Dan was time stalling, and it was apparent
The switch game was so awesome. You played really great but losing infernape I knew how this game would end. Definetely one of the best battles. GO MANKEYS
You played so well during this season Shady :) Do try to rest a little, you look so tired, and don't let the comments beat you down, you provided excellent content, I was always excited about the weekend because of your UCL battles going up, so cheer up man :D
To all you Adrive haters.... He did not try to stall out the time because he's just like nappy where he thinks a lot and tries to make the best plays so if you hate adrive for "time stalling" then you also hate nappy. But seriously this is a friendly competition not a life or death game. Come on people! There's gonna be a 2nd season and probably more so don't worry shady will get better and will hopefully win but for now he's learning from this loss. But good game to the both of you guys for trying your best and entertaining me. This was a great and long match and I'm very satisfied
+Widespread99 For sure. I remember him being the first competitive wifi battler I watched on youtube way back in the early days of gen 4. I doubt the inexperience with the league format will hinder him much with the amount of general experience wifi battling he has.
But there's so many experience battlers in that league like last year's champ, MegaMogwai, there's aDrive, Shady, Nipps, CrimsonCBad, and many more very good battlers so you can't really say that yet it'll be a good season and Haydunn will put up a fight but I doubt he'll win
Shady, I'm glad you were able to make it to finals and you did very well the whole season. I think you had a chance in this match, but I think the timer just got to you~ You still played very well and good luck in the GBA! :3
I am not going to comment about post-commentary, infernape play or stall thing because there are too many comments about them already . I just wanna say that I admire you as a person and I don't want you lose your energy.happiness and faith in yourself. It made me sad that you didn't actually believed that you can beat him. David slayed the Goliath at the end then why you can't beat him? I want you to believe in yourself Shady and be happy. #NYMANKEYS To the GBA
I noticed at 10:00 that you said you had about 35 seconds left and said we could see it, but ever since you started using a facecam, we have never seen the timer for the turn and still can't, lol.
Ehhhhh can't say it was a good game tbh lol, but a loss is a loss and a win is a win. Good effort all around this season, Shady! I'm just so amazed at how many amazing TH-camrs (including you) I've discovered because of the UCL. Although your season didn't end on the best of notes, I would still consider it a success. Like you said, simply making it to the playoffs is an accomplishment, so yeah. Anyways, glad I got to meet your channel, and I'm definitely staying tuned for your other amazing vids! Here's to the best of luck for UCL season 2 and the upcoming GBA! :)
Best part of this battle: post commentary which allowed for 2x speed. I could not have watched the full hour without feeling robbed by the poor preformance from BOTH.
People have a wild hatred for anything remotely stall-like, and it doesn't make much sense. If you're in a position where you have the option to recover a weakened mon or risk letting it die, obviously the best play is always going to be to keep it healthy; that's like the entire purpose of using those kinds of Pokemon. Now the passive-ness of this battle wasn't necessarily optimal, I feel that both players would have had a better chance of winning without a need to have it go to timer by making better use of the offensive pokemon that they both had. A large problem with people hating on any bulky mons and calling it stall is that it implies that fat pokemon are unhealthy for the meta in terms of there not being anything you can do to stop them. In reality, there are more than enough stallbreakers and wallbreakers and momentum-grabbers that diminish a lot of the defensive capabilities that these pokemon would normally have. In this particular battle for example, aDrive wasn't making any use of Mega Metagross until deep into the battle and could have utilizing a Life Orb Sheer Force Conkeldurr instead of a bulkier AV variant (especially when he already had 2 other AV users lol) which would have given him something to lure Milotic and 2HKO it with Thunder Punch for example. And equally, Shady could have used his Infernape more aggressively (which there was plenty of opportunity to do since he had a lot of momentum-grabbers) as well as potentially running something like a double dance (Rock Polish + Swords Dance) Landorus-T which had a relatively good chance of cleaning up the game. Not to go out of my way to be critical of these battlers but it needs to be said that disliking these "stally" battles for the sake of them being stally (the battle isn't stall at all but we'll assume it is for the sake of the argument) doesn't hold much weight considering the players are abusing the fact that these passive pokemon are good in the matchup since neither player is effectiviely utilizing their own offensive threats with more optimal wallbreaking movesets or making more aggressive plays to deal with their opponents defensive backbone.
+Ellis Lusk aDrive didn't even utilize Mega Metagross, he used Toxic on the few turns it was in so I wouldn't say he utilized it at all...and it only got sent in because of either Dragon Tail or Roar, he never switched it in manually. I'm like you in saying I didn't understand why both Shady and Dan decided to wear and tear the opponents team rather than trying to get straight up KOs when they had more than enough opportunities to do so with the teams that they had coming into this battle, not just a few things they could've changed in team building.
+Raymundo Lopez Who is Brady and who is Manning? Hah! I have these vibes that say Shady doesn't care much for Dan. It's really thanks to Shady that Dan has increased his popularity on TH-cam via Cagelocke 1. Add in the fact Shady can't seem to beat Dan and you have a few reasons for some dislike, but that's none of my business. I can't help it that I'm so curious.
Well, this was a rough week, and you just couldn't quite conquer aDrive. It was a combination of unluckiness and one or two misplays that sealed your fate, so what can you do. Even so, this was a greet season, and I couldn't be prouder of our Mankeys!
Oh man, time pressure really got to you. 27:30 The logic of not wanted to risk Landordus because it takes on two of the remaining pokes applies double for not risking Ape, since Ape can outspeed and OHKO basically all of the remain pokes at the HP they were at. A shame that timer came into play this battle since you were playing so well up until then. The Transform/Roar Mew set was an unreliable set that really hurt you in the battle overall. A more standard set running STAB psychic (especially given the potential of having to face Conk and Crobat) would have probably won you the game. And given the Volt-Turn core on the team. U-turn seems like it would have been a good fit too since it does a much better job at punishing switches than Roar does (which was your original reasoning for running Roar). Besides the Mew set, really well built team. Which was well positioned to win. Really good game, well played on both sides.
Dan gets such underserved hate from us lot, Christ. I consider myself both a shady person and a member of the aDrive army, and seriously, the hate on Dan is really unnecessary. aDrive is a fantastic battler, reaching both finals of both the GBA and the UCL. It's Pokemon, Dan won, give the guy a break. Also, Shady, if you read this; you seem like you need to take a small break. Ever since part way through the Soul Link I've felt a different vibe from your videos, and I know it isn't your fault. Have a small time to reflect and things perhaps? We will understand if you do take a break. Keep it shady. :]
We had a good run; o recover from your first 3 weeks only to bounce back and reach the playoffs. It just wasn't to be but let's try and take the GBA by storm. Let's go Mankeys! :D
Keep doing what you're doing Shady! There's quite a bit of hate going on but look if you support a youtuber you support them through everything the ups and the downs. I understand that after some time a kind of expectation forms but we're human sometimes things don't always work out as we want and we can't always please everyone. Just keep going strong Shady, we are here because we love your content and we want to support you even when you have an off day or two :)
shady builded a team with 3 walls with any sort of status, and 3 choiced mons, the clock ran out because the walls would took so much more time to low everything for the late game sweep
Funny thing is I think your strategy would have worked if you had switched in to mew on that crobat, or pulled a good double, because once you started Volt-Turning, he was helpless to stop it, save for taking a big hit.
Man, you went into this battle with such low morale. It's kind of heartbreaking. We had a good run, Mankeys.
How do u know that? We didn't have a chance to see the live com lol
+Roswell BlackRose well I mean whether win or lose it isn't going to be as hype or energetic if it was live com. I mean even last week I couldn't tell if he was gonna win or not simply from the beginning.
+thekingbradable didn't you hear shady? He already had a low morale and wasn't expecting to win.
+Roswell BlackRose Mmm ok
+BlinkingEspurr Dan wasn't so excited either for what it's worth.
Shady, he is not our Goliath, in the fist match of the gba, he was lucky, in the second match he outplayed us. 13:52 - Dragon tailed Vaporeon into Tangrowth - 1/5 chance
15:32 - Dragon tailed Conk into Metagross - 1/5 chance

30:19 - Roared Conk into Mega Metagross - 1/4 chance

+muhd shazili Yeah, pale and exhausted by making TH-cam videos. That's a really distressing job...

Did you just spoil the outcome in the first few minutes..?
+Bass Fight You did! You said 'this is the last match'... Gotta watch out for that.
He sure did lol
I alway speak those little speech and just skip to the battle glad I did that
Yep. Dammit Shady, I avoid comments on these to not spoil the result and you blow it in less than 30 seconds.
Thanks for all your hard work this season on ucl shady, you did such a great job and watching and cheering you on every week has been really fun!
"I'm so used to losing to Dan" , wow the confidence.
If you were going to lose to anyone, it would've been aDrive. Good season, man.
This was a good epic match. GG to both aDrive and Shady
No matter what the result was, the Shady People are here to support you Shady, you are an inspiration to many of us and we are here for you.

I sure respect that you took an extra 30 min to give us a complete commentary, thanks so much! It was still really enjoyable to watch!
Not gonna spoil the result of this last battle of the season with your Nemesis, but I was hooked from start to finish =)
Ffs really shady. AGAIN!? And I was so excited for this
Everyone saying how bad of a battle this is...but, making it to the playoffs is an awesome achievement. congrats Mankeys!
You definitely lacked offence in this battle, constantly switching and gaining initiative didn't even help you with anything. It's very sad to see you lose to Dan again, especially knowing that you could've won, hadn't you been overthinking like crazy.
Sakura could've done so much more, Infernape died so unnecessarily, and again, knowing that a certain pokemon is your win condition, you just let it drop, although I remember you replying to my commentary after week 2 that you'd never do it again (:
But that's alright, you played very well this season and only lost to a more experienced battler - Dan didn't get to the GBA finals last season and lose only once in 15 matches of the UCL thanks to sheer luck.
He didn't accuse him of timer stalling
He said it SEEMS like he's timer stalling
Which it did, when it take you forever to send in a mon to beat a vaporeon when you have a raikou or a tangrowth to send in
Juvia Lockser Shady was down a pokemon, the incentive to be proactive was on HIM but instead of putting pressure on aDrive, he decided to Roar and Dragon Tail spam for 20 minutes.
He was trying to get the crobat in to get a kill and even out the score
That's why he kept roaring which was fair
Juvia Lockser And so was the result - shady's strategy failed and he lost. Man up and take the defeat, no need to accuse your opponent of stalling.
Again he didn't accuse him
He just thought that Dan might be timer stalling
Which it seemed like he was
Although obviously from dans battle tou know that he's not
SO HYPED 💪 #KeepItShady!
GG Shady! We had an incredible season and let's get em next year!
shady has such a rough time beating adrive in wifi battles, pretty humorous. Goes to show everyone has their achilles heel.
What a garbo battle. Pushing for the timer stall is like relying in evasion.
For real, the both of you are better than this battle. Just a lousy battle from both sides.
I could not agree more, and trust me, I lost sleep simply over the fact that the semi finals was a garbo battle, on both sides. :/
Jake38nine lmfao. Did I day it wasn't possible to beat? I'm suggesting that timer stalls are an underhanded way of winning a battle, and like shady said, he threw in the towel because of it. That's why evasion use is banned from competitive play. Take your meds.
+Vladiato Verlisfy was udercover coach hence the battle which was trash
+Vladiato There was no time stalling even slightest ... both players used moves way before timer went down, sometimes even too soon, shady stalled A LOT ... just how many recovers and D tales/roars he used ... dayum.
+Michael Yo no doubt, I'm not against stalling tactics. Using whirlwind and any move like it is fine, but paint it any way you want, the fact time ran out means this match womped. I honestly mean no disrespect to either player; quite the contrary, they're both extremely talented and skilled, and are capable of much more than this.
you gave it your best, man. can't expect any more than that.
Shadys genuin confusion on what move he picked builds the suspense so much 😂
Just so u know aDrive said he wasn't trying to timer stall
Let's go Shady!! I really don't care if you win or not but i will always be a proud Shady Person!
Win or lose I will chose to follow the New York Mankeys over the others because its just so much more entertaining to watch period.
Great match Shady people! Let's hope we don't see bitching in the comments because I already know it's gonna happy. I had half and half about this match
"Winning will feel great, losing will feel familiar" - Shady
To be honest I'm not a huge fan of adrive.. But it isn't personal, it's because I hate seeing shady lose to him constantly. But people saying they are mad at adrive for stalling should watch his side. He didn't just stall the clock out. In all honesty shady lost from lack of offense. Sacking off infernape was the final nail. I'm a shady fan all the way, but don't just blindly hate on adrive just because he won. That isn't fair.
Couldn't agree more.
+shadypenguinn I'll always be rooting for the mankeys win lose or draw, and I know you want us fans to stay positive!
Shady, you should be proud because amazing comeback and you did a great job with the NY mankey .
I honestly really enjoyed this battle on both sides. I went over and watched adrives first since it was live and then came over and watched shady's side.
You got really unlucky with the roars/dragon tails which were a little ridiculous, but it was still really fun to watch :)
The Mankeys didn't deserve to go out like that.
Great season Shady, I've really enjoyed your videos. Fwiw, watching Dan's video at no point does the timer cross his mind; IMHO you can tell he is just making the plays he feels are the best and most solid choices each time. Nothing wrong with thinking through your moves.
This is the hypest match of the season! Good luck to both of you! #LetsGoMankeys
Such a great game Shady, glad that we made it to playoffs.
lets go mankeys! Hyped for the rematch!
I'm so nervous I'm shaking this is so hype!!!!!!
You had a good run, Mankeys.
Great season shady! You'll get em next time
For someone who doesn't like hax, you sure put a lot of faith in roar and dragon tail to bring in the pokemon you need.
So thats like what??....5 matches these two have had with Dan winning?
aDrive is too good. lol
definitely getting rid of infernape and not going for knock off on conkeldurr where really bad plays tbh he choked pretty bad
Shady won there first match in gba season 3
Guy Alliance
Every match I have seen these two have ended with Dan winning.
Shady is an excellent battler but I think aDrive is just a bit better than him.
+RedDotMadness It's like the Brady Manning Rivalry. Dan is Brady and Shady is Peyton
.... Thats sad. Now im just hoping Joey will +6 aqua jet rampardos. :]
+MaestroGarchomp You dont even know that Joey won yet :p
+TheOPJellicent Im expecting him:]
+TheOPJellicent who knows his mew got frozen again.
Really sucks that you keep losing the live commentary, they make the videos so much better.
that was an amazing run Shady
You'd be lying if you said Dan wasn't playing the timer. He took forever as soon as the timer became an issue. Officially rooting against him.
Another salty fanboy
+RedxZone He always does lol, in every match I have ever seen him involved in. Gets real freakin old
The switch game was so awesome. You played really great but losing infernape I knew how this game would end. Definetely one of the best battles. GO MANKEYS
Great battle! I hope you get better luck next time
win or loose, you should be proud. 1-3 to 12-3 great work man :]
You played so well during this season Shady :) Do try to rest a little, you look so tired, and don't let the comments beat you down, you provided excellent content, I was always excited about the weekend because of your UCL battles going up, so cheer up man :D
Thank you so much, you don't know how much your comment helps me.
+shadypenguinn
SHADYPENGUINN ANSWERED ME OMAGAWWWWWWWD.
It's a pleasure Shady, I'm so glad my comment was able to help ^o^
Wish you wouldn't've said that it was our last game in the intro....
+Gabriel G. whoops
+Verlisify Oh hey Verlis! Weird to see you on Shady's channel...
+Gabriel G. The battle and spread of a timer stall naturally intrigued me
+Verlisify verlis can smell a chansey using soft-boiled from thousands of miles away
+Verlisify Haha fair enough. What PokeTubers do you follow?
Shady: Maybe I'll draft Gurdurr again next year!
Me: YEAH RIGHT -__-
This was an epic match on both sides
To all you Adrive haters.... He did not try to stall out the time because he's just like nappy where he thinks a lot and tries to make the best plays so if you hate adrive for "time stalling" then you also hate nappy. But seriously this is a friendly competition not a life or death game. Come on people! There's gonna be a 2nd season and probably more so don't worry shady will get better and will hopefully win but for now he's learning from this loss. But good game to the both of you guys for trying your best and entertaining me. This was a great and long match and I'm very satisfied
Conkeldurr is such a beast in this format! Great battle man but I think that the best won
It's ok Shady, just try to do your best and enjoy all the battles you are about to face :)
Good luck dude!
You panicked so bad over the time that he shook you up in this battle lol Awww shady.
Haydunn is going to win the gba hands down no one stands a chance
His team is good but he's unexperienced in the league format so i doubt it
aDrive is gonna run an amazing Mega Aggron.
+Widespread99 For sure. I remember him being the first competitive wifi battler I watched on youtube way back in the early days of gen 4. I doubt the inexperience with the league format will hinder him much with the amount of general experience wifi battling he has.
I hope haydunn wins, I watched him battle a few times and He is Unbelievable, Once it's not A stall fest, it should be a good final
But there's so many experience battlers in that league like last year's champ, MegaMogwai, there's aDrive, Shady, Nipps, CrimsonCBad, and many more very good battlers so you can't really say that yet it'll be a good season and Haydunn will put up a fight but I doubt he'll win
Extremely frustrating to watch. Don't expect to lose to Dan! Was really rooting for you to take the W.
Hey great season, Shady! That was one hell of a winning streak you had and I can't wait for next season...keep up the awesome videos
Nice UCL season Shady!
I agree completely
+Ellis Lusk aDrive didn't even utilize Mega Metagross, he used Toxic on the few turns it was in so I wouldn't say he utilized it at all...and it only got sent in because of either Dragon Tail or Roar, he never switched it in manually. I'm like you in saying I didn't understand why both Shady and Dan decided to wear and tear the opponents team rather than trying to get straight up KOs when they had more than enough opportunities to do so with the teams that they had coming into this battle, not just a few things they could've changed in team building.
stall is fuckin gay lol
+Ellis Lusk Stall is gay
BuzzLightyearHD
stall is comfortable with its sexuality
I always wonder what sort of relationship Shady and Dan have?
+Noodle King lol its like Brady and Manning
+Raymundo Lopez Who is Brady and who is Manning? Hah! I have these vibes that say Shady doesn't care much for Dan. It's really thanks to Shady that Dan has increased his popularity on TH-cam via Cagelocke 1. Add in the fact Shady can't seem to beat Dan and you have a few reasons for some dislike, but that's none of my business. I can't help it that I'm so curious.
+Noodle King They are football players.
Xavier, I meant is Dan/Brady and Shady/Manning? Or vice versa.
Noodle King whoever has the bigger forehead is manning.
Great season and I wish you the best of luck moving on
You did great shady :D a drive played a great game hes a good battlers :3 GG
the raikou switch into sticks was awesome
+Dutchdragon Dragonite he would have been a bad position if he voltswitched toph
You played well shady, you played well.
guys its a fun pokemon match just chill its pokemon its supposed to be for fun ! just let them have there match im sure they enjoyed it :)
Well, this was a rough week, and you just couldn't quite conquer aDrive. It was a combination of unluckiness and one or two misplays that sealed your fate, so what can you do. Even so, this was a greet season, and I couldn't be prouder of our Mankeys!
We we're so close but lose win NEW YORK MANKEYS 4 LIFE
take a break shady! it's OK!
Dear Shady people: Just because Shady says he THINKS Dan is timer stalling, doesn't mean he WAS timer stalling. Why is everyone so quick to judge? >.>
Well, shit. You did great, Shady. Hopefully you'll win the GBA
Letting infernape go down was definitely the misplay. Infernape put so much pressure on Dan's team to where nothing would be a safe switch for him
Good game shady, well played even u lost
that was a tough loss but still a great season!! can't wait to watch the Mankeys in the GBA
live commentating is so much more fun to watch
It was still very hype, I'm sorry for the mankey's, good luck in the GBA!
Shady you will defeat aDrive one day! Do not give up!
Also on congratulations on making it this far! =D I will always be cheering for you
shady builded a team with 3 walls with any sort of status, and 3 choiced mons, the clock ran out because the walls would took so much more time to low everything for the late game sweep
Funny thing is I think your strategy would have worked if you had switched in to mew on that crobat, or pulled a good double, because once you started Volt-Turning, he was helpless to stop it, save for taking a big hit.
