Iceland is always incredible. Yes, sometimes it can really beat you up as the weather is rough. But as a landscape photographer - or really any kind of photographer - Iceland is always an incredible place to create images.
Today, we're starting the Iceland landscape photography vlog series and I'm so excited about it. We're heading west from Reykjavik on our way to the north of the country photographing some classic photo locations, and some more hidden gems.

Hope you enjoyed my hometown Grundarfjörður. It's so funny thinking these falls and the lake were our playground when we were younger, we used to jump into the waterfall all the time and now they are constantly surrounded by photographers hehe. Bestu kveðjur frá Íslandi.

I've been waiting for these Iceland videos as it is always fun to watch you try to pronounce Icelandic names! I'm loving those landscapes especially with all the snow and ice! It's amazing how much snow there is in Iceland right now compared to last year. It's been a mild winter in Michigan this time around, so I'm thinking Iceland probably stole a lot of the snow from Michigan this year. Awesome content!
Yeah, you can have the snow back if you want it. Lol

Not watched you for a while. But I wanted to see the snow you look and sound well. Life must be treating you good. I defo need to do island. I am off to Faroe Islands next month so I am going to get one epic trip in my lifetime.

Wow! Great Stuff! I'll be there March 25-31. Hopefully get some great shots like yours. Hopefully the weather will be a little better, but it's a crap shoot in Iceland. Cheers!
Hate to say it Brendan, but you can still damage the vegetation (even under snow cover). Best practice... just stay within the boundaries.
How do you travel with your 3 legged thing Winston? Do you put it in your checked baggage ? I'd think it would be too be for a personal item or carry on

@@BrendanvanSon If ur still there, you gotta try the 6 hour glacier hike, that almost killed our group 😂 Was so glad to see the northern lights last week around Hella too, it was surreal. Maybe you can release a northern lights tutorial, would love to see how to edit these images. I had a hard time capturing it anyway lol

Or like when the wind blows in the smell of dried fish from Keflavik.
Is that the shark they have process because it’s poisonous if you don’t.

I was driving near Skogafoss early February, some crazy wind gusts blew a bus off the road in front of us and then smashed 3 of our windows while we were in the car. Craziest weather I’ve experienced in one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. Jealous of your 10 days there!
Insane, isn't it. On my IG today I posted our van moving while parked. It slid about 3 feet.
Brendan van Son Yeah it’s proper scary man, we had to take shelter on the bus 😂, but it’s part and parcel of Iceland in winter I think. Just got to respect the place
