I’ve been playing this song for years, but whenever I see a new video of yours up, I always check it out. Amber has a wonderful teaching style, she is clear, concise and thorough. I would have loved to have a teacher like her when I started all those years ago! Keep the lessons coming! If I was a beginner or even a bit more experienced, I would sign up for her courses! PS, Amber is that an Australian or Kiwi accent I’m detecting? I’m probably way off on that, however whatever the accent is, it’s beautiful listening to you!
I only wish that you feed had popped up a long time ago...Your Teacher Style is way better than all the other youtubers , and I appreciate the lyrics and chords that you also implement in your teaching. Ahhhh now my heart is bursting! 🙏⭐️ I teach kids music full time (that’s my day job!) so this absolutely makes my heart so warm and happy! Maybe he’ll be an awesome guitar player like his dad! 🎶🎸
Since recently taking up guitar in my 70’s, I’ve always struggled mightily reading tablature. To my way of thinking they don’t replicate the actual strings on the guitar. I found this tip that helps (I still struggle occasionally) To the left of the tab we see: T A B I think of that as: T -> Treble strings A B-> Bass strings Hopefully this helps people experiencing my same mental block. Cheers from 🇨🇦
It's funny how music whether in TAB or the Staff is viewed , vs just writing it and reading top to bottom as it is laid out on the guitar from the seated position . ✔
Good morning, Amber I love tutorial Sundays ❤ I don't know this song, but I look forward to learning it. There's a lot of fun layers here ❤ great job ❤
The first song I ever learnt, many years ago, until I forgot playing the guitar in general 🥲 but it's all coming back to me again, better than ever. Thanks to my stellar instructor 😙
Hi Charlie! Yes you are absolutely right! In the original track, the chord progression in the verses usually goes G Em B/C C Am. However, in the original song, there is an instance in the second verse where the chord changes to a D instead of an Am. It only happens once and so it is important to keep an eye out for that change. Well done for spotting that. If you play along with the original you will hear that playing an Am in that specific spot instead of a D, doesn’t sound right.
Definitely a good selection for a beginner . Unfortunately I don't recognize the song . I Don't mean this in a mean way , ... but as a composition , I somewhat feel more compelled to go back to one of your recent tutorials . I like what you have been doing all along . This tutorial is Very beneficial , but the song is not my cuppa tea ! 😊

Enjoying and learning from you. If I may make a suggestion, could you please leave all your graphics up during the time you are demonstrating/ playing? As an example, when you played the song in its entirety, there was not the graphic for the intro so there was nothing to play along to unless we first memorized. Great song, great instructions. Ray
Great suggestion, thanks for sharing! I’ve been wanting to do this, just logistically trying to think about where to show the graphics for the picking because of its awkward length. But I’ll definitely try to do this in the future 😁🙏🎸
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the lesson 🎶😃 yes I did give Promises a listen- very cool electric guitar riff! I don’t know Def Leppard, but they do remind me a bit of Bon Jovi. Well that song did anyway 😅
Trying to follow this with my thick, short sausage fingers that constantly press the wrong strings - But I will get there slowly - Very determined to learn this song
@@thestellarguitarist I can now play the intro, verse and chorus - Now I have to put it all together - Forgot to complement you on a very easy understandable tutorial - Thanks

Hi Amber at 13:55 you play and show a D in the on-screen chords. But in the verse chords section, and in V1 play-through it's an Am.
