I'm a strength user almost exclusively and honestly bro you should try full dex. This weapon, milady, and the great katana are all ridiculously fun. Either way you can always go back.
Man these vids lowkey get me to keep playing Elden ring I have about 900 hours and I still have fun with the game but trying new op builds lowkey keeps the game fun for me

Idk about insane damage but ive been having a lot of fun with the horned warriors greatsword since they just buffed the ash with the storm set up and rakshasas armor i use the divine beast helm instead of head just for the look but it is better in some cases the storm buff is still 4% but the flask debuff is 9% instead of 11% u only get 3 levels to dex n strength but thats not too big a deal and with the consecutive hit set up with blood sucking cracked tear plus ironjar aro just so u cant get smacked out since endure wont last long enough for u to do the whole ash combo its actually so fun and does some crazy damage ive also swapped blood sucking tear for the crimson sapping tear just so i can really sit in the bosses face only thing ive found to dislike is that the ash doesn't do a lot of poise damage but u can basically stun lock anything that gets staggered havent tested it yet but i think something similar if not better could be achieved with storm hawk axe if the storm buffs affect thunderstorm
Might be able to improve with the Ironjar Aromatic, gives you 40% damage negation and 45 status resist at the cost of becoming heavy and 60% weak to lightning.
Good point! You could even use the "Verdigris Discus," which gives you more power the heavier you are. I haven't tried it yet, but you've given me a great idea
double slash is good if you’re aiming for procs but The weeb cutter skill has crazy HA and can trivialise knight sized enemies (or lower including malennia)
try the great katana with war ash double cut on icy I think it's stronger because of the frost debuff and the war ash ensures much faster attacks, it could well be that at lvl 150 it makes more sense to set war ash to valuable and enchant the weapon with blood flames, test it it times
I dunno. My bleed build was super strong. In SotET it seems like it hardly ever procs and I end up with a useless lord of blood trinket 90% of the time. Feels like smaller enemies die before it procs and even larger enemies it procs right before they die. I have been in a lot of undead areas early on, are they resistant?
Im currently trying to kill that finger boss so i can receive my katana of night. I'll try this, but the window for damage isn't great. I'll just try to iron jar it, lol
@@DJIronChef yeah I get what u mean but even if they increase just alittle bit, comparing with the normal katanas, GK has more poise damage, reach, and hyperarmour + the added speed you can proc bleed faster so it’s gg. Unless people want to cosplay they will never use the normal katanas lol

I refuse to use this thing. The weapon looks cool, but the aow just looks too dumb. Having the two hand plus being able to put aows on the default great katana is so much better.
It absolutely isn't, Rakshasa's Great Katana was the first weapon I killed him with. I've been rematching him with different weapons and there are a bunch that work great against him. Bastard's Stars, Bloodfiend's Arm, Leda's Sword, Bloody Helice, Moonveil, and plenty of others.
I try a lot of these builds and end up going back to strength and mega monk, stagger is just so powerful to give up

This is the best weapon vs humanoids and npc invaders the poise damage of weed cutter just pacify them and the range chef's kiss i love this weapon
Great Katana with double slash do more damage and it's faster.. and procs blood in 2 hits
Sounds like a good setup but you don't get the Weed Cutter chain cast or the Rakshasa's really good R2 stabs.

On first run I did with Tiche and Blasphemous Blade.
Does this change also affect the speed of the boss fight too?
