I enjoyed the original version, yet kinda loathed how easy it was. I was hoping the harder difficulty would make it more satisfying, but I had concerns about any bad grinding. Your review helped confirm that. I still want to play it for the altered scenes and new routes though.

i want to add that u can add multiple swords in map shaping to get more bonuses which will decrease grinding alot, however for dlc dungeons it will take a long time anyway. this is based on the pc version

I played it snd i have to say that the dificulty csn be changed any time you wanr in the settings. Lowering it lowers ebemy stats making encounters and bosses easier wirh out any grind. While on the opposite end the higher dificulty give more exp so ylu csn bump up to hard to grind and then lower it to have a better chance at winning.
besides if blanc represents nintento then she would more famly friendly then the others. but nintendo is moving twards the rear area instead of the chest aea. so expece some growth blanc.

You know an antagonist being evil just for 'shits and giggles' isn't necessarily bad, right? Not every evil character needs an elaborate Q.Q backstory or deeper reason to do what they do so people can empathize with them to some degree. Some people really are just fucked up in the head. There's psychopaths in real life who kill people just for shits and giggles, for example. Also, I didn't think Fang started out as that much of an asshole either. He just wants to live his life his way, which he's entitled to. I found him refusing to do all Eryn instantly expected of him and having his own free will pretty damn reasonable and much more realistic than a protag just being like: 'oh ok, guess this is my life now.' Expecting someone to instantly be a slave to your will is more asshole-like in my opinion. I'd definitely rebel against that as well. Besides, he was led to believe his wish would come true if he'd pulled out the sword, nothing more, nothing less. It's pretty understable he assumed when Eryn appeared she was like a genie from a lamp, so he'd asked for food as that was his wish. Only to find he somehow got roped into having to give up his freedom and dedicating his life to this Fencer stuff that he did not consent to at all. I'd be annoyed too!
I gave up SO FUCKING HARD ON THIS GAME TOWARDS THE END I STG! I bought this game on PS4 a few months ago, to pass time while my wifi was down (since I couldn't play Victory II) And towards the end, there was a boss that I could not beat, which made me GIVE THE FUCK UP!
