This game is a literal diamond in the rough. I don't know how it isn't more popular than it is. This game should be known throughout the world! If it were it anime, it would blow the competition away, which it more than does so already as a game.
Fang is an interesting case of 'brilliant but lazy'... and by brilliant, I mean, he actually is surprisingly heroic and hardworking with plenty of magnetic qualities... When he *isn't* being a bum.... He's got a real knack for drawing ppl to his side and keeping them there... for one reason or another. Like, I like how they expanded on Effoile and her fixation on Fang make *WAY* more sense as instead of being vague and implied about it... she legit had a yandere insta crush on our jerkass hero. And let's face it... he has a rather motley crew... that gets weirder by the route... ...Like Marianna. I actually liked her, so seeing her as the finsl boss of one route and a party member in another route, was pretty sweet.
I honestly like that they actually changed the vanilla route to fix the characters closer to how they are in the newer routes as well. They modify Sherman a little and focus more on his obsessions and desires. Marianna is given a lot more characterization in the vanilla route as well and Ethel is present from early in the story this time. They are subtle changes that help improve the story and honestly make the original game feel like an early-development product instead of a finished project.
Yea, he seems to serve as that "party cornerstone" quite nicely. And despite having nothing unique, they manage to nail his character development during the "first" rewind - we get to see that he really had huge regrets which pushed him to change, just so he could make the right choices and save those he truly cared about. I felt the "Evil Godess" route a little bit weird and forced, but hey Marianna turned out to be high tier waifu and her ending had way better chemistry than original ones did.

So, did you sleep through the fact this opening has actual animated scenes (instead of the simple dry use of the in-game models)? You can argue whether the song is better since it's subjective,but objectively this opening has actual budget put into it. The last one was strung together with their character art and stock battle sprites simulating movement and action.

They are responsible for developing Fairy Fencer, Omega Quintet, Death end re;Quest, Dragon Star Vanir, and Arc of Alchemist. They are also currently developing the sequel to Death end re;Quest. I'm oh so sure this is shocking to you but companies have separate teams for separate projects.
