im a month late, but it's actually probably because Tyler is self-taught. It is generally regarded as a bad habit to look at your hands when you're playing, because for many professional (especially classical/orchestral) musicians they need to keep their eyes on the sheet music in front of them. but for music like this it doesn't really matter, and of course he has the music memorised so he doesn't have sheet music anyway
