Hello there! Good news CA just confirmed Rome total 1 Remastered and will be ready on April 29 Rejoice sons of rome I really hope they remaster Medieval total war 2. We need a remaster, not a MTW3
Did this once on a village. Stacked loads of soldiers on the enemy's side but surrounded the village with elephant artillery, about time all my units had run out of ammo save the commander, the entire village was on fire and all but ten enemy soldiers were left alive. Can't help but say that if it was real I'd be moved by the enemy's tenacious desire to hold that village till the last man
Im still playing medieval 2 and il be honest, this is why i love fire arrows. Also good thing the elephants are quite expensive in 10k, well thats untill the host adds more then 10k florins and then the timurid player just spams them alongside cavalary. Me maining byzantine: well shit.
@@monarchist1633 Well there are kind of "easy" ways. Javelins do a pretty good job. Missile cav or ligth artillery like serpentines or ballista are also usefull at shooting those big frames. But getting those things to work is not a thing I would call easy, especially against an experienced player who keeps them protected until he can use them against your infantry...

They would, but this is a game so the developer had to make sacrifices of realism for better gameplay. Wouldn't be fun to take a bunch of expensive heavy cavalry to only shoot once before they start panicking.
Wouldn't elephant be scared of the loud noise? I have heard of many battles where elephants panicked and stumbled their own men because of noises from the Cannon
Mughals trainer elephants always next to shooting drills. They also had musketmen and cannons mounted, altough cannons were much smaller similar to the ones Persians mounted on camels. So yes, it is possible to train elephants to get used to the sound of gunfire.

That's one well-built and stable Bridge...
Yeah man, considering the amount of punishment it took.

They don’t make them like they used to.
Nothing screams I'm bored louder than loading up medieval 2 and making a bridge battle where you either command nothing but missile units or a phalanx
Bruh that's the first thing 12 year old me when he first played the game :P
Yes it can get boring pretty fast but the beauty of the game is that it makes you do bridge battles from time to time again.
How's that bored, it's probably the first thing I do when I download a new total war game

I swear every time I see that banner I start shaking who knew three red circles could be so terrifying
Imagine being on the ground as one of the soldiers crossing that bridge haha
The Tumurids were terrifying as they march westwards like a shadow covering the world. But at least I was safe on the British Isles and America
They were terrifying to the Islamic world, especially the Persians lol
I learnt to cheese. Stood near mountains. Put some croosbows at the top of a cliff. Let timurids come.
English Longbows still outrange them, and flaming shot spooks elephants

We need remake of Medieval 2. With same mechanics, but in modern quality.
Seconded!
At that point they should just make Medieval 3
Then let's hope that Rome Remastered does well.
God no. Mordern CA will just make saladin a single entity unit that brakes down walls.

If only they built city walls the same way they build the bridges.
Strongest unit in Medieval 2: That bridge
I haven't noticed until you mentioned it. Nice catch!
Alternatively, one unit of Rome: Total War Spartans could hold that bridge against the same army twice over.
It’s like a machine gun but with cannon balls
Exactly, and louder too!
