If you have a saw as in the last method why don't you just saw through the padlock hasp🤔
I tapped the side of my lock and it actually opened!!!
If you put the lock in in a correspondingly large screw-top glass jar and fill it with acetone, close the lid and leave it to stand overnight, it will work again because acetone dissolves the adhesive. Also very helpful if you have glued 2 fingers together.

Why cut a battery apart to make a shim to use with the lock - a standard drinks can would do - a lot easier too
