Finally! I found a tutorial on how to get my bombs out of the molds! I was having the hardest time trying to get them to stick (found out that was due to it being too damp) or trying to get them off without splitting the bombs in half. After watching this I ran over and mixed up my ingredients and tried it out and it worked perfectly! First try! I had to use coconut oil instead of liquid silicone but hey, it still worked :) Thanks so much! xoxo

I noticed you didn't use the polysorbate 80 here. What is the difference between bath bombs with and without that ingredient? I love your videos. Thank you!
Polysorbate 80 helps any oil or powder colorant mix into the bathtub water! You can add it if you like. Can you/do you use the liquid silicone in the plastic bath bomb molds as well? Do the plastic bath bomb molds work as well as the stainless steel ones? Any insight is appreciated - I want to know what the best item will be for me before I buy anything. :)
You can definitely use cyclomethicone in the plastic molds as well! Those molds work nicely, and double as packaging. I love to use them. =) Keep in mind they are a bit smaller than the stainless steel molds. They hold 3.8 ounces, while the stainless steel molds hold about 7.5 ounces. +just some awesome girls We recommend using La Bomb Colorants for this recipe! Food coloring is often mixed with water, which can cause the bath bombs to fizz prematurely. I see that I am very late to this post, but just a question, if I am just doing this for a gender reveal and not for an actual bath, do I need this particular coloring, or can I just use food coloring and get the same results?
You can use 99% isopropyl alcohol in place of witch hazel. We have used alcohol before, and found it to be a bit drying. We have better luck with witch hazel. It wets the mixture nicely! You can read more about witch hazel here: www.soapqueen.com/bramble-berry-news/sunday-night-spotlight-witch-hazel/ I would recommend giving witch hazel a try! If you don’t have that on hand, you can add oil to your bath bombs. That helps wet them and adds moisturizing properties to the fizzy. We recommend about .5 ounces per 1.5 cups of bath bomb mixture. You can add any oil you like! Avocado oil or sweet almond oil are lightweight and feel nice on the skin. =) Avocado oil: www.brambleberry.com/Avocado-Oil-P3198.aspx Sweet almond oil: www.brambleberry.com/Sweet-Almond-Oil-P3205.aspx The cyclomethicone is optional in this recipe. If you don't have it on hand, you can skip it or use a bit of oil in the mold. That should help the bath bombs slide out easily!
Do these bath bombs get really hard after a dry time? because I've been having so much trouble with more complicated recipes such as my bomb never hardening or not enough fizz. This recipe seems very simple, I want to try it but I'm afraid it won't harden like the bombs that have clays and stuff.
These do harden up nicely! If you find yours are staying soft, they're likely too wet. You can prevent that by adding less oil or witch hazel to the bath bombs. It also helps to wrap them tightly with plastic wrap once they're dry. That will protect them from moisture in the air, which can cause them to fizz prematurely. =) Get more bath bomb tips here: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/bath-bomb-questions-answers/

+Marie-Christine Vallières I bought these molds recently and I don't use anything in the mold, and I haven't have a problem yet:) If it feels like it sticks a bit I just use the back of a spoon to lightly tap the mold to loosen it. Hope that helps!
+Marie-Christine Vallières You can skip the cyclomethicone if you like! It helps the bath bombs unmold, but isn't completely necessary. The bath bombs will unmold without it. Also, Kaitlyn has a great tip - tapping the mold with a spoon helps loosen the bath bomb. =)
+Niq Ruc If you don't have witch hazel on hand, you can use an oil like avocado or sweet almond oil. That helps moisten the fizzies, and adds skin-loving properties to your recipe. This recipe makes about 4-5 bath bombs. So, you can double it and make a couple batches, or make five batches of this recipe. Working in smaller batches is a bit easier because don't have to mold the mixture as quickly as you would with a large batch. =)
You can use mineral oil to help the bath bombs slide out more easily! You can also skip it if you like. It is an optional step. It makes unmolding a bit easier, but the bath bombs will still unmold without it. =) Cyclomethicone: www.brambleberry.com/Cyclomethicone-P4560.aspx
I don't like to use synthetic products and since mineral oil is a petroleum by-product (and is actually bad for your skin), do you think a natural oil or wax could be used or would that effect the compounds in the bath bomb? maybe jojoba or coconut oil?

You can, but typically food coloring is mixed with water which can set off the fizzing reaction in your bath bombs early.
Since Brambleberry does not carry the LaBomb colorant any more....what else can be used in this fizzie to create the same effect ?

+Kristin Folck Thank you so much, glad you like the bath bombs! =)
What which hazel should i use? Water base?
Witch*
You'll want to use alcohol based witch hazel! It wets the bath bombs without causing them to fizz. =)

Hi ! Is there a possibility to replace the cyclomethicone by a natural product please ? To avoid the bath bomb to stick in the mold ? Thank's !
+Marie-Christine Vallières I bought these molds recently and I don't use anything in the mold, and I haven't have a problem yet:) If it feels like it sticks a bit I just use the back of a spoon to lightly tap the mold to loosen it. Hope that helps!
+Kaitlyn Denison ok thank's a lot ;)
+Marie-Christine Vallières You can skip the cyclomethicone if you like! It helps the bath bombs unmold, but isn't completely necessary. The bath bombs will unmold without it. Also, Kaitlyn has a great tip - tapping the mold with a spoon helps loosen the bath bomb. =)
+Soap Queen TV thank's ;)
I know this is a very old video and hope someone responds. Do you put the Cyclomethicone only in one piece of the mold or both?
Hi Sharon, you put the cyclomethicone on both sides of the mold.
These are so cool!
+Sophie Jones Thank you Sophie, glad you like them! =)
Is there anything I can substitute the witch hazel with?
+Niq Ruc If you don't have witch hazel on hand, you can use an oil like avocado or sweet almond oil. That helps moisten the fizzies, and adds skin-loving properties to your recipe. If they're still a bit dry, you can use 99% isopropyl alcohol to help wet them. =)

***** Thanks! The rubbing alcohol worked just fine
+Niq Ruc Awesome, so glad to hear that! =)

I made a smaller version of these for my cousin a while ago. We had them in the primary colors, so she could add and mix colors for her bath!

Alina Karay lush patented bath bomb which I think is bull so you can get sued if you use that term in certain ways

+Dhruvi Patel Thank you so much! =)
What if I use regular soap colouring instead of this brand would it work
Micas work well in bath bombs! You can add them to the powders and mix well. Learn more about coloring bath bombs here: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/bath-bomb-questions-answers/

how many bathbombs were you able to make with those measurements? i have to make 25, so i need some help with the recipe
This recipe makes about 4-5 bath bombs. So, you can double it and make a couple batches, or make five batches of this recipe. Working in smaller batches is a bit easier because don't have to mold the mixture as quickly as you would with a large batch. =)
If you don't have the cyclopethin is there something else I can use
You can use mineral oil to help the bath bombs slide out more easily! You can also skip it if you like. It is an optional step. It makes unmolding a bit easier, but the bath bombs will still unmold without it. =)
Cyclomethicone: www.brambleberry.com/Cyclomethicone-P4560.aspx
I don't like to use synthetic products and since mineral oil is a petroleum by-product (and is actually bad for your skin), do you think a natural oil or wax could be used or would that effect the compounds in the bath bomb? maybe jojoba or coconut oil?
what can be a substitute for Witch Hazel??
rubbing alcohol
I agree, great gender reveal idea!
Absolutely! =)
This is such a good idea I will definitely make these and I have never missed a video either😂but a tip is you should post more I have to wait so long😩
+Amy Hall Thank you so much Amy! Have fun making these bath bombs. =)

Where do I get the Labomb colorant? I look into the page but I can’t find it
I may be wrong but I think the micas can be used for them. I've noticed on the description on some it list bath bombs on it.
