  • Using the Grainfather brewing system and their website I took a brew recipe created by another user and adjusted it to suit what grains I could get my hands on.
Here is a link to Grainfather's Recipe site:

Great looking brew day mate. A friend has just bought a Grainfather. I might point him to your channel to help him see a run through brew. Cheers Dino

Brillant video. Great set up I can see your enjoying it. You can be quite the comedian at times lol. Just a tip if your interested .1.077 is quite a big beer so maybe think about 2 packs of yeast rehydrated in100mils of cooled sanitised water 20 minutes before pitching. Cheers

That's one of my fav yeast your using here, I also love the one in the
Purple pack WB 06 they make any stout or plain beer something special ,
Just wondering have u tried brigalow home brew yeast.
It's Aussie it's a cheap brand u get at IGA, its so quick starts rockin and Rollin,
Within 2 hours of pitchin, has wonderful flavor of fruits, all for $1.50.

I will have to have a look at that one. I never shop at IGA so it would be an opportunity for me to get in there. Thanks for the advice.

@@SimpleHomeBrew yeah I never use to go to iga, until someone told me they have half an asle of home brew stuff and cheap.
Brigalow liquid malt $13 00 bucks,
Light malt 1 kg $7.00 they have every brand coopers, Morgan's all reasonable prices. Worth a look.

I just found your brewing videos. Quite honestly the Grainfather is quite an impressive system, but doesn't impress me enough to spend $1000 on.

I must say I feel the cost is way too expensive for what it is. An anvil or a Brewzilla can be almost half the price and do the same thing really. It's my only regret.

Hey man, I just clicked subscribe. I'm interested to see the grainfather in use. I still use a gravity fed system with insulated mash tun.
I was getting quite concerned when I saw your grain filling up and still so much more to put in lol
Will keep a look out for future videos. Check out my channel for my setup 👍

Thanks for the sub! I have been concerned about that as well. It was my first big brew I have learned to reduce my measurements for the future brews.

Your counter flow chiller is upside down

Um, it wouldn't connect if was upside down.😄

@@MottercarAre you talking about the wort tube or the water tube? The chiller came to me set up in that configuration so I went with it. I don't think it matters as it still works great. Thanks for noticing.

The chiller has a little pipe in the middle that should fit in the hole.

Hi Fabian, it only does it at the start. It certainly is not an issue with this system. Cheers Pierre
