I did a couple of TGATB science with my two this last year. I loved them but also did ACE PACES the rest of the year because I also work and only had so much time to teach. I really want to do more units (because they are so fun) with my 6th and 8th grader. I feel the “push” because so many use BJU/apologia beginning in 8th grade for science. I feel like I want one more year before high school to introduce many science topics before having to worry with beginning science credits. Could you see yourself using TGATB science for 8th? (Plus I’m hoping their HS Biology will come out in time for her 9th grade year 😂).
I am not sure for 8th. Normally, I think I would probably have my 8th or 9th graders do their own science study and I would continue to do science with my younger kids. Since my oldest is autistic, I am not sure what will work best for him yet. I do like that TGATB science units are simple enough that he could probably go through everything by himself.
