I hear ya, Dexter. I just smoked pot and drinking socially up until I was about 25 or so, when I had 2 surgeries pretty much back to back. Long story short, about 14 years later I'm still trying to get clean from opiods/opiods. I've had 3 hard OD's that required ambulances to be called and im only alive because of narcan and hospital stays, once I was in a coma for 2 weeks on a ventilator until I finally woke up. I am thankful to be alive at all, let alone still be able to walk and have all my facilities about me. Its still a war every day for me. Listen to Big Herc, he's preaching the good word!

But you know, with all of the coffee drinkers, casual alcoholics, cigarette smokers, prescription pill poppers and adrenaline junkies, it's not surprising to me at all. Everyone's trying to get high on life, somehow. The only one that scares me is the prescription meds, the ones you can get, legally, at virtually any age. Something doesn't feel right about teenagers taking antidepressants and sleeping meds, let alone having them take those for their entire lives. Maybe I'm wrong and all but that subject deserves a serious look, from someone.
I’m glad you brought this up about the pills. I’ve had prescription pain pills for about 10 years now. In 2003 I busted a ligament that connects my hip to my spine while making a food delivery to Popeyes chicken. I would not even consider taking a pain pill back then. I used ice and saw a chiropractor . In 2010 I fell off a roof and got a compression fracture on L1 and broken L2. The first time in my life, I decided to take the pain medicine. And it helped. A lot. Since that time, every month, I get the same prescription for the same medicine at the same dosage as when I had the last accident. I’ve never abused him. I mean… In the beginning years, I would feel some euphoria when I took one, but I was scared to death of becoming addicted or turning into a drug addict. Fast forward to present day, with the opioid crisis, my God! When anyone finds out that I take that pain medicine I’m a pariah. It is automatically assume that when I smoke weed, and do other drugs on top of my prescribed medicine; I get treated like I’m some kind of drug abuser. The reality is, I don’t think I’d be able to do my job without them. Also, it’s my understanding that part of 2010, pain doctor seems to just give anybody pain pills for any reason. That’s not the case now. I get drug tested, I have to do other treatments which, by the way, help out a lot as well. The way things are going, it seems like pain pills are going to be almost never prescribed. What about people like me who never abuse them? I’m a hard-working white guy in my mid-40s. My income is in the 60k-70k range. I don’t have Big Herc’s entrepreneurial Spirit or ability. Those get taken away, and I can’t do my job, what the hell am I gonna do? I’m fairly certain because of my solid middle class income, I’m not going to get any kind a help from anyone. Social Security would be… A battle. I get that there’s a huge opioid problem And that there are a lot of people starting out on pain pills, and moving to heroin… And overdosing and die. Something has to be done, I just sincerely hope that people like me aren’t shafted in the process.

Yeah i had bad experiences with weed man. I used to be way more open and now im a recluse. I kept getting bad highs with weed but kept getting high and it really messed with my mind. I am so anxious now when I am sober let alone high on bud. It has ruined a lot of relationships I had even with my own immediate family because of the anxiety inducing effects. Can't even have a normal conversation with anyone it sucks man but i keep it pushing. Everytime I talk with someone or even family i feel like my mouth is gonna fall off... lips start trembling and shit. I never had that shit before i started smoking weed. Its something that would happen on some bad highs and it carried over to my sober life. Its been years. Cant even form relationships cause im embarrased my lips will start twitching/quivering. That is why is strongly disagree when people say weed has no negative side effects.... keep up the videos herc..
M pop some Lipothiamin, Magnesium and country life b complex. I had a weed induced panic disorder for 3 months because some crazy shit happened when I was high. That mix got rid of the worst in about a week. To completely fix the other 5% it just takes time and lifestyle changes.

I guess I had a similar experience with weed when I was 19. I had a friend of mine who just wanted to get me fucked up after work and I was curious what being high was like so I shared a blunt with him and even though I enjoyed it at first, by the time I got home my heart started pounding out of nowhere and I had a horrible panic attack. Literally thought I was gonna die and almost called 911. Even when that night was over I had recurring panic attacks triggered by flashbacks to the experience for months after which only stopped when I saw a doctor who prescribed me Klonopin. Needless to say, I pay close attention to what I put in my body now and don't plan on touching that shit again.
I smoked weed, drank and did other drugs for about 20 years. I dont regret those years but i dont miss them either. At the end of the day if life isnt amazing to you without drugs, you arent doing life right.

My older cousin knew this women from my hometown who loved to flirt, and one of the dudes she flirted with wanted more than conversation. She went to a party one night and he laced the joint she was smoking. Long story short she walks the street day and night hair almost gone, most of her teeth missing.
That's the real truth. Nobody likes to believe that they would ever end up addicted to drugs that but honestly, one way or another, repetition will take you there. The less habits you have the better, you only have so much time in a day. Time is better spent bettering yourself.
I may drink occasionally but I have my own place own car 2 homes that I own and I smile everyday I seen my dad do drugs and move weight when I was a kid growing up in nyc so I was never into drugs but thank you big herc for that positivity and motivation being 22 it feels good to hear you speak on life and your experiences
Big Herc went into the weed hole. I only did edibles once and same thing happened to me. I'd smoked weed for years too but that scared me and set me on the track towards giving up weed completely. It was making me anxious and paranoid and stopped feeling good.
I used to do coke right off the block!! I would be high for like 3 days without going to sleep. Now that I'm a little older I look back and I ask myself wtf was I thinking. I would do so much coke I don't know how I didn't die. I remember a few times where I was on my hands and knees crawling because I couldn't get up and pass out.
Used to blaze cannabis few years but ultimately you're better off without it less money to spend less to worry about. Get high off your own success, it will feel better

I smoked weed for 20yrs I'm 3yrs with weed and i feel wonderful. I feel better hitting the irons and eating healthy.

I had a friend of mine who just wanted to get me fucked up after work and I was curious what being high was like so I shared a blunt with him and even though I enjoyed it at first, by the time I got home my heart started pounding out of nowhere and I had a horrible panic attack. Literally thought I was gonna die and almost called 911. Even when that night was over I had recurring panic attacks triggered by flashbacks to the experience for months after which only stopped when I saw a doctor who prescribed me Klonopin. Needless to say, I pay close attention to what I put in my body now and don't plan on touching that shit again.

I smoked weed, drank and did other drugs for about 20 years. I dont regret those years but i dont miss them either. At the end of the day if life isnt amazing to you without drugs, you arent doing life right.

Big Herc went into the weed hole. I only did edibles once and same thing happened to me. I'd smoked weed for years too but that scared me and set me on the track towards giving up weed completely. It was making me anxious and paranoid and stopped feeling good.
I used to do coke right off the block!! I would be high for like 3 days without going to sleep. Now that I'm a little older I look back and I ask myself wtf was I thinking. I would do so much coke I don't know how I didn't die. I remember a few times where I was on my hands and knees crawling because I couldn't get up and pass out.
Used to blaze cannabis few years but ultimately you're better off without it less money to spend less to worry about. Get high off your own success, it will feel better

I wish I didn’t start smoking daily cuz now my tolerance is so high, I don’t even get high off flower no more. Never liked cigarettes, don’t like alcohol. I miss when I was high off life. I think people who smoke weed have nothing going on in their lives. If they did, they would know that there are pleasures in this world stronger than a high. Accomplishment is the greatest feeling and it requires discipline-something many young people severely lack.
I work about 60 hours a week and own my own business and smoke weed when I'm off. It's like alchohol. Yeah you can be fucked off but it's on the person.
