to me Kool Keith one of the few emcees capable of abstract thought. with imagery and flow, hearing critical beatdown you can tell he was pivoted for success from the word go. although his work is not as incedinary as his earlier 90s output, his profilic appearances on many commericial/leftfield artists matching with possibly one of the many sampled voices throughout various dance and hip hop songs is just a testament to his unappreciated greatness.

This is my favorite Mc of all time .he's not only an o.g but speaks truth to the labels .exposes the fraudulence in the music industry ,rhymes but is funny with the word play .his beats are odd off beat sometimes but again like rock n roll ,you have grimey .He goes from one character to another doesn't stay in m.c .mode has fun makes strip club jams .etc .he's a legend .he'll have a double look a like walking around in the crowd at his performances. Will hand out zip lock bags with caprisuns and chicken .to make Up for showing up late to the performance, hand out xxx calendars .he's the best performer because of that to me .

Next Plateau was jerking their artists. Polygram is a MAJOR major. But I get you -- Next Plateau had a hip hop roster, and they got left back a bit at the major label.
He was displeased with some of the artist being represented and probably wished they would reach out to him and other bronx mcs. Plus the whole red tape thing is real....usually the hot artist or more current rappers get such treatment rather then pioneers who helped build the hiphop movement. I see where he was coming from
