For 2 reasons 1. The Angiris Council found humanity to be abominations including Tyreal. 2. Tyreal would've been corrupted far faster than Marius and Tal Rasha before he could even make it to the hellforge. Angels while having high resistance to corruption aren't immune to it and with their 1 track mindsets it's only a matter of time before they break look at Maltheal and Izual as examples.

This is quite reminicient of The Raven by Edgar Alan Poe. The only difference is that the bird now talks back and torments him even more. Kudos to the writer and alas! this great narrator. 🎉
This Diablo Immortal cinematic is so freaking epic to have to see Kulle as still one of the good guys fighting side by side with Tal Rasha against Baal, and the game also made players experience firsthand how that battle went down.
Now that Mephisto is back in Sanctuary, he may begin to corrupt Nyrelle, while Diablo and Baal likely have their own plans to return. Could this have been the Prime Evil’s plan all along? After all, Lilith was the greatest threat they’ve ever known. At least this gives us lots of enemies to battle in future Diablo 4 updates!
Something tells me that the only Prime Evil we will fight in Diablo 4 updates will be Mephisto since the main storyline revolved around him & Lilith. I’m betting we will fight Mephisto, only to end the storyline with Diablo (& or Baal) returning either within a soulstone or free & strong. Thus continuing the franchise into Diablo 5… giving them an easy set up for it without too much thinking & effort. I really hope not, since the cycle will forever continue it seems, but that’s my guess!
If Tal Rasha willingly volunteered, then why was he being forced into that stone (1:58)? I doubt he volunteered. More like he was condemned for being powerful, just like how Kulle was murdered for being too powerful.
that's a good point tbh. but i figure it could be explained much like medieval surgery or trying to amputate someone's leg without the use of anesthetics, the person will struggle even if they agree to the procedure because its quite painful, and the brain's natural reaction is to fight to prevent it, agreement be damned. its actually kind of scary that the brain ultimately supersedes one's own conscience and choice. the "you" that makes you, you, no longer get a say in it, the brain itself takes 100% control. this is also why only a few people can perform true self mutilation, because there's something fundamentally wrong with their brain. some kind of error that allows the individual to override this phenomenon. now, i am no medical expert or brain surgeon, but i would imagine that this is what occurs. the brain that makes you, you, is actually only _allowing_ that to be the case, but once your life (and thus the brain) is threatened by danger, it will kick into self-preservation mode and essentially corrupt your ability to make decisions on your own. its truly fascinating to think about.
Self preservation is a natural reflex, volunteering to be bound forever to wrestle with a powerful demon obviously isn't good for your health. And Baal's lies were particularly nasty, because there was always a grain of truth to them. Kulle did prove himself to be a shady guy, but not sure when it really started. Horadrim got involved into their own petty conflicts over time and disbanded. No other alternative was developed to improve Baal's prison. It also doesn't look like Tyrael paid frequent visits here, though clearly he could blink in at moment's notice when required.
@@masterexploder9668 yeah kind of a dick move by the horadrim to just be like "oh well, i guess that's the best we can do" instead of continuously pursuing a more permanent and less risky solution. as we can see, all it took for their masterplan to turn into a world ending catastrophe was one opium addict in the wrong place at the wrong time, and with Tyreal being distracted by the wanderer, all the stars were aligned perfectly for this to happen.
seems like a tad of an understatement to equal "eternity" to "years and years" which makes it sound like there's going to be reprieve after like a decade or two, when really, this struggle would go on forever if left untouched by a certain idiot's hand. Marius's ignorance didn't just doom the world, he effectively nullified everything that Tal'Rasha had done and all those years of immense torture was essentially for naught as a result. if i was Tal'Rasha, i would be thankful for the relief from the anguish, but deep down i would be pissed that my many years of unbearable torment (which must have felt like a hundred human lifetimes) ultimately meant nothing... and then of course there is the fact that by freeing him, Marius straight up killed Tal'Rasha in the process too. and then the idiot ends up in an asylum somewhere and HANDS THE STONE BACK TO BAAL on top of it all in the end. if he had just died from an OD of copium in that drug den The Wanderer found him in, none of this would have ever happened. Tyrael would have defeated the lone wanderer inside that chamber and the world would have been saved. but of course, that would mean we get no game to play, so i can see why blizzard needed a useful idiot to make the story happen. what i have always wondered is; what convinced Marius that pulling that stone out was a good idea in ANY way, shape or form? like, you see a literal angel fighting your very questionable companion who only days/weeks prior to this, burned down a drug den after summoning a horde of demons and undead and killed everyone inside and you STILL go ahead and pull out the stone?! Marius deserved everything he got and worse for what he did. in fact he was lucky his death was as quick as it was, which might have been the only ounce of mercy Baal ever showed anyone. Baal wasn't lying when he referred to the manner of Marius's death as a "reward".
I mean Marius was pretty weak and easily corrupted. He spent a lot of time around Diablo, so I'm sure he was under his influence. The guy was having wild dreams and hearing voices, so I don't think he was in his right mind. He was compelled to follow Aiden, despite everything that happened at the den. I mean look at the state he was in at the asylum, the man's whole mind was shattered. I'm not defending his actions at all, but imagine being a frail old mortal tied up in the affairs of demons, and seeing the things he saw, it was probably fuckin crazy. I know he's really just a plot device, but seeing his side of the story, from the perspective of a basic elderly human, is a nice reminder that not everybody is a glorious hero making all the right decisions all the time.
@@Eight-Bites Marius was not old when he was first being manipulated. he might have been in his 40's or 50 tops, but not demented... now he did smoke a crap ton of opium when he was hiding away from his dreams in that tavern the wanderer finds him in, so maybe that had a part to play in his poor decision making on top of diablo's manipulation, but the idea that he was demented in the flashback sequences is wrong.

Angels while having high resistance to corruption aren't immune to it and with their 1 track mindsets it's only a matter of time before they break look at Maltheal and Izual as examples.
Dude that's all you talking? Damn, I agree with Bilbo! You've got the chops on voice acting fo' sho'! I was just wondering on what the story on Tal Rasha was about but ended up watching/listening to the whole thing. That's really impressive, good job man.
Cheers, and keep on keepin' on, eh!
Oh wow, didn't even realize it was just uploaded! Love your vids ❤
Baal accidently stumbling upon the Cow Level 💀
These days instead of the cutscene at the end Blizzard would have put notes and visions all over the floor interrupting your skeleton smashing.
When you realise BAAL is depression
The narration on this is great!!! I really do hope they hired you for later games, sir!!! Great job!!
Tal Rasha could have pushed back with sarcasm.
This is quite reminicient of The Raven by Edgar Alan Poe. The only difference is that the bird now talks back and torments him even more. Kudos to the writer and alas! this great narrator. 🎉
Love the Tristram music. So nostalgic. I remember being a kid everytime I hear it.
This Diablo Immortal cinematic is so freaking epic to have to see Kulle as still one of the good guys fighting side by side with Tal Rasha against Baal, and the game also made players experience firsthand how that battle went down.
Wow an entire 40plus minutes for torturing one human being. Tal Rasha must have been pretty darn powerful for that.
Baals true face is really well made. Looks like a really sinister and horrifying demon.
Dude, this was incredible.
This is an amazing audio/video telling of this story.
the rarest rare item of Diablo 2 --- Tyrael's Might
the armor of ancient Marcedonia general.
That music brings back memories and your voice lol doing good.
Bloody good job on this one big fella. You have an amazingly captivating voice.
Incredible storytelling skills! Keep up the good work!!!
Awesome job!
Thanks for the video!
Many thanks!
seems like a tad of an understatement to equal "eternity" to "years and years" which makes it sound like there's going to be reprieve after like a decade or two, when really, this struggle would go on forever if left untouched by a certain idiot's hand.
Tyrael would have defeated the lone wanderer inside that chamber and the world would have been saved.
but of course, that would mean we get no game to play, so i can see why blizzard needed a useful idiot to make the story happen.
what i have always wondered is;
what convinced Marius that pulling that stone out was a good idea in ANY way, shape or form?
like, you see a literal angel fighting your very questionable companion who only days/weeks prior to this, burned down a drug den after summoning a horde of demons and undead and killed everyone inside and you STILL go ahead and pull out the stone?!
Marius deserved everything he got and worse for what he did. in fact he was lucky his death was as quick as it was, which might have been the only ounce of mercy Baal ever showed anyone. Baal wasn't lying when he referred to the manner of Marius's death as a "reward".
So true💯 RIP Tal Rasha Fuck Marius
Happy to see new diablo lore videos again!
This was so good. your voice acting was spot on. I would love if they did something like this in POV of Aidan during after he defeated Diablo up to the point he was fully consumed.
Agreed!!! That transformation was all encompassing. This guy would be the perfect person to create it too.
So, Tal Rasha's last act of defiance, of giving Baal a taste of his own medicine... Hell Bovines.
Baal had found the Secret Cow Level. Baal did not appreciate.
This was a fun story time with Dash
@Dark LORE Dash question is there a book similar like this about the dark wanderer, i would love (wish if it doesnt exist) to hear this kinda narrative of the wanderer to see how much is aiden and how much is diablo during the journey
That was so good. Thanks for making that.
Baal: you know I am going to destroy your soul eventually. Why do you persist in thwarting me?
Tal Rasha: I get to show off my constitution AND piss you off at the same time. Win win
Tal Rachad
Tal Rasha is the definition of hero.
Superb video right here. Thanks!
Dude has the best voice for dark lore
"This is the brutal, UNTOLD truth... which was explored during the short story..." Huh?
what kind of galactic super cluster size of balls one must have to send baal to the cow level?
D2 dark and gloomy
D3: butterfly kills Cain. *uninstalled
D4: gets drunk at bar and goofy dances *uninstall demo
🤣🤣🤣 I like that part but imagining it enrage someone is hilarious
Did u not finish the bar dance scene, Kenny?😂
@@RaxoFilms Yeah my friend convinced me to play the server slam. It was a good story and there was a lot of call backs from D2.
remember this.
Diablo --- the military evil born from east asia
Mephesto --- the education evil born from europe
Ball --- the agricultrue evil born from north africa
Lilith --- the original prophet of babylon and the administrator of orphanage&commercial but defined as chaostic by modern logics.
oh my god i didnt even think of it, neyrelle is going to end up putting the soulstone in her self to try and bind mephisto more effectively in the next story expansion for diablo 4.
Really love this video Dash. Great job and man those feels, you can really capture those emotions. Keep up this work you make me wanna hear more characters stories.
But quick question, where did you get the info to do this? Was it a thought you had or is it from diablo lore books?
OK man, I gotta ask!! How long did it take you to master those nearly perfect renditions of the voices in the game?! You captured them so well that, for a few minutes there, I thought you may have had the original voice actors come in for a segment!
As so many others have said, WELL DONE! Need more of this great stuff!
Wow, thank you so much! I will be honest, it was more just listening to Baal for years. Only did an hour of pre prep so highest compliment! Appreciate it
Awesome story telling! I'm playing D2R while listening to this haha
I love this quest on Immortal, green drops 👏
This was freaking great!
Thank you, kind sir!
Dammit, Marius!
great video man . its like an audiobook by blizz
All I can think is: These are some of the best and brightest minds in the world and NONE of them could see what a really bad fucking idea this was? You're imprisoning an immortal Hell-God inside the mortal corruptible body if a human being. Yeah, like that'll be a permanent solution.
Bro I need more videos like this. I’ll pay for this type of content ffs
Very well done. I need something happy now lol.
Magnificent. Though I especially loved the addition of the ccl
You should do a video of each of the human nations of Diablo and a ranking of who is the weakest to strongest.
always here for a good Dash Lore Video 🔥
