True . This teaching is taught from churches from history . If you read the Bible without already being taught the trinity from man you will never see it. Praise to God the father Jahuwah aka Jehovah. Jesus aka Jahusha is the Son.
I need help with baptism and I am curious to know your thoughts as I too struggle with belief in the doctrine of the trinity. I have read this in the Greek lexicon for the word "baptism". I am all but convinced Jesus was telling us to remain submerged in Him as the meaning and not to be dunked in and out or sprinkled with water as the meaning. Here is the lexicon's words: The clearest example that showsthe meaning of baptizo is a text from the Greek poet and physicianNicander, who lived about 200 B.C. It is a recipe for making picklesand is helpful because it uses both words. Nicander says that inorder to make a pickle, the vegetable should first be 'dipped'(bapto) into boiling water and then 'baptised' (baptizo) in thevinegar solution. Both verbs concern the immersing of vegetables in asolution. But the first is temporary. The second, the act ofbaptising the vegetable, produces a permanent change.

Amen Pastor. That is what people fail to do when they read the Bible. They don't bother praying for God's truth to be revealed, they just read and add their own understanding. Lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Have you not read? God's son: Matthew 2:15 and was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Matthew 3:17 and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him. John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Acts 13:33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. Romans 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; Hebrews 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? Hebrews 5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. 2 Peter 1:17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
@A Young Christian Theologian's TH-cam If so, then why does 1 Peter 1:20 say that Jesus was "foreknown before the foundation of the world." If he was "foreknown" by God at one point then that means he didn't exist at that time. Furthermore, if the holy spirit is a person, then why does "he" apparently not know the hour (Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32)?
N B He obviously did know the day and hour. He wasn’t ignorant. He was telling them what was going to happen. He was saying it wasn’t given for His children to know. We shall be sons of God. We are the son spoken of that doesn’t know the day and hour.
This is the heresy of modalism, that God expresses Himself in different persons at different times, rather than being Three Persons. At Jesus’ baptism, all three Persons of the Trinity were present at once.
I’ve done multiple videos showing hat is not what is communicated at His baptism. And it’s generally acknowledged by non-partisan scholarship that so called modalism was the belief of the early Church.
Jesus is the firstborn of all things created or the first of the Fathers works. Jesus's spirit would have been formed by the Father before all things. The fullness was pleased to dwell in Him. - Gifted not formed -From the will of another. In that unity the Son is the radiance of Gods glory and the exact representation of Gods being. Therefore this question, "Is Jesus God?" Is answered thus: He never dies. Yes, He is ALL that the Father is. No, He has always been the Son. At the appointed time a body was prepared for Jesus. Therefore, when Christ came into the world, HE said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; The Son who was, (His Spirit), was in the tent of that body and the Father was still living in Him. They are one. Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and WE will come to them and make our home with them. One God the Father and one Lord Jesus Christ.
“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (I.e., the Son, per John 1:1-15), and the Holy Ghost: and these three ARE ONE” (1 John 5:7)
Twist not the scriptures lest you be like Satan. It doesn't say Son, etc. The word is referring to God speaking, His word is His witness, God is Spirit and His spirit is holy. Those three aspects, realities point to ONE GOD.
Hargis Pennington my friend, there is indeed one God, but He exists as three eternal persons. I did not twist scripture, but rather used scripture to interpret scripture, which is the Biblically correct method. John 1:1-15 clearly shows that “the Word” refers to Jesus. Read it carefully with an open, prayerful mind.

Consubstantiality explained And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father, by whom all things were made.- The Nicene Creed One aspect of the trinity that was fought for hard in the early church is the concept of consubstantiality of the three Persons of the godhead. This word “consubstantiality” may seem like a $3 theological term that has no bearing on average people. However, when you break the word down it is actually very important in defending the deity of all three Persons and their unity. This word is important in Trinitarian theology for explaining the unity of the three Persons of the Godhead. “Co” means together, all three Persons share this characteristic, ex. Co-equality, all three Persons are equal with each other. “Substantial” means the divine substance. When you put these terms together, you find out that the three Persons share in the one divine substance. All three Persons share in the one essence of the godhead. A similar term to describe this is homoousion; meaning that the three Persons of the Godhead share one (homo) divine ousia [nature]. Where is consubstantiality in the Bible? According to John 5:18, Jesus claimed to be co-equal with the Father. Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, which means that Jesus claimed to share in the divine substance of the Father, yet personally distinct from him. This is consubstantiality. In John 10:30 Jesus claimed to be one with the Father. The Greek word for one means one in composite unity. Basically, Jesus claimed to share in the nature of his Father and to be co-equal with him. Jesus is one with the Father in that they both share in the one divine nature; ie they are consubstantial with each other. Why is this important? Because, if the three Persons do not share in the same substance/essence, then one of two things must be correct; either there are three essences, or some person of the Godhead must be subordinate to another person in the godhead. If God is three substances or essences, then by definition that is tritheism. If certain Persons of the Godhead are subordinate to other Persons in the Godhead, then some members of the Godhead aren’t fully God. We would have the Son and/or the Spirit not sharing in the same divine essance as the Father. They would not be co-equal; rather certain members of the Godhead would be subordinate to each other. But the three Persons are consubstantial with each other and share in their nature. God is one divine nature, shared by three divine Persons. In summary, it is very important to affirm that the three Persons of the trinity are consubstantial. This is how we affirm the deity of each of the Persons of the Godhead; because they all share in the same, singular, divine nature.
Psalm 95:7-11 {God makes the statement} For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. Forty years long was I grieved with this generation and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. Hebrews 3:7-11 {Holy Spirit makes the statement} Wherefore as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers temped me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Acts 28:25 (Holy Spirit said it) ....Well spake the Holy Ghost by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers, Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: So who gave us all scripture The Father or the Holy Spirit or GOD? Mathew 28:19 are Instructions of Jesus himself " Baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son abd of the Holy Spirit. " Look up Father, Son, Spirit in the Greek to see if it is Singular or plural.
The word NAME if notice is singular, not plural. That name is Jesus. Read Acts and notice every time they speak of baptism, they baptize in the name of Jesus.
In Acts 7:32 there is "the God of Abraham, and the God of Issac, and the God of Jacob." Obviously there isnt 3 separate God's for Abraham Issac and Jacob but is referring to a singular God which each share. Also in Col. 2:2 "to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ." Clearly there are not 3 separate mysteries, but speaking of a singular mystery. These examples are the same as Matt. 28:19, referring to the SINGULAR NAME! which is Jesus
Simply put the Trinity is not biblical. It was a pagan belief introduced into Christendom as a way to convert pagans, unfortunately by doing so they and those that believe the Trinity became pagan themselves. Note what some experts say about the Trinity: 1) "Theologians today are in agreement that the Hebrew Bible does not contain a doctrine of the Trinity" (The Encyclopedia of Religion, ed. Mircea Eliade, Macmillan Publishing Company, 1987, Vol. 15, p. 54). 2) "The doctrine of the Trinity is not taught in the Old Testament" (New Catholic Encyclopedia, 1967, Vol. XIV, p. 306). 3) "Nowhere in the Old Testament do we find any clear indication of a Third Person" (The Catholic Encyclopedia, 1912, Vol. 15, p. 49). 4) "The Old Testament clearly does not envisage God’s spirit as a person…God’s spirit is simply God’s power. If it is sometimes represented as being distinct from God, it is because the breath of Yahweh acts exteriorly…The majority of New Testament texts reveal God’s spirit as something, not someone; this is especially seen in the parallelism between the spirit and the power of God" (New Catholic Encyclopedia, 1967, Vol. 13, pp. 574, 575). 5) "On the whole the New Testament, like the Old, speaks of the spirit as a divine energy or power" (W.E. Addis and Thomas Arnold, A Catholic Dictionary, 1960, p. 810). 6) "The third Person was asserted at a Council of Alexandria in 362...and finally by the Council of Constantinople of 381" (A Catholic Dictionary, p. 812). 7) "Karl Rahner [leading Roman Catholic spokesman] points out with so much emphasis that the Son in the New Testament is never described as ‘ho theos’ [the one God]" (A.T. Hanson, Grace and Truth, p. 66). 8) "The New Testament writers...give us no formal or formulated doctrine of the Trinity, no explicit teaching that in one God there are three equal divine persons.... Nowhere do we find any Trinitarian doctrine of three distinct subjects of divine life and activity in the same Godhead" (Fortman, The Triune God, pp. xv, xvi, 16). 9) "Neither the word Trinity nor the explicit doctrine appears in the New Testament" (The New Encyclopedia Britannica, 1985, Vol. 11, p. 928). 10) "Fourth-century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary a deviation from this teaching" (The Encyclopedia Americana, p. 1956, p. 2941). 11) "Apparently Paul did not call Jesus God" (Sydney Cave, D.D., Doctrine of the Person of Christ, p. 48). 12) "Paul habitually differentiates Christ from God" (C.J. Cadoux, A Pilgrim’s Further Progress, pp. 40, 42). 13) "Paul never equates Jesus with God" (W.R. Matthews, The Problem of Christ in the 20th Century, Maurice Lectures, 1949, p. 22). 14) "Paul never gives to Christ the name or description of ‘God’" (Dictionary of the Apostolic Church, Vol. 1, p. 194). 15) "When the New Testament writers speak of Jesus Christ, they do not speak of Him nor do they think of Him as God" (J.M. Creed, The Divinity of Jesus Christ, pp. 122-123). 16) "[Matt. 28:19] proves only that there are the three subjects named,...but it does not prove, by itself, that all the three belong necessarily to the divine nature, and possess equal divine honor…This text, taken by itself, would not prove decisively either the personality of the three subjects mentioned, or their equality or divinity" (McClintock and Strong, Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature, 1987, Vol. X, p. 552). 17) "The Old Testament tells us nothing explicitly or by necessary implication of a Triune God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.... There is no evidence that any sacred writer even suspected the existence of a [Trinity] within the Godhead.... Even to see in the Old Testament suggestions or foreshadowings or ‘veiled signs’ of the Trinity of persons, is to go beyond the words and intent of the sacred writers" (Edmund J. Fortman, The Triune God, Baker Book House, 1972, pp. xv, 8, 9). 18) "The Old Testament is strictly monotheistic. God is a single personal being. The idea that a Trinity is to be found there is utterly without foundation." (L.L. Paine, A Critical History of the Evolution of Trinitarianism, Houghton Mifflin and Co, 1900). 19) "There is no break between the Old Testament and the New. The monotheistic tradition is continued. Jesus was a Jew, trained by Jewish parents in the Old Testament scriptures. His teaching was Jewish to the core; a new gospel indeed but not a new theology…And he accepted as his own belief the great text of Jewish monotheism: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one God" (L.L. Paine, A Critical History of the Evolution of Trinitarianism, Houghton Mifflin and Co., 1900, p. 4). 20) "The fact has to be faced that New Testament research over, say, the last thirty or forty years has been leading an increasing number of reputable New Testament scholars to the conclusion that Jesus...certainly never believed himself to be God" ((Bulletin of the John Rylands Library, 1967-68, Vol. 50, p. 251). After wrongly assimilating the Trinity the Churches began incorporating other false pagan beliefs, gods and symbols such as the Cross, Easter, Christmas, Hell, Purgatory and the systematic removal of God’s name Jehovah which once appeared over 7000+ times, and now has been completely removed or only retained in a few places by a very few translations. Jesus warned about this in his parable of the Wheat and the Weeds in Matthew 13:24 to 30 and Matthew 13:37 to 43. The Apostles also warned the congregations about false teachings and teachers that would soon arrive after them in Acts 20:29 & 30 which reads “For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves” - New King James Version. See also 1 Timothy 4:1 to 3, 2 Timothy 4:3 & 4, 2Peter 2:1 to 3, 2Peter 2:12 & 13. It is extremely important for true Christians to reject such teachings and find the truth in all things as set out in Gods word.

Matthew 16:13-19 . This passage refutes all forms of Restorationism. This is the idea that the Christian church fell into apostasy . Groups that teach this include Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Apostolic Pentecostals. These groups teach that the mainstream, historic Christian church fell into darkness and they are restoring the truth. I was raised a Oneness Pentecostal and I thought this. When I was Oneness , I thought that after the apostles died, Christianity fell into apostasy and paganism because of the Trinity and God restored the Christian faith through the people who started the Oneness movement through the revelation that Jesus is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I thought we were keeping Christianity from being lost because all other churches were wrong and idolatrous. I thought that we worshipped a different god than other Christians. I believed the Roman Catholic Church stole the gospel from everyone because they baptized using “titles”and was teaching polytheism. I thought that when other churches said they believed in one God, that they were lying to me . I thought we should not to study church history, because the church was apostate. I believed we were pushing the reset button on the Christian faith. I may have misunderstood our doctrine but that’s what I believed . Most of us did not study historic Christian theology such as the creeds because it came from a pagan, false church. I believed that God had re-opened the true doctrine of the Bible to us, because I thought all other churches were being deceived by it. I thought that Satan twisted the Bible to make people believe in the Trinity. I was afraid when I was questioning the Oneness doctrine that it was Satan using the Bible to test my faith. But this passage teaches that the church will endure. Yes, the church needed reform but it never completely falls away. This is why church history matters. Church history is NOT an infallible rule but it’s important. The church needed and continues to need reformation, not a complete redrawing of its fabric. While scripture is the singular, inerrant , divine word of God, it should be understood in context of the Christian witness throughout the generations. This is why church tradition has a role to play in theology.)
Where did you get Apostolic Pentecostals in that group? We believe there has always been a Church. Now the Christian Church, Church of Christ, and Disciples of Christ are restorationists.
You used “I” 17 times. Which Church tradition? The Inquisition? Luthers condoning of terrible measures in the peasant rebellion? Calvin killing people? Quakers being put to death by puritans? Which tradition exactly?
Many learned and reasonable men saw Scriptural truth like Sir Isaac Newton, Joseph Priestly some of the greatest scientists in all history would be lead to refute to the trinity; Not being deceived.

Exodus 3:13-14 (I AM THAT I AM) And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, what is his name? What shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. John 8:5810:30-36 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, for a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man makest thyself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are Gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the son of God? Jesus states " the Father and I are one" He's talking about being one in nature not one in will, we know this because the Jews understood it to be one in nature "thou being a man, makest thyself God", notice they didn't say "a God but just God", John 5:18 states “Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken{loosed} the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God” …..Jesus understood the Jews were interpreting it this way. For he states John 8:58 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM” ….Jesus knew this was something every Jew had burned in his mind from infancy Exodus 3:14 “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM". So to hear someone else use it and apply to himself BLASPHEMY ! Absolutely. Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily. Philippians 2:6 Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God Why? He was God. When Jesus Christ was asked what the first and greatest commandment of the law was, He stated in Mark 12:29 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is One Lord God states: Hebrews 1:8 But unto the Son he (God) saith, Thy throne O God, is for ever and ever: John 8:58, 6:18. Jesus was persecuted and crucified for making himself equal with the “only existing God ", since the Jews only accepted one living God. He was not implying he was a lesser god or a second god, but that he had the same nature or was coexistent with him as an equal. The Jews understood this very clearly. In Isaiah 40:3 "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God." …..So here someone will cry in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of yehôvâh, make straight in the desert a hightway for our God. Mark 1:3 "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight." …..But here the Holy Spirit speaks of Jesus. So in Isaiah the Holy Spirit said Yahweh and in Mark he said Jesus. Is the picture getting clearer? John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus. Isaiah said the way will be prepared for the LORD or in Hebrew Yahweh. th-cam.com/video/2OoUvneyE5Q/w-d-xo.html In His service,

On your opening comments even though the word Trinity is not found the Trinity can be seen throughout the scriptures... The word rapture doesn't appear either but most of us believe in a pretrib rapture and also the word bible is not even found and many others but it doesn't mean that they are not correct
The word trinity in not used in the bible but the concept is. The words "omniscience" which means "all-knowing," "omnipotence" which means "all-powerful," and "omnipresence" which means "present everywhere," are words not found in the Bible either, but we use them to describe the attributes of God. Do you need more? Where is the word bible found in the scriptures? The bible does not use the word bible so why should we use it The bible does not use the word Omnipresence so why should we use it The bible does not use the word Omniscience so why should we use it The bible does not use the word Omnipotence so why should we use it The bible does not use the word divine The bible does not use the word divinity The bible does not use the word Ascension The bible does not use the word Atonement The bible does not use the word Monotheism The bible does not use the word Divinity The bible does not use the word Hermeneutics The bible does not use the word Exegesis The bible does not use the word Rapture The bible does not use the word Incarnation The bible does not use the word Atheism The bible does not use the word Immutability
Since that term, or terms remotely close to it, are not found in Scripture, no. Your looking at the Bible thru a backdated lense, rather than what does Scripture say.
The word God head is in the Bible Acts.17 [29] Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. Rom.1 [20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power andGodhead; so that they are without excuse: Col.2 [9] For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
John 3:16 means Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God that was his flesh body Jesus Christ is God in the flesh at the same time FOR THERE ARE THREE THAT BEAR RECORD IN HEAVEN THE FATHER THE WORD AND THE HOLY GHOST AND THESE THREE ARE ONE - IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD - AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US yes that sounds very straightforward simple to understand you can act arrogant all you want but I believe what the Bible says and I have noticed you own a LOT of bibles how much did those coast you ? Really ?
John 1:185:37 {Jesus states} No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. And the father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. Genesis 17:1, 3 {So who appeared and spoke?} And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, etc. Exodus 3:4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, here am I. John 3:12, 13 {how can Jesus be talking to Nicodemus and be in heaven?} If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Definitely! That’s the reason it’s found organically arrived at all around the world and in all ages. Has anyone every arrived at the trinity the same way?
Brother Waldron, many apostolics now are saying this isn't a salvation issue, which I would say that idea came straight from Satan. Would you agree with them?
Honestly struggling with this...especially the fact that the Father is spirit and the Holy Spirit is spirit. At minimum It seems the words "Trinity" and "3 persons" should not be use since that would seem like adding to the Holy text.
I CANT BELIEVE IN TRINITY . MAYBE JESUS HAS THE BALL NOW. MAT 28 SAYS ALL AUTHORITY OR POWER WAS GIV3N TO HIM. BUT iF HE HAD IT FROM ETERNITY..IT WOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO HIM .?? Confusing.
If the word isn't there, don't put it there. If anyone adds to or takes away from this Book then the plaques mentioned be upon them. Let us not forget where the doctrine of the Trinity came from also. Paganism, pagan philosophers that infiltrated the church, and look where that church in Rome has went.
Irrelevant argument really. What does Scripture say? Colossians 2:9, John 14, I would say Penteocstals do. Jesus is the fulness of the Godhead, not 1/3. He’s the Father.
My position on this is to 'err on the side of scripture along with the pre-nicene writers or 'fathers'. Obviously one could go either way as 'trinity' is not in the Bible but three-in-one is --- along with a plurality of the Godhead in the OT. So I say to God, forgive me if I am wrong and please show me the truth when I see you. For now I remain trinitarian. Looks like the safest bet to me.
It is not saying three persons are one. And the OT does not speak of a plurality of God. Example Elohim is Singular in person, and plural in His powers or attributes. God used the word Elohim when He told Moses I will make you as god to pharaoh. Moses is not three persons. You have to understand the meaning of Hebrew language and Greek. If God is a trinity He would plainly say so in His word. He is not a God of confusion or misleading one into deception. Over 3k times it says He is God alone, and there is no other.
Let us make man in OUR image.@@hargisP2 The Lord on the earth at the time called down fire from the Lord in heaven upon Sodom. No man has seen God at any time yet the Lord spoke with Abraham face to face as the Lord and two companions ate the food Abraham provided. Who did Jacob wrestle with? Then of course there are the passages in the NT. I'm sure you know them. All this for me is enough to not take on a binitarian or modalist doctrine.

Here is the lexicon's words:
The clearest example that showsthe meaning of baptizo is a text from the Greek poet and physicianNicander, who lived about 200 B.C.
Baptism of water, temporary, Spirt permanent perhaps?

Amen Pastor. That is what people fail to do when they read the Bible. They don't bother praying for God's truth to be revealed, they just read and add their own understanding. Lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The three Persons are co equal and co eternal
@A Young Christian Theologian's TH-cam If so, then why does 1 Peter 1:20 say that Jesus was "foreknown before the foundation of the world." If he was "foreknown" by God at one point then that means he didn't exist at that time. Furthermore, if the holy spirit is a person, then why does "he" apparently not know the hour (Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32)?
David the Prince um
N B He obviously did know the day and hour. He wasn’t ignorant. He was telling them what was going to happen. He was saying it wasn’t given for His children to know. We shall be sons of God. We are the son spoken of that doesn’t know the day and hour.

Yes but it’s been awhile ago

This is the heresy of modalism, that God expresses Himself in different persons at different times, rather than being Three Persons. At Jesus’ baptism, all three Persons of the Trinity were present at once.
I’ve done multiple videos showing hat is not what is communicated at His baptism. And it’s generally acknowledged by non-partisan scholarship that so called modalism was the belief of the early Church.
The word trinity is not in Scripture.
Therefore this question, "Is Jesus God?" Is answered thus:
He never dies.
Yes, He is ALL that the Father is.
No, He has always been the Son.
At the appointed time a body was prepared for Jesus.
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, HE said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
The Son who was, (His Spirit), was in the tent of that body and the Father was still living in Him. They are one.
Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and WE will come to them and make our home with them.
One God the Father and one Lord Jesus Christ.
But all doctrines develop
Faith once delivered obviously destroys that thinking.
@@NewLifeOfAlbanyGathe faith delivered states a God of Three Persons, Father, Word, and Holy Ghost.
@@HeavyHeartsShow Not in Scripture. It never says 3 persons. No one said that for decades after the New Testament was closed.
There is a reason the word [Word] in this scripture is capitalized.
@@dustinarmstrong7929 sorry that is wrong. Co equal but yet all power is given unto Jesus, and His name is above all other names, and Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord over all. You have to break the most important rule in biblical interpretation to get a trinity, the rule is don't read into the scripture. Those that go to heaven will only see Jesus, there is only one thrown, when it speaks of Jesus being at the right hand, it is speaking of the position of power, not place. Please learn proper biblical interpretation.
The word was always been in heaven, not the eternal son

Consubstantiality explained
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father, by whom all things were made.- The Nicene Creed
One aspect of the trinity that was fought for hard in the early church is the concept of consubstantiality of the three Persons of the godhead.
We
would have the Son and/or the Spirit not sharing in the
same divine essance as the Father.

Note what some experts say about the Trinity:

The Jews answered him, saying, for a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man makest thyself God.
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are Gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the son of God?
Jesus states " the Father and I are one" He's talking about being one in nature not one in will, we know this because the Jews understood it to be one in nature "thou being a man, makest thyself God", notice they didn't say "a God but just God",
John 5:18 states

Jesus was persecuted and crucified for making himself equal with the “only existing God ", since the Jews only accepted one living God. He was not implying he was a lesser god or a second god, but that he had the same nature or was coexistent with him as an equal. The Jews understood this very clearly.
In Isaiah 40:3
"The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God."
…..So here someone will cry in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of yehôvâh, make straight in the desert a hightway for our God.
Mark 1:3
"The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight."
…..But here the Holy Spirit speaks of Jesus. So in Isaiah the Holy Spirit said Yahweh and in Mark he said Jesus. Is the picture getting clearer? John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus. Isaiah said the way will be prepared for the LORD or in Hebrew Yahweh.

How can I pray for you
That I’d be able to communicate with you so you’d be saved and not believe false ideas about God.
Justin Martyr lived 100 years after the New Testament. And he didn’t believe in an orthodox trinity.
Really ?
John 1:18 5:37 {Jesus states}
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
And the father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
Genesis 17:1, 3 {So who appeared and spoke?}
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, etc.
Exodus 3:4
And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, here am I.
John 3:12, 13 {how can Jesus be talking to Nicodemus and be in heaven?}
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
The trinity is false teaching it's a pagan concept that has never been a jewish belief
Do you really think if you dropped the Bible on an island you’d get oneness
Definitely! That’s the reason it’s found organically arrived at all around the world and in all ages. Has anyone every arrived at the trinity the same way?

Honestly struggling with this...especially the fact that the Father is spirit and the Holy Spirit is spirit. At minimum It seems the words "Trinity" and "3 persons" should not be use since that would seem like adding to the Holy text.

You may be one of the few people in human history to hypothesisize that.
Trinitarians have a higher view of the son
