I watched this innocently when i was a kid for the thrill of deception and to know the trick. Today i watch it for a different reason. Narrator and the ladies.
It'd be hilarious if they performed this onstage without a camera and the audience could see the magician running around with spotlights on him like shown here.
It would be like “ The incredible Burt Wonderstone”.. if you have not seen that movie watch it. It’s funny and there is a scene where he blows an illusion like that
So simple really...yet so effective Bravo I loved it . And bravo women assistants for all the hard work and practice you put in to make the choreography and timing perfect so that the illusion would work. STANDING OVATION FROM DAVID IN NYC
I love how they say there's no camera tricks, when the whole thing turns out to be one giant camera trick. It only works because the camera isn't focused on the back when the magician and his assistants run to and from the door. I also like the narrator. He just has the right amount of cynicism to all of this dumb hocus pocus to make the whole thing work. if this is magic, then the average film with all of its edits and camera angles is the greatest magic trick of all time.

Always remember, a camera can never give you a constant full view of your surroundings. A 360 pan around an object is more like a 100 degree plane rotated around the object. That and you have a giant door blocking the view of the camera and there's a big warehouse to run around in.
The trick would've been easier if instead of using a body double, the masked magician, when he walked through the door, could've waited for the camera then sneaked around the whole door contraption ti the other side and so on. But with the girls, I'm not sure if they could do the same thing since there were 4 of them
