Regarding ARP mode if anyone was unsure how he accessed ARP mode @ 8:45 You simply open up the "NOTE REPEAT" section and ARP will be all the way on the far right of that menu that opens. 😎
The chord progressions is awesome! Even with musical theory knowledge it's easy to get stuck in a rut. This is nice cause you can just choose a key and musical style and just mess around and you'll come up with stuff you never would have otherwise.
3:44 How do you pull up that menu on the left hand side so you can filter out what you want to use with Tubesynth or the other plugins? I'm on update 2.81 and I can't seem to figure out how to pull that menu up. 😑
It’s a shame akai isn’t paying you...... you just 100% sold me on this. I was going to hold off and wait for a update MPC one but thanks to this, I’m going to wait for it to go back in stock and buy one. Thanks
I want to thank you for all the work you put into these videos. I’ve learned so much about using my MPC One thanks to you, and I really appreciate it!!
Random question. I have only 3 expansions listed in my MPC X and I see people with tons of them. Did I miss out on something as far as when I first setup my MPC X after purchase? I've had it for almost 2 years but it bothers me when I only see "Clip Launch, Essential Instruments and The Vault 2.0" listed in my expansions. Of course if I connect my MPC X to my PC then I see quite a few other ones that aren't on my MPC in standalone mode but I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss out some how? Also- is there a way to bring all the expansions I can see while connected to my PC into the MPC X to use in standalone mode? I prefer using my X in standalone mode 90% of the time! Thanks bro!
🔥🔥🔥😍 ok so yeah I understood everything in this video now I can use all this information for mpc beats so thanks much appreciated I am going to cook up in mpc beats today now that I know its possible to do all of this inside of mpc beats lol thanks again much appreciated 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😷🙏🏾👍🏾
Love the video Ave. You touch a topic/ MPC product that i have been working on. Vol 1 is done and i will send to you with a promo for your faithful subscribers. Peace
I was just wondering weather you could ID the chords used in the MPC... Have not got mine yet. Going for the Live 2.. Can Hardly Wait.. Thanks So Much for the video..
Hey Ave we need a video on how to get 808's and kicks to not clash could you create one because i have the mpc one and that tutorial is very much needed. Also dope video.
Basics on 808 and Kicks clashing they have to be EQed differently can't both be tuned the same way 80hz below to boost punch head rumble above 100Hz color for your kick...
Always adds some inspiration! Can I make a video request... I know this sounds really basic and silly, but how and where things get saved would be really useful. Such as what exactly is saved in a channel strip, like does it save a wav in the channel strip for example.. Thanks
I kinda knew it was possible still watching you actually do this is helpful just saying I can read a manual still tho watching someone else makes the process quicker lol
Hey a little off topic to this video, not sure if you check older comments.. But I'm trying to distort a pad and have the into to my track be a slowed don distorted version of the main hook... But I cant figure out to mix and add effects to only a specific sequence..Is there a way? A way mix and add effects per sequence instead of having to commit to the effect for the whole song??
Question, can you only use chord progression with plug-ins (tubesynth) or can you use chord progression with samples? When i load a program (samples) and then select chord progression, chord progression doesn't work.
I've bought so much NI. Die for the massive and would take shots for it. But, unlabled buttons, I've owned maschine for years, was happy they came standalone and I'm really torn on the looks of the ease of use, arrangement and the workflow seems way simpler. Is that for real from anyone that have used both? Sounds can be loaded into anything and workflow is my main focus.
If I'm just using the MPC One with no computer hooked up, can I download and access those free chord progression files? Those ones that you've linked to before? Or can I only use those when the computer is connected? Thanks
Cool to see this workfliw approach. Have you made any changes to your pad sensitivity? Your chords seem to sustain easier and with less force to trigger. Keep up the good work.
How do you perform pad perform in 1.9 software on the mpc touch without having that actually screen up.What I mean is on the older controllers like the studio and ren. it had a dedicated button but with the touch you have to go into the menu and only in there you can perform pad perform mode but when you go back to the main screen it switches back to regular mode.
MPC ONE is way better than that over priced Native Instruments Squirt of duck shit.🦆 Thanks for the knowledge and all your time you put in the game 🖖.Salute my friend
Every day I get stronger on tha MPC!!! A lot of that strength comes from your vidz. Thank you Ave
Facts son FACTS!

Thank you Ave for you sharing your love for music with us and your knowledge of the MPC so we can learn this MPC software!

This is an excellent tutorial.
I’m glad that you covered features that highlight the musicality of the MPC line beyond beat-making.
Thanks
THANKS MORE MPC ONE STUFF!
You really opened so many new avenues for me with this video, appreciate you!

Them free chord progressions got my joints hittin like Mary J Blige joints 😂
awsome ! Thanks for the secrets.
I have learned more from you than anyone else on this dumb site. Thank you.
Always adds some inspiration!

1:32 That was impressive. I had to open up my DAW and hit a C just to verify, and he is 100% correct lol
I kinda knew it was possible still watching you actually do this is helpful just saying I can read a manual still tho watching someone else makes the process quicker lol
Much respect bruh and thank you

hei, thank you for a good video :D how do you turn pad perform off?
Question, can you only use chord progression with plug-ins (tubesynth)
or can you use chord progression with samples? When i load a program
(samples) and then select chord progression, chord progression doesn't
work.
bump
Plugins and keygroups, not for sample programs because the sample might already be chords or it may be drums
Question: is it possible to pad perform chord progressions on one program and notes on another one?

can you use pad perform with any sample, or does it have to be a plug in??? thanks man
This video is really awesome bro'.
thanks
Awesome tutorial, and burp @4:07 😂

Nice breakdown Ave Mcree! I'm looking for an old video you made using these weird drumbreak loops but I can't find it, can you please help?
Are you talking about an mpc video or Ableton Live?
@@AveMcree ableton live, you were using the push
I don't see arc mode any more is it still available?
That menu is not there anymore for the progressions! House etc. I just tried to do it on my mpc one and its no longer
Cool to see this workfliw approach. Have you made any changes to your pad sensitivity? Your chords seem to sustain easier and with less force to trigger. Keep up the good work.
Nah, I'm still using the default setting. I should do that and make a video.
🔥💯

It's only a 2.8 thing
YES!!!
Are the arpeggio options in the MPC software
Yes
@@AveMcree how
@@AveMcree I see how to hit the arp but the options menu you pulled up in the video how do I find on the software
I play piano and I actually know chords. How do I program my own chords and put them on the pads?
press the main button, play the progression, then press the pencil sign, and then choose "convert progress".
2 Years later, and this video is still helping people out. Thank you!
Lol, Had mpc live for 2 years, didn't know the data wheel was a button
Thumbs up 👍 gang we here
MPC ONE is way better than that over priced Native Instruments Squirt of duck shit.🦆
Thanks for the knowledge and all your time you put in the game 🖖.Salute my friend
Tbh, they're both different from each other in so many ways.
Do you like Mac Books
Imma Machine head but I be watching like I rock wit the mpc they copy each other so much it kinda translates anyway
nothing basic especially no basic explanation in this vid.there is big diff between teaching and showing off your knowledge
